mini album - little friends

Hello there.
I've had a bit of creative fun making a mini album for a series of photo's that I took on a recent camping trip.   I've put together a little album made from one sheet of 12x12 paper - here is a link to a blog post which explains how the mini album is put together ☺

This is the front cover!  I've used some pattern paper from Cre8tiv which you can find at KMart ☺  Embellishments and stickers are Heidi Swapp and other bits in my stash.

Here is the album folded out to reveal each page of the album!

I think it's turned out rather sweet.  I've included lots of little words and expressions, the date and some hand-written journal work.
I know my little man will love looking at this ♥

art journal

Hello everyone - today I'm sharing another part of my art journal - I'm following along with the Art Journal == Tangents & Tactics over at daisy yellow.  And I'm just loving it ♥♥
Each week, there is a prompt, including video's to watch and be inspired by.  No #3 is to create an accordion album from manilla folders.  You can find the details at yellow daisy.

So here's what I've come up with:

I've used a Better Homes + Gardens magazine and cut out lots of little pictures that 'spoke' to me, of all things that I love!!  It's all about pink, tea & crochet - some of my favs at the moment ☺

I've used an art medium to collage all the pictures on each little page - this also created a great 'workable' surface for other mediums I wanted to use.

Each page is like a 'mini scrapbook' page - paper + embellishments.
I used quite a bit of Heidi Swapp products = paper & sticker words.

Both sides of the accordion album are filled!!

Some area's around each picture have been accented with watercolour crayons - I've drawn in with the crayon and then added water to my finger to blend in the colours.  By using an art medium in the background, it allows for blending in of colour.  I love this effect and it's so simple to achieve.

I love my new stamp set that I got this week ====== HELLO - it's called a click and stamp set - you can click the stamps together to make a word, then simply stamp away.  I found this one at Viva Books ☺

Check out the Yellow Daisy blog if you want to join in - there's heaps of inspiration to get you all 'arty' and 'creative'

a little bush family

Hey everyone, popping in to share another creation that I've done with my DT kit for April from The Scrapbook Store - this one is a bit special: the photo's, the people and the project ☺  I have my lovely sister to thank for the gorgeous photos I could use - Aimee Claire Photography!
And the beautiful people are my brother with his wife and gorgeous kids!!
I've created a mini album with the file folders from the Hello My Name Is collection by Teresa Collins.  I've done one of these before and they are fun!!!  When I received the folders in my kit, I just knew I had to make another one.

So here it is - I've made a little slide-show video - hope you enjoy it ☺
You can watch the video HERE.

Product used:

twine
script stamp
Canvas flower - Prima Marketing
Heidi Swapp Colour Shine - Tinsel

Well that brings us to the end of April already.  This is sadly my last post for The Scrapbook Store as a Design Team member as I will be finishing up as of the end of this month.  It's been (nearly) two years and it's been amazing - truly a wonderful team to be a part of.  I have loved working with fabulous kits each month and hope I have inspired you all with my scrapbooking style.
So this does not mean I will stop scrapbooking - it simply means I won't have any DT commitments for now - I still hope to continue with my craft and share what I love and do.
Maybe I can join in with some challenges around the place .........
And I'd love to focus a bit more on my Project Life ..........
And having a bit of extra time will allow me to spend more time with the important people in my life: my family ♥
A big thank you to my readers for your lovely comments ♥♥

Simple Stories - I (heart) Summer - The Scrapbook Store

Hey everyone - I have an 'end of week share' for The Scrapbook Store.  I've been creating with the wonderful collection - I (heart) Summer by Simple Stories.  I say this about a lot of collections - but this one is AMAZING in so many ways.
Today I have a treat for you and am sharing how I've incorporated a mini album and a Sn@p pocket all on the one page!
Here is my page:
My base cardstock is the 12x12 pattern paper that is shown at the top of this collection in the store (unfortunately it's sold out!) - it's has a great banner scene already printed on the page and a great wood grain look.
I've teamed this paper up with one of the Sn@p pockets - this one is the large pocket!
And I've created a mini album to go inside the pocket ☺  I will first share some close-up's of the main page:
These gorgeous flair badges are from the I (heart) Summer collection - I think I've already used nearly all of them!! ☺
I've used some of the stickers from the Expressions Cardstock Stickers and outlined in black pen.  I've also used a large punch - an old favourite - Martha Stewart Daisy Fan.
Here is a view of the pocket with the mini album inside.
And the front cover of the mini album:  I've decorated with some of the pattern papers, a flair badge, layered sticker, alphabet stickers,  the Hello Script Die-cut, flair badge and some twine!
Here I've given you a quick tutorial on how I made my mini album - all that is required is a 12x12 sheet of white cardstock!
And here is the inside of the album - each of the sections has been decorated with photo's pattern papers, stickers and a flair badge. A lot of the papers are from the Sn@p cards - a little booklet of pattern papers and quotes!  I've kept it quite flat so the album does not get too bulky as it has to fit inside the pocket.
Here are some close-up's: of each section:

Each section folds into each other and finishes as a 14 cm square mini album - a very quick and easy project if you want to use lots of photo's from one event and keep it to one page!  I hope you enjoyed this and possibly feel inspired to make your own ☺

All of these products can be found online at The Scrapbook Store - pop over and take a look ☺

Mini album for The Scrapbook Store

I've been busy creating this week, making this cute mini album, using Teresa Collins products - part of my Design Team Kit for The Scrapbook Store.  I love how it's turned out - I took so many pictures so I decided to make a slide-show to share each page and give you a closer looks at the many layers ☺
I've used the File Folders as the base of my album - stitching it together with my sewing machine - this is part of the He Said She Said collection - then I've teamed it up with papers and embellishments from the same collection as well as a few bits from my stash.

You can view the slide show HERE!

You can check out lots of Teresa Collins products in The Scrapbook Store!  Thanks for coming by ☺

december journal

i'm a little excited about sharing this next project - it's something I wanted to do last year, but it didn't eventuate ..... so after a little scurry about, gathering some supplies and goodies, I've started!!  I've called it my december journal.

... i've used all supplies from my stash and chose to use the October Afternoon line of papers - I have a few paper pads around and thought this would be a great way to use them up.  So whilst it won't entirely focus on Christmas, it will have little bits added in between.  It will also be about the events that have happened in this festive month and other little happenings along the way...
... so here are the first few pages ...

... i've kept it really simple - just adding in a few embellishments - once the whole album is completed, i'm thinking of going thru and adding some fun textures with stamps and paints ♥
... if you are doing a journal or december daily - leave me a comment as I would love to take a peak.
