Kyle's Tulips

A few months back, each family at school received two tulip bulbs as part of their LOTE (Language other than English) studies. Our school is learning dutch as their second language! So we had to plant the bulbs, care for them and then take photo's when they flowered, to be displayed at school. One of Kyle's tulips flowered this week and with yesterday's gorgeous sunshine, I took some photo's while the flower was open. So pretty!!
Next week, the whole school hopes to go to Nannup to see the tulips, which I'm sure will look beautiful.

Blog Award!!!

Wow, an award for my blog. I got a nice email from Keesh to say she had nominated my blog for this award. Thank you so much Keesh!! A nice surprise.

If you have not seen Makeesha's blog at Stamp your art out, then you just have to see it. Her work is amazing, she is constantly updating her blog with new idea's and card samples, not to mention that she is my inspiring upline and wonderful friend.
The idea of this award is that I also nominate five blogs that inspire me. This is hard as I read so many different blogs, some Stampin'Up & Scrapbooking, others from friends who inspire me with their journey thru life. They are all just wonderful.

Update on house renovations!

Here's my effort for today - some homebaked goodies for the boys to enjoy!! I love cooking in my new oven.
And here's a picture of the flooring. The Living area and Kitchen are now done. It looks so nice, more so in real life. The picture does not do it justice, but you get the idea. It's created a very 'warm looking' area and I'm really happy with the end result.

Renovation pictures

I have some photo's to share of the progress of our home renovations. Most painting has been completed and yesterday our beautiful kitchen was installed. Just need to finish off with glass splashback and timber flooring.

So click on the link to have a look.

I'm so happy with how my kitchen looks and will certainly enjoy the extra space, my new oven and the light fresh look. Thanks to hubby who designed and made it all - it's more than wonderful!!

I've been tagged....

I've been tagged by Makeesha (also another in the past few weeks), so I've decided to play along with the fun. Though, I won't be tagging seven others. All my favourite blogs and friends are linked to my blog, so be sure to check them out very soon.

So seven facts about me:

* I have three gorgeous boys, with baby #4 due in August.

* We've decided not to find out the gender of this little one, even though most people do that these days.

* My natural colour hair is dark brown, but I once had blonde streaks and then went crazy with the blonding spritz til it all went blonde. I kept it like that for a while but then decided it looked horrible, so I dyed it black and since then have remained dark.

* Speaking of hair, I have two brothers and two sisters and am the only one with dark hair!! Three have 'strawberry blonde' hair and the other blonde.

* I just loving camping holidays with my family. We are looking forward to one at the end of this year.

* I'm getting a brand new kitchen, thanks to my darling hubby, as well as new flooring and freshly painted walls.

* Since having a blog, I've made some wonderful cyber friends, been keeping in touch with people who have become great friends, am constantly inspired by crafty blogs and am enjoying my time with Stampin'Up.

So there you have it; not very exciting, but it's me!!
