Scrapbook pages

I've been doing scrapbook pages the last few days and here are a few layouts. These are pages for my SU 8x8 albums that I'm doing, one for each of my boys and will be all about their first year in Busselton. It's alot of fun working with this size, very quick and easy.

Some details of the pages are as follows:
* I've covered the number 5 using 'Sara' paper from SU and then sanded back the sides.
* In the first layout, I've run the Cuttlebug thru some of the cardstock
* Stamp sets: Be Happy, Print Pattern BG, Lexicon of Love, So Very (from Sellabrations) , Warm words (wonderful sentiment)
* Acessories: Gingham, Brads, Hodgepodge

Changes

You will have noticed I've added a picture to the header of my blog and I've also change the name to Chantelle's Stampin Space. The picture and name don't reflect each other but my blog is a combination of sharing with you my family and what we do and also my other love: stamping. I also love taking pictures of scenery, people and whatever comes my way. For those that know where I live, you will recognize the picture as the Busselton Jetty, a very iconic feature and a nice place to be.

I haven't posted much lately but have still been busy creating. I will try and post later what I've been doing.

My card goes to....

Well, I've drawn a name out of the hat, actually my DH did this for me. So I will be sending my 'Reasons to Smile' card to..... Trish from Hamilton, Canada. Please email me with your mailing address and I will send it to you (chuizeng@bigpond.net.au)
Thanks to you all for commenting on my humble little blog. I've met some new people along the way and it's been fun sharing a little bit of me with you as well. I will certainly be doing some more give-aways soon.

Reasons to Smile.....

Card Recipe: Paisley BG, Reasons to Smile
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Mellow Moss, Whisper White
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Mellow Moss
Accessories: Hodgepodge, Gingham

Today I've made a card using two of my new stamp sets: Paisley BG and Reasons to Smile. And I just love them. Paisley has always been a favourite of mine and when I saw it was in the new catalogue, it was definately the first stamp I ordered. Reasons to Smile is one of the Hostess Free Stamps Sets you can redeem when having workshops/demonstrations.

I'm having a giveaway. Leave a comment on this post and tell me where you are from. On Wednesday night, 25th April, I'm going to draw a name and that person will receive this card. Thanks and enjoy!

Busselton Jetty

Late this afternoon, I took the boys down to the Jetty with their bikes for them to have a bit of fresh air (and for me to play with my camera). Was about 4.00pm and the sky was beautiful with some dark clouds in the background, though the camera does not pick this up too well. Anyway, had to take a picture of the iconic Busselton Jetty and the surroundings. Also got some really cute pictures of the boys posing together on the beach. They actually quite enjoyed it. Sometimes when they see the camera, they say 'not another photo mum'.

Well, I can't help taking photo's of my three beautiful boys. Precious memories and more photo's for my scrapbooks!!

More cards with the Cuttlebug

I made this card today for a friends birthday. I've used the 'Delight in Life' stamp set from the Sellabrations promotion. Haven't used it much so thought I'd have a play. I think it really goes well with the Swirl embossing folder from the Cuttlebug. I've used Watercolour crayons for the flower and sprinkled the centre of the flower with glitter; cut it out and mounted onto the scallop oval.

Ink: Basic Black, Apricot Appeal
Accessories: Gingam ribbon, Oval Scallop Punch (Carl), Cuttlebug, Paper Piercing

I made this card a few days ago after purchasing this patterned paper from 'Around the Block'. I thought it matched in nicely with the 'Bloom Dots' embossing folder. I must say, I'm very happy about getting the Cuttlebug. It's so much fun to use!!

Web counter

Some of you may have noticed I now have a web counter, which basically gives me an idea how many people come onto my blog. I've only had it for a few days and it is already over the 50 mark. That is over 50 visitors checking out my blog. Quite amazing!!!

Easter Break

Just wanted to share with you a few photo's from today. This is a little park just around the corner from our house. Renae and I walked there with the kids to let them have a little play. She came past to say 'goodbye' as she was leaving to go back to Perth.

TYSON
AMBER
ADAM & KYLE
LIAM

Well, we did have a nice Easter time. Craig & Renae came down from Perth to spend a week at their holiday home. We spent time at the beach, had nice dinner's and lots of time just chatting. The boys went out fishing on Saturday morning and Warren came home with a nice Dhu fish. Yummy!! Kyle, especially loved seeing his cousin Adam. They can spend hours together, playing lego, colouring-in, talking and just hanging out together. We can't wait to see them again.

Cards using the Cuttlebug

Finally as promised, I've uploaded a few cards using the Cuttlebug. It's a lot of fun using it on cards and I'm finding it adds a 'special touch' to the cardstock. Am waiting for a few more embossing folders so I can keep playing.
Card Recipe - Stamp set: Fishy Friends
Stamped on Watercolour paper and coloured in with Watercolour pencils. One of my favourite things to do at the moment. Also did the masking technique for the starfish which I've only just tried out. That will be another favourite of mine.

Card Recipe: Stamp Set: Looks like Spring with co-ordinating Spring Showers DP. The scallop square is a die from the Cuttlebug.
Card Recipe: Stamp Set - Looks like Spring. Used the Cuttlebug Swirl on the Handsome Hunter cardstock and swiped it with Whisper White ink to make it stand out. Have used the 'rock-n-roll' technique on the flower.
Card Recipe: Stamp set - Birthday best (had this stamp set for a while now but have only just started playing with it) Used the masking technique for the cupcakes - so much fun. Love this background for the Cuttlebug as well.

I've more to upload for you soon. Keep watching. Am waiting for my new SU supplies which should be arriving any day now so I will be trying out some stamp sets from the new Catalogue. Very exciting and can't wait.

Scrapbook page

I've recently started three small 8x8 scrapbook albums for each of my boys, using only SU products so that I can use as samples for my SU demonstrations. These are two layouts I've made using some great photo's of Liam which I took very recently. I knew straight away when I saw these photo's that I wanted to use the 'Stipple Shells' stamp set. And I also found some 'Going Grey' cardstock in my stash which I've never used before. I love these colours and was very pleased with the end result. Simple, with the main focus being on the photo!!

Note: The journalling on the first layout was inspired by a comment on my blog about these photo's. Thank you so much Lisa!!
