Tickled Pink Stamps - sketch challenge #4

Here's a card I've made for the latest sketch challenge over at Tickled Pink Stamps.  The sketch is a circle one and it was fun to work with:

Here's my card:

The stamped image is Pearl Tidepool from Sweet November Stamps.  These mermaid series of stamps are so sweet and I'm so glad I finally got to use this one.  I was actually inspired by the wonderful Debbie when I saw her card for the Tickled Pink DT!!
I've coloured the image with Copics, then trimmed - I always leave some white - it's just a bit more forgiving!  I've also added some cute pearl flowers to the hair.
For the sketch, I've placed the circle element onto a square card which measures 13cm x 13cm..
Here's a closer look at the detail:

Pattern papers are from Basic Grey - Olivia Papers
Happy wishes sentiment is the Amy Rysavy Big words & Handy additions
I've used a pearl brad to tie the ribbon together.

Head over to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to check out how you can play along - they have an amazing prize of a $50.00 voucher for the store - how exciting is that!
Thanks for coming by.

Friday Sketch from Amy

It's been a little while since Amy from Prairie Paper & Ink has posted a sketch - but she has one for this week and you can check out the details here

Here's the card I came up with:
I've used this cute image - it's Sparkle Thistleweed - one of the Sweet November Stamps from CC Designs.  First time I've inked this one up - she is rather sweet!
I've used a white card base in a standard card size.  The pattern paper is from Basic Grey - Lemonade - these 6x6 pattern paper pads are just great for card-making.  I'm getting quite a collection.
I've coloured the image with my Copic markers - I've used the Colourless blender on her hair and I love the way it's finished up.  She has a bit of sparkle on her wings.  I've poped up the image on a paper lace doiley.
I've added some ribbon, a 'happy birthday' sentiment and some pearls to finish off.
Here's a closer look:
Thanks for the fun sketch Amy - I hope you come up with some more soon.
Thanks for poping by.
