June sketch for The Scrapbook Store

Hello to you on this first day of June and also Winter :)  It's certainly starting off very chilly!
The beginning of the month and that means new challenges.  Today I'm sharing the sketch for June from The Scrapbook Store - it's by Page Maps:

 JuneSketch
Here is my take on the sketch:
I've used an older collection from Echo Park - For the Record 2 - I love the greens and how they've worked so well with my photo.  Here are some close-up's of the details:

Here I've recycled a roll of 'finished tape' - I've adhered strips of pattern paper on the inside and outside of the roll and placed it over the photo.  I've been wanted to try this one out for a while and I love how it's turned out on this page.  I've created a flower cluster using some Prima blooms and leaves.
The chipboard pieces and stickers are also from this EP collection
Here is another view of the 'tape roll' photo frame.
These rub-on's are by Kaisercraft.

Isn't this a great sketch!!  We hope you can join in this month ☺  A random winner will be chosen for a $40.00 voucher from the store, so we look forward to seeing your page in the gallery!

The Scrapbook Store - May Sketch Challenge

Welcome to Marvelous May - can you believe how quickly time is passing by?  And we are already nearing the end of our two week school holiday break - we've just enjoyed some camping time at a lovely place near a river - perfect spot for the boys ☺
Seeing as it's the 1st of the month, I'm sharing the May sketch for The Scrapbook Store.  This sketch is by Page Maps and I really enjoyed working with it:

And here's the page I created:
I've used the sweet collection of All About A Boy by Echo Park Papers - it matched in so well with these pictures of my youngest ☺
Here are some close-up's:
Echo Park do their sticker collections so well - this element of the sketch is make up of stickers from the12x12 element sticker sheet
... this balloon sticker is so cute - I've matted onto white cardstock and then attached to my page - I've also used one of the Prima Trinkets with an enamel dot to the centre ...
... I've cut out an arrow from the pattern paper and then attached a button for some added interest.  I love how this sketch has allowed for lots of interpretation.  I've finished off my page with stamping and spots of mist ☺

We hope you can join in this month - there is a $40.00 voucher for the randomly picked winner - check out the gallery for more inspiration ☺
Thanks for coming by!!

us - you & me = Scrap for Help

Another challenge share!!  This one is for Scrap for Help - if you love using Burlap, you will love this challenge ☺

 Here's what I've created:
This is a holiday snap of me and my boy, walking along the beach at Port Gregory ☺  I've used Burlap in two places - one as a backing to the chipboard hot air balloon and one as a matting for my photo.  Here are some close-up's:

... this chipboard balloon is from The Scrapbook Store - their own line of chipboard - I've coated it with gesso and lightly stamped over with ink - then I've placed natural colour burlap behind the balloon ...

... some stamping and also a cut-out using my Silhouette ...
... some of the yellow burlap used as a mat for the photo ...
... some of my typewriter journalling and the red chevron is a little bag from The Greatest View.

We hope you can join in this month - it's a fun challenge!!  Check out all the details on the Scrap for Help blog as well as lots of inspiration from the Design Team.

I have one last page to share using the delightful collection Scoot by Echo Park - you can find this one in The Scrapbook Store.

This is a very recent photo of my youngest on a beach outing - he was sitting on this wooden swing and I got the most beautiful photo's - so you may see a few more ☺☺
I've used up all the left-over bits from my kit - creating strips of paper and also a banner with some of the great patterns.  I've also added in some Hambly overlay and a cute lightbulb chipboard piece from Scrap FX.  Here are some close-up's:

... the layered elements of pattern paper, stickers and Studio Calico Frame ... I love the Kaisercraft Sparklets - they definitely add some shine to your page ...

... the title is the 12x12 sticker sheet from this collection - great for titles ... I've added white gesso to the lightbulb chipboard - just to give it some texture ...
... and the banner made from a circle punch - have also been used the Silhouette again ☺ ...

camping adventures

I'm going along nicely with my DT kit for February for The Scrapbook Store - this collection Scoot by Echo Park has been heaps of fun.
I've gone with a more 'scenic photo' of my boys jumping into the pool at Pemberton - this one makes me laugh (as my journalling states)  they had their snorkle and goggles on, when it wasn't very clear water that they were jumping in to - LOL ☺
I've used some of the pattern papers to mat the photo and then used some of the papers to create some lettering and shapes using the Silhouette ☺  Have also used more chevron washi and some lovely twine.  Here are some close-up's:
... my typewriter journalling ...

... sticker letters from this Echo Park collection ... I have a manilla tag peaking out from behind the photo too ...

 ... some of my Silhouette cut-out's ...
... and more from the Silhouette as well as the washi tape along the side ...

16 years

Hello - I can now share that I'm on the Design Team for The Studio Challenges ☺  Yay - this is going to be fun - they have two awesome challenges each month.  The latest one is a theme challenge:  all about love and to include more than 5 hearts ♥
Here's what I've created:
I've used some pictures from our anniversary of last year - we went out for dinner with some friends and managed to get these fine snaps ☺I've used various hearts as you can see: some wooden, stamped, stickers and punch-out's.  Most of the papers are by Echo Park - Everyday Eclectic - such a great collection.  Here are some close-up's:

... I've used the negative - a scrap piece of paper I had laying around ...
... loving the combination of stickers, wooden accents, stamps and even a glitter heart ...
...some journalling with my typewriter...

Check out the challenge blog for details and more inspiration from the fabulous Design Team - we hope you can play along ☺

Hello - back again to share my second page using some beautiful papers and stickers from the Echo Park collection - Very Merry Christmas - thanks to The Scrapbook Store
This photo is also from our Christmas card photo shoot from last year - I got this fun shot and had to scrapbook this one too ☺
I've layered assorted patterns and backed with some messy twine - have also added in star shapes, tiny sticker, buttons and sequins and finished it off using the bright stickers from this collection as my title.
Here are some close-up's:
... some of the twine peaking out from behind the layered papers ... star shapes, buttons, stickers and sequins ...
... sticker letters for my title from the 12x12 alpha sticker sheet ... journalling from my typewriter ...

Another Christmas inspired page - make sure you check out the entire collection at The Scrapbook Store!  You will have a little more time to enter a Grab Our Blinkie Competition and also our monthly sketch competition - lots of great goodies up for the winners ☺

photo fun

Hello - hope your week is starting well.  Today I have a page to share using the Very Merry Christmas paper collection by Echo Park - I had the pleasure of this being in my design team kit from The Scrapbook Shop for October.
It's a great collection with colours of reds, greens and browns, some vintage prints, geometric designs and Christmas stickers.
For this LO I've used the 12x12 pattern paper Quatrefoil as my base and have given it some texture using paste and a CW stencil - mini circle grid.  The photo is of my four lads,  posing in their Santa hats - we used this as our family Christmas card for last year☺
Here are some close-up's:
... some of the sticker elements - tags and titles ...
... a Kaisercraft wooden flourish - Holly - which I've covered with Diamond Dust ...
... a close-up of the textured stencil work and glimmer-misting ... another sticker element ...

You can see the whole collection at The Scrapbook Store !!
I'll be back soon with another page - thanks for coming by ☺

a few more from Echo Park - Paradise Beach collection!!

Hello, I'm back to show you my final two LO's that I created using my kit from
Handmade by Suzanne - show-casing Echo Park - Paradise Beach.  I very much enjoyed working with this collection ☺

I've used a picture of my sweet niece who just LOVES the beach.  She is definitely a 'surfer girl' ☺
For the page I've used a lot of strips of paper - one of the pattern papers has lots of pieces that you can cut out!  I've also misted in the background using one of the OA Sprinkler mists - Frequent Flyer - this is my absolute favourite at the moment.  Perfect for subtle backgrounds.
Here are some close-up's:
... wooden Kaisercraft shapes - these are the clam shells I received in my kit.  This time I've coloured the wooden shapes with my Copic Markers and then used dimensional magic to give it some gloss.  It's come up beautiful and shiny ☺
You can also see a punched border - this is a new punch called French Scroll - MS round the page set.
 ... my computer journalling ...
 ... a layered paper bloom with a cabachon ...

And my next one:
I love the design of this page - it's fun and easy and always works.  I've used a picture of my friends two little girls - don't they look sweet!!  I've used some of that OA mist again with a flower mask that I had in my collection ☺The flags have been cut from the pattern papers.
Here are some close-up's:
... Prima flowers and some paper blooms - I love adding a cabachon to the centre to finish them off ... some twine to attach my pegs which hold the photo and flags ...
... letters from the EP sticker sheet - I've firstly matted them on white cardstock, then cut them out and inked the edges.  A few of the letters I've mounted on foam tape ...

I hope you've lasted this far ☺☺
And I really hope you've enjoyed my inspiration for Echo Park - Paradise beach collection.  It's been awesome showing you all.
Thanks for coming by.
