capture the moment

ahhhh, the end of another week.  And the weather is gorgeous - just in time for the weekend ☺  Just popping in to share my page for the Once Upon a ... Sketch challenge - another fun sketch and great quotation to use:
Here what I've come up with:
I've used the very beautiful papers from the Vintage Chic collection by Heidi Swapp - which you can find at The Scrapbook Store - this is really an amazing collection ☺
Here are some close-up's:
... I love my chevrons - here I've used my EK Sucess punch to create these - have added in some gorgeous Prima and Kaisercraft blooms ...
... love these buzz words from the same collection ... I've used just a small part of the quote for my page ...
... more chevrons and Prima and also a cute camera flair button from Paper Stories ...

... it's always a happy day when I get to 'capture the moment' ☺

Thanks for coming by and have a fabulous weekend ♥

crazy and fun

Hello - back again to share my second page using some beautiful papers and stickers from the Echo Park collection - Very Merry Christmas - thanks to The Scrapbook Store
This photo is also from our Christmas card photo shoot from last year - I got this fun shot and had to scrapbook this one too ☺
I've layered assorted patterns and backed with some messy twine - have also added in star shapes, tiny sticker, buttons and sequins and finished it off using the bright stickers from this collection as my title.
Here are some close-up's:
... some of the twine peaking out from behind the layered papers ... star shapes, buttons, stickers and sequins ...
... sticker letters for my title from the 12x12 alpha sticker sheet ... journalling from my typewriter ...

Another Christmas inspired page - make sure you check out the entire collection at The Scrapbook Store!  You will have a little more time to enter a Grab Our Blinkie Competition and also our monthly sketch competition - lots of great goodies up for the winners ☺

photo fun

Hello - hope your week is starting well.  Today I have a page to share using the Very Merry Christmas paper collection by Echo Park - I had the pleasure of this being in my design team kit from The Scrapbook Shop for October.
It's a great collection with colours of reds, greens and browns, some vintage prints, geometric designs and Christmas stickers.
For this LO I've used the 12x12 pattern paper Quatrefoil as my base and have given it some texture using paste and a CW stencil - mini circle grid.  The photo is of my four lads,  posing in their Santa hats - we used this as our family Christmas card for last year☺
Here are some close-up's:
... some of the sticker elements - tags and titles ...
... a Kaisercraft wooden flourish - Holly - which I've covered with Diamond Dust ...
... a close-up of the textured stencil work and glimmer-misting ... another sticker element ...

You can see the whole collection at The Scrapbook Store !!
I'll be back soon with another page - thanks for coming by ☺

hello - hope your week is going wonderfully well ☺  I'm getting back into routine after school holidays and catching up on lots of stuff - all good ☺
I have another page to share using my October Design Team Kit from
Some of the 12x12 papers have the most amazing patterns - you just don't want to cover them up ☺For this page I've used Architect 12x12 as my base and have done a little background stamping.  Here are some close-up's:
... a decorative wood embellishment ... prima flower ... prima light-bulb trinket ... I've also used the MFT - Fancy Flourish die-cut to sit behind the flower ...
... another light-bulb trinket and decorative wood embellishment - the sticker labels are from the Alphabet Sticker sheet ...
... some computer journalling ... my background uses a Kaisercraft bubble stamp and also the Prima stamp - Tea Thyme ...
I've created this LO using the Prima BAP sketch for October:
You can view the whole Prima - Craftsman collection at The Scrapbook Store - don't forget about the monthly sketch challenge - a $40.00 voucher from the shop will be given away ☺  We've also got the Grab our Blinkie competition too - lots of fun things happening.

moments in time

Hello - today I'm going to share a page using Prima - I received the Craftsman Collection from Prima in my Design Team kit from The Scrapbook Store - did a little happy dance when I found out I was getting that one (we really do get spoilt) - I LOVE Prima and this collection is fabulous with it's rich colour tones and beautiful embellishments.
A photo fresh from the printer of our recent camping holiday ☺ I've used the 12x12 double sided paper  Draftsman as my base and used a simple banner style design.
With the photo in the centre, I've made two clusters of flowers and embellishments.
Here are some close-up's:
... a selection of Prima flowers - a decorative wood embellishment - some hemp twine ...
... Prima light-bulb trinkets - these are just adorable ♥ - Alphabet stickers from this collection - computer journalling - the background script stamping is from this stamp by Prima - Tea Thyme collection - I think it's going to be a favourite for a little while. ♥
Prima Marketing - Tea-Thyme - Cling Stamps
I've finished off my page with some machine stitching around the edge of the page!
You can view the whole collection at The Scrapbook Store!!
Don't forget to join in with our fabulous competition this month - Grab our Blinkie - you can view all the details HERE

you are blessed

Hello - the school holidays are coming to an end - we've been enjoying some family time away, travelling and camping - it's been great and lots of fun ☺
I'm here to share my inspiration for the latest challenge at ARTastic - this month I'm hosting the challenge and it's all about 'handmade flowers' - inspired by this painting by Liza Posar.

... and here's what I've come up with - a canvas!!  I've also made up a tutorial on how I created this canvas which you can view on the ARTastic blog

The handmade flowers on this canvas were created using this tutorial at: Little Birdie Secrets.

We'd love to see you give this challenge a go - there is a great prize for the winner which I've donated.  Pop over to the ARTastic blog to see all the inspiration from the Design Team and details of the challenge.

childhood moments

Hello - I'm here to share my inspiration for the October challenge at White with 1 - it's a fun and easy challenge: White & Yellow & Stars !  Here's my layout:

I just had to record this sweet moment of my little man and his little 'girlfriend'.
For this challenge I went thru my stash of papers and picked out different patterns of yellow paper, then cut them into strips and layered them onto the page.  It's an easy design and I've complimented it with a star banner!  Here are some close-up's:
... a super star from Charms Creations - buttons and star cut-out's - finished off with yellow twine ...
... AC thickers ... paper and crochet doilies, some random star stamping ...
... a Kaisercraft rub-on - I always love this quote ...

I hope you love the sound of this challenge - please check the blog for all the details and also see more inspiration from the Creative Team - we look forward to seeing your creations soon ☺

cheeky monkey

Well it's October - don't the months just fly by so quickly.  Hope you all kept well the past month and are ready to take on a new one.  Challenge wise - I have the sketch from
The Scrapbook Store to share with you. Here is the fabulous sketch:

... and here is my page ...
Another page of my little man - he is such a sweetie and such a little poser for me ☺  I've done something a little different here by using a cork coaster as a little frame for the photo - then I've placed this over the large print of the same photo.  I've used an array of different flowers, chipboard, some Prima paper and crochet doilies.  Here are some close-up's of the details:

 ... the cork frame which I found at an op-shop ☺ ...
... Prima flowers, hand-made crochet flower, Kaisercraft mini paper blooms and felt rolled flowers made using MFT rolled rose die ...
... a Kaisercraft wooden flourish - Plaque to which I've added the title ...

I hope I've inspired you to play along with this sketch - we would love to see your layouts in the gallery - a $40.00 voucher from the store will be for the winner which is a random draw.
Thanks for coming by and happy creating ☺
