Bizzy Becs May Competition

Here's my card I created for this challenge:

I've used a sweet digital stamp from Specsh Designer Stamps - this one is Kei with butterfly.

I've coloured her in with Copic markers on X-Press It blending card.  To add some bling to the image, I've used some glitter glue on the butterfly and bow.

The papers are from Basic Grey - Green at Heart - wow, they have some gorgeous patterns and colours.

For my embellishments, I've added a row of rhinestones - these are from Bizzy Becs - for these little cuties, I've put down a strip of double-sided tape and then randomly placed the rhinestones to create this strip of bling!!

I have a doily flower embellishment with a button to centre and also another rhinestone poped into the button centre.  You can find these doilies right here in my Etsy store.

I've also added a pin, another item from Bizzy Bec - handmade by her.

There is some wide lace added and a sentiment to finish it off.

Delicious Diva Challenges

Well I did manage to have a go at the colour challenge over at the Delicious Diva Challenges
These are the colours we had to work with: Barely Banana, Cameo Coral, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie - wow - certainly something different.
And here's my creations:

I used a cute image stamp from Bizzy Bec's own line of stamps - This is Lilly and isn't she just so cute. I stamped the image onto water colour paper and used my ink pads and aqua painter to colour in.

With the chosen colours, I've layered up the various pieces of cardstock along with some spotted DP that I found in my stash. For the sentiment, I used the Great Friend stamp set and the label punch, then added the frame from the Hodgepodge hardware.

Then I've finished off the card with some wide grosgrain ribbon in the Old Olive.

I wasn't too sure how all these colours would combine, but in the end they worked out just fine and I had lots of fun with this card. Thanks Kel and Kristy.

Just 'Jewel'

I love this cute stamp of 'Jewel' by Bizzy Bec. I had coloured her in the other week and decided to put her on a card. So using no particular sketch or colour inspiration, I whipped up this one!
I've started off with a base card in Pink Pirouette, then added a layer of the Designer Series Paper in the Pirouette, which I've paper pierced around the edges. I just did a paper share with all these lovely papers and it is just so nice to have all of the colours on hand!
I've stamped 'Jewel' onto some white cardstock in the Stazon Black and have used my SU marker pens to colour. She has some glittery bits on her belt, buttons and hair. Too cute!!
Then I've layered the stamped image onto Ballet Blue and Regal Rose. I've used the Eyelet border punch to add a strip to the side of the image.
The sentiment is from Best Yet (hostess set) and I've used the circle punch and label punch to layer it. I've also used on the the brads from the Silver Hodgepodge hardware.
To finish off the card, I've used some wide striped ribbon in Pink Pirouette.

Hippie Girl Jewel - Bizzy Becs

I received in the mail last week, another stamp from Bizzy Bec's own line of stamps. This one is Hippie Girl Jewel. Isn't she just cool!! I also got lots of little pieces of fabric, perfect to add to my cards.
Onto Whisper White cardstock, I've layered the fabric (top panel), Certain Celery & Regal Rose cardstock. I've used my Cuttlebug on the Rose cardstock.
Then I've stamped the image onto Whisper White cardstock with Stazon black ink, coloured in with ink pads and blender pens. I also stamped the image onto some Celery dotted DP and just cut out the pants only, for some paper-peicing. I added some glitter to her jewellery and a little pink stone on the flower in her hair.
The sentiment is from Warm Words and I've finished off the card with some wide Celery grosgrain ribbon.


So there you have it. My first card with fabric and Hippie Girl Jewel; hope to show you some more soon.

Stylish Tom

A little while back, Bec over at Bizzy Bec's had a competition to name her new line of stamps. One of my names happened to be a winner: Stylish Tom. Bec kindly sent me the stamp of this cool guy and I've finally had a chance to make a card with him!

The base card is Night of Navy to which I've stamped the Tres' Chic background stamp in the same colour ink. Then I've added a strip of DP from the Crew Kids Boy Scrappin' Kit.

The image has been stamped onto Whisper White with Stazon black ink. I've coloured in with my Watercolour Crayons. I haven't used these in ages, and it reminded me that I should pull them out more often, as they are great for colouring-in! To make him a little more stylish, I added some dazzling diamond glitter to the colour of his suit. I've matted this onto Bashful Blue cardstock and distressed the edges with the Cutter tool kit.

I've added the 'sparkle' sentiment from Warm Words, some navy grosgrain ribbon and two brads.

This is going to be a great stamp for those stylish masculine cards that I may need.
