autumn days

Hello.  The end of the month is creeping up fast!!  I have one last LO to share using my July DT kit of Crate Paper - Story Teller collection from Handmade by Suzanne.  I have enjoyed this collection so very much ☺

For this LO I've used a cute photo of my littlest man - playing in the autumn leaves.  I really wanted to show the beautiful pattern papers in the collection , so I've layered a few of them together and also included some of the strips which are along the bottom edge of the papers where the description is.  Using every last piece!!
Here are some close-up's:
... the fun wooden frames which are part of this collection.  I've used it to frame one of the tags and then added some black hemp twine ...
... the adorable pegs - they go so well with tags and making banners ... also popped in a Lil Red Rocket Spotty button ...
... another button and my journalling ... and  a fun little poem which reflects the day - walking to the park where there are plenty of autumn trees ...
... this little embellishment has been made by punching out a circle from pattern paper and then using an epoxy dot to cover it.  (these epoxy dots are also used for the bottle caps) - I'm loving the flair buttons that are coming in, so this is like a 'home-made' one ☺☺

and here is a collage of my creations of Crate Paper for July -

This Crate Paper - Story Teller collection is available at Handmade by Suzanne.   as well as many other gorgeous products.
Thanks for coming by and I hope you've been inspired ☺☺

the orange bus

hello - hope your week is going great.  still school holidays here, so we have been busy going out and having a good time.  But I've still been managing to find some time to create - mostly at night when it's all quiet ☺
So I have another LO to share using my DT kit of Crate Paper - Story Teller collection from Handmade by Suzanne!!
I've really enjoyed working with this collection - love the colours and different patterns in the paper ... oh and all the tags - I think I've used every last one ....
Here's my LO:
My boys travel by bus to school every day - about 40 mins each way.  I've always wanted to record the morning routines ... etc ... and thoughts about it all.  So this picture is of them hopping onto the bus one morning.
My background has some texture paste with a CW template and also some misting - this mist is 'Custard' from Studio Calico.
Here are some close-up's:
... making good use of strips of pattern papers, buttons, stickers from the alphabet sticker sheet and some washi tape from my own stash ...
... an array of tags - each embellished with buttons, twine, tape and stickers ...
... my journalling is hidden behind this bottom tag (you can just see the tab peeking out) - I've documented the morning routine and some thoughts about going to school on the bus - something for my boys to read when they are older and looking back thru their albums ...

I've also created this easel card (inspiration from fellow DT member Belinda Spencer)  These cards are so cute and easy to make - the front of my card measures 4 x 4 inches square!!  Of course, I've added in a tag and also some very cute hearts made by my 'retro' Carl punch!!
The word 'celebrate' used stickers from Sassafrass!

This Crate Paper collection is available at Handmade by Suzanne - plus plenty more gorgeous products too, which can be at your doorstep before you know it - amazing service!!  Don't forget about the monthly sketch challenge - a random winner is chosen for a $40.00 voucher for the shop ♥

I have one more LO to share with you all, showcasing this fun and fabulous collection - so I will be back another day with that one ☺☺
Thanks for all your comments - I LOVE reading them!!  We are off camping tomorrow for the weekend - so excited about this little family get-away - making the most of school holidays because it's all back to normal routines again next week!
Til next time - hope you are crafting wherever you are ☺

love & laughter

Another LO to share using my DT kit of Crate Paper - Story Teller collection from
I've gone for a more soft and subtle look ... and girlie too - it helps I have some great pictures to work with - this one is of my neice ☺

Once again I've used some of the tags on the 12x12 pattern cardstock and also made a banner, cutting out lots of little flags ☺
I've also used texture paste and mist in the background with some of my doily stencils. It compliments the cream pattern base paper.
Here are some close-up's:
... a side view of the little flags ... I've also used the circle stickers from the alphabet sticker sheet for my title ...
... and this gorgeous wood-grain frame - there are three in the pack in different sizes - also the Story Teller collection ... I've added in flowers and some little butterflies by Kaisercraft which I've covered in pattern paper and added in pearls ...

Of course, all of these goodies can be found at Handmade by Suzanne!!
Thanks for coming by ☺

my little helper

This month, for Handmade by Suzanne, I will be working with Crate Paper - Story Teller collection ☺  What a joy to create with - it's colourful and has lots of fun patterns, tags, buttons and little pegs.
Here is my first LO using my DT kit:
Some pictures of my little man helping me doing some baking ☺All of the products used here are from the Story Teller collection (except for the stamps) Here are some close-up's:
... I just love tags - in this collection there is a whole 12x12 page of tags which you can cut out.  Once again, I've used the Tim Holtz mini rosette die and added in a sticker to the centre - I've also cut out some little flags to add at the bottom of the rosette ...
... sticker letters outlined in chocolate pen and cute wooden pegs perfect for the tags - all from this collection ...
... another rosette topped with a wooden button from the button pack ... also some more stickers ...

For the rest, I've added in some background stamping for texture and interest - some of the word stamps are from Prima and the texture stamps from Kasiercraft.

School holidays is upon us now - so nice to have it relaxed and 'out' of routine ☺  I still hope to fit in some scrap booking - my boys have already attacked my craft room and messed it all up - must be my turn now.
Thanks for coming by and happy crafting ☺
