Sweet on You

It's going to be quiet here for a week or so. We are heading off to Tassie tommorow. So I'm leaving you with this post. This is my card for my upline's get together, later on this week. I'm sending them off today and hope they all love my contribution.

Using Sweet on You and the DP Loves Me from the Summer mini catalogue, it's really easy to come up with cards that are simple, sweet and colour co-ordinated. Heaps of fun!! I've also made a fun little clip with a magnet attached to back so it can go on the fridge with little reminder notes.

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Riveting (hostess), Sweet on You
Cardstock: Taken with Teal, Close to Cocoa, Regal Rose, Cool Carribean, DP Loves Me
Ink: Regal Rose, Cool Carribean
Accessories: Pink Grosgrain, Brads, Circle Punches, Glitter, Dimensionals

Picture Perfect

.... always a great moment, being on the beach, enjoying the sunshine, sand between your toes, looking for something to catch with your net.....

Stem Silhouettes

Sitting here in my craft room, I can't believe the cooler change in weather. It's looking quite wintry with the wind and light rain. Must be something to do with the cyclone up north of our state. I just hope Summer has not disappeared yet!!

Anyway, I've made these two cards today. Stem Silhouette from the Summer mini catalogue has not seen alot of ink as yet, so I thought I should have some fun with it. Guided by the DP Enchante', I've chosen Elegant Eggplant and Certain Celery as the main colour combo with some Almost Amythest. The sentiments are from Small Sayings, also from Summer mini.

With this second card, I've sponged a circle silhouette with Almost Amythest ink to add some contrast in the back-ground. I quite like this effect. Have also used the Cuttlebug and Hodgepodge Hardware.
Speaking of the Summer mini catalogue; there's only just over one more month before this catalogue finishes. There's some exciting times ahead. Next month we will be receiving the retiring list of stamps from the current catalogue, to make way for more new and exciting stamps to be released in the new catalogue on April 1st.

A few random cards....

I know, I haven't been posting much here lately. The weather has been very warm, which has left me feeling very tired. But today, it's much better. A nice cool change and with that comes some of my creations. Here are a few random cards, some for birthdays and some for my stash. I've used my neglected Cuttlebug and had some fun with that and also a Hanna stamp. I really enjoy colouring and paper-peicing the image.

'Wild about You' - Cool Carribean, Real Red & Night of Navy
'Hanna' - Vintage Violet, Pale Plum & Mellow Moss (for my sister's birthday)
'Love Matters' from Summer mini - Rose Red, Certain Celery & Pretty in Pink.
'Friendship Blooms' from SAB - Pale Plum, Sage Shadow and DP - I've masked the flower and then sponged around the image so the actual flower remains white.

On the family front: All things are going well. I've had a little ultra-sound at my doctor. Just one little bambino kicking around this time. It was exciting to see the little one and made it feel very real. The boys keep hugging my tummy and checking to see if it's growing (which it is) - very cute!!

Tuesday's card

For the stamping team I'm part of, we had to make a card using a stamp set from Sale-a-bration. I chose Friendship Blooms and Lots of Thoughts.
I've done reverse masking for my card design. I made a frame and temp. positioned to the Whisper White cardstock. In the space I've stamped the large flower, swirl and leave. I also masked off the flower so the images would look to be behind the flower. With the temp. frame still in position I've sponged in the edges with Regal Rose ink to create the frame. When the temp. frame is removed you have the below effect.
The card has been completed with Black gingham and a tag with Happy Hellos sentiment.

Card Recipe:

Stamp set: Friendship Bloom, Lots of Thoughts
Cardstock: Regal Rose, Whisper White
Ink: Regal Rose, Certain Celery, Basic Black
Accessories: Tag punch, Ribbon, Black eyelet, Sponge
