February sketch for The Scrapbook Store

Hey everyone - February already ..........  The monthly sketch is up at The Scrapbook Store and I'm popping in to share my inspiration.
Here is the sketch - remember, sketches are just a starting point for your page ......
 ..... and here's what I've created:
I still had some left-overs from my Jan kit, so I've used some papers from Simple Stories - the Daily Grind collection.  I really wanted to make use of the Sn@p pockets, so I've made a little collage of photo's to fit in the pocket.  A great way to add extra photos to your page.
Here are some close-up's:
I have always loved to make my own embellishments.  Here I've used bottlecaps, the 1" circle punch and an epoxy dot to create these two bottlecap flairs ☺
I've also snuck in another speech bubble by WOW.
Here is the Sn@p pocket from this collection.  I've created a collage of photo's - adding in a little title + peg - it fits nicely in the pocket.
For my title I've used my Silhouette and used the brush script font and black cardstock, then I've outlined in black pen.
For the different textures on this page, I first used a CW mini circle grid stencil with modelling paste.  Once dry, I've swiped over with grey paint, added splatters of mist, script stamp + stitched circle stamp with ink.
The black mini pegs hold the spray of flowers from Green Tara.

Product used:
Bottle Caps
1" circle punch
modelling paste
Silhouette - title
Prima - Stitched circle stamp
Prima - Script stamp

Please check the gallery for more inspiration for the sketch.  We hope you can play along this month - as always there is a $40.00 voucher for the randomly picked winner!!
Thanks so much for coming by ♥

hello Summer

Hello crafty people!!  Well school holidays are done and it's time to get back into normal routine again.  Going to miss my boys but will enjoy the quiet crafting times that I can now have ☺  Today I'm sharing another page that I did with my Jan kit from The Scrapbook Store.

I've been working with Daily Grind by Simple Stories!!  A fun collection suitable for those every day moments and a nice one for Project Life too ☺
Here I've used papers from the collection as well as a Sn@p pocket.  I've also used the Worn Out Stencil from Memory Box for my title.
Here are some close-up's:
My typewriter journal work.  It's great to look back on pages when they have a date and a little 'story' about the photo!
The cute little camera has been cut-out from a pattern paper.
I've used one of the WOW speech bubbles on the photo.  For my title I've traced the letters from the Worn Out Memory Box stencil with black pen and then coloured in with a Molotow paint marker.
For some finishing touches, I've added in a crochet doily, some sequins + stamping with splashes of mist.

Product used:
crochet doily
MME pin
sequins
ink
script stamp
black pen

Thanks for coming by and checking out my post ☺
I'll be back with some more scrapbook soon ...........

hello

Hello - the school holidays and birthdays have keep me busy and away from here - we just have a few more days left and it's back to school, so we are making the most of it and enjoying ourselves ☺
I've still been working with my DT kit from The Scrapbook Store.  Today I'm sharing a page using Simple Stories - the Daily Grind collection. It's one of those great collections that you can use for the 'everyday' happenings in your life.  It really is quite versatile!!

I've used this lovely woodgrain look paper as my background - it already had some elements printed on the page.  I've used a new stencil by Memory Box called Worn Alphabet.  I've also used a couple of other embellishments which I will list later in the post.  Here are some close-up's:
Texture paste always looks great on a dark background - here I've used the stencil with white texture paste and then just lightly stamped with a script stamp.  I love making use of the packaging - here I've matted the photo with some Prima packaging!
I've also created some faux flair by punching out some 1" circles from the pattern paper and then adding an epoxy dot.
This collection comes with some fun pockets in different shapes and sizes - I've used this smaller one and added in a shipping tag, creating a cluster of embellishments.  There is also another faux flair and I've added some mist to a canvas white flower to add some colour.
I am loving these WOW speech bubble - just the cutest embellishment.  My title is from some Jillibean Soup stickers.

Product used:
12x12 pattern paper - Simple Stories - Hello New Day
Shipping Tag
Script Stamp
Ink
Texture paste
Jillibean Soup - Wise words stickers
cotton thread
canvas flower
mist

I will have another share from this fabulous collection soon - there is still some product available from this collection - please check the online store.

Thanks for coming by ♥

The Scrapbook Store - birthday autograph book

Hey - hello crafty friends.  In my DT kit for September from The Scrapbook Store, I received the cute little autograph book from the 'Say Cheese' collection by Simple Stories.  After a little bit of thinking, I decided to use it to record my youngest sons birthday.  I've included a photo from each year and a little bit about what we did.

This is the cover - I've used one of the chipboard stickers, added a title using the alpha's from the Expressions Cardstock stickers and added in some twine and a crochet heart .... which I'm really enjoying making at the moment ☺

Here are closer details of each page - all products are from this collection:
'Say Cheese' collection - Autograph Book
Chipboard Stickers
Expressions Cardstock Stickers
'Say Cheese' Pattern Papers

He's just turned five recently, so we still have lots of room in this autograph book.  I love how it's coming along and look forward to filling it up in the years to come.

The Scrapbook Store - Say Cheese Collection - Simple Stories

Hey everyone - I have another share using my DT kit from The Scrapbook Store.  It's been such fun, creating with the wonderful collection 'Say Cheese' by Simple Stories.  I have enjoyed the bright colours and fun chipboard elements.

I love this happy picture of one of my boys ☺  I've designed a banner style page using various items from this collection.
Here are some close-up's of the details:
The word 'magic' is a card from the Sn@p cuts - I've layered some of the pattern paper 12x12 Best Day Ever behind the word.  Then I've outlined in black pen to give it more definition.
This collection includes a few sheets of 3x4 journal cards which can be cut out - I added some stitching and stamping to this one.
These are some of the chipboard elements - I used the WHOLE sheet in my creations from this month - they are all really good ☺  I've also used some of the stickers from the Expressions Cardstock Sticker sheet.

Products used:
Pegs
Twine
Sequins
Black pen
Machine Stitching
Ink
Script stamp
Hand-made crochet heart

Simple Stories - Say Cheese Collection - The Scrapbook Store

Hello - this week has allowed me some quieter days of crafting which has been wonderful.  This is my second page using my DT Kit of 'Say Cheese' by Simple Stories for The Scrapbook Store.  I'm enjoying this collection, the colours are wonderful and the designs on the papers are so fun.
Check out the background paper of this layout ............
I managed to get a bunch of photo's of my boys last week, so I'm using a number of them for this collection ☺
The background paper in this page is the 12x12 pattern paper Fun - I really didn't want to cover it up too much.  As well as this collection, I've also used some Distress Glitter by Ranger and a Heidi Swapp stencil - here are some close-up's:

A Magic Moment is my title - the word 'magic' is a chipboard sticker from this collection.  You can also see a strip of glitter - I've placed down a strip of double-sided tape and sprinkled with the 'fired brick' Distress Glitter - adds some wonderful sparkle to the page ☺
I just LOVE chipboard stickers and the ones in this collection are so cute - they really add dimension to the page too!!
The die-cut camera is from the Sn@p cuts and I've added a chipboard sticker heart to it too.  As some background texture, I've used the Heidi Swapp 6x6 stencil Confetti with texture paste.  This stencil is just adorable - it's got hearts, stars and dots all on the one stencil!!  Love, LOVE ☺

I hope you are enjoying this collection so far - I've plenty more to share during this month ☺  In the meantime, please check The Scrapbook Store online to view the entire collection.

Simple Stories - Say Cheese - The Scrapbook Store

Hey again ☺  This month I have the wonderful task of creating with 'Say Cheese' by Simple Stories for The Scrapbook Store ...... how fun ☺
This collection is Disney Themed but don't let that stop you from taking a peek at it ..... it can be used for so many more everyday themes, as well as Project Life too.  It has a wonderful selection of colours and embellishments to work with.
Today I'm sharing my first DT page:

As well as pattern papers, there is a selection of more solid colour papers, such as this black with the subtle black dots.  Seeing as I rarely use black as my background and that I really like the whole blackboard look at the moment, I decided to use this 12x12 Black Dot/Stripe pattern paper!!  I've cut out some elements from other pattern papers in this collection and teamed it up with chipboard stickers and a new stencil by WOW Alta Matz - Moroccan 6x6.  Here are some close-up's:
I've used modelling paste along with the stencil to create this background - white really pops out from the black and I've added some splashes of mist to add colour.  There is also some sprinkling of glitter - Distressed Glitter - Fired Brick.  I really loved working with this new stencil and was super impressed with the crisp image that comes with modelling paste.
The banner and stars are Chipboard Stickers from this collection - chipboard stickers always give nice layers to your pages ☺
These are assorted elements that I've cut out from some of the papers.  Have also used some stickers from the Expressions Cardstock Stickers. So many stickers, letters and words on the one page - definitely great value ☺
And here is some more background texture with the stencil.  I've also added in a hand-made crochet heart - I love to crochet and made up a bundle of hearts the other day to use on my pages.
I've also stamped with white ink and a script stamp and used a white pen for some outlining.

Products used:
Modelling paste
sequins
crochet heart
script stamp
white ink
white pen

If you would love to create with this fabulous collection, please pop over to The Scrapbook Store to see the whole collection.  Thanks so much for coming by ♥

Simple Stories - I (heart) Summer - The Scrapbook Store

Hello - another share for The Scrapbook Store.  I've had so much fun creating with Simple Stories - I (heart) Summer - definitely one of those 'must have' collections ☺

This one is bright and colourful and I've used a recent photo taken during these past school holidays on an outing to a fun park that is about 45 mins from where we live.  It's huge and is such a great place for little and big kids ☺ I've used some of the left-over pattern papers in my kit and also a Manor House vine which was also a part of my DT kit.  Here are some close-up's:
I love it when the pattern paper has words and titles!!  Here is a little cluster of the Manor House vine in Red - these are so big and I've actually cut bits off the vine so I could use it in a few places on my page ..... and I still have some left-over.  I've also tucked in a paper lace doily, little white tag and some flair badges from this collection.
The title is from the 12x12 Expressions Cardstock stickers and I've out-lined them in black pen.  I've used some of the Sn@p cards under the photo and along the side of it.
Here is another piece of the Manor House Vine, as well as another flair - I think I've used nearly two packs this month for my DT creations - I love them so much ☺

I hope you have been inspired by I (heart) Summer - Simple Stories - perfect for Summer pictures or just those fun bright photo's you have laying around ☺  Please check The Scrapbook Store for all of these supplies and lots more gorgeous products!!

I will see you back here next week as I'm off on a little holiday break - in the sun and with family ☺  Thanks for coming by ♥

Simple Stories - I (heart) Summer - The Scrapbook Store

Hey back again with another Friday share ☺  I've been busy with the fabulous collection I (heart) Summer by Simple Stories for The Scrapbook Store.
Here's another page I've just created:
I just love these pictures I took of my boys eating an ice-cream - it's not a posed photo and I just love how they are pretty much focused on their ice-cream ☺
I've used a selection of the pattern papers, a Sn@p pocket, some of the layered stickers and also a few of the word stickers - all from this wonderful collection.  Here are some close-up's:

Here are some of the layered stickers - they are so cute!!
Here is one of the smaller Sn@p pckets which I've embellished with a layered sticker and a flair badge from this collection.
For the title I've used my Silhouette - it was a bit of an 'oh snap' moment.  The 'today' stamp on the photo is from Everyday Words - Technique Tuesday Stamps.
For this top section of my page, I've cut out some of the pattern paper 12x12 Porch Rules and created a bunting style design.  I've embellished with some buttons from my stash and also some of the stickers from the 12x12 Expressions Cardstock Stickers.

A lot of this collection has already sold out from the shop - but there are still some items left, so please check the store online to get yourself some of this fabulous collection ☺
