happiness

Hello - just sharing a page that I created over the weekend at the Scrap Camp - it's a 'just because' page and it was great to create with 'no rules' attached.   I love how it's turned out.  And for a change ...... I've not gone with my usual banner style ☺

My youngest always gives me the brightest of smiles and they make the best photo's - I just love his face looking up at me here ☺
With the white background and subtle colours in the papers, the photo really pops off the page.  Once again, I've used chevrons - I love them!!!!
Here are some close-up's:

I've applied texture paste to the background with a chevron mask.  The chevron shapes are created using a photo corner punch.  I've then stitched some buttons to add some interest.
Some more chevrons and a chipboard word ' love' .
The papers are all assorted collections from my stash.  I've tied some twine around the photo and clustered a button and flowers.

Thanks for coming by to visit ☺

sweet love

Hello - first day of the month which means lots of new challenges are up ☺  I'm sharing my page for White with 1 today - November has a fantastic challenge and I'm sure you will all love this one:
White & Green & Chevrons
Here's what I've created:
I went with more of a 'mint green' - one of my favourite shades of green and chevrons are definitely one of my favourite trends at the moment ♥
I've used this sweet picture of my niece with her grandma - they have a special relationship - very loving and caring and I know Amber loves to spend lots of time with her ☺  So I hope she will love this page too!
Here are some close-up's:
... I've created the chevrons with my EK Sucess punch - photo corner and have layered them in rows across the page - I've also added in texture paste and misting to the background - have also been adding in sequins to my pages of late - love them and it's great using up little bits in my stash ☺
The title is from Basic Grey letters and I've stamped over with some brown ink and a stamp - the little words are also stamps from my Stampin'Up days ☺...
... more chevrons - the sticker words are by Heidi Swapp - Vintage Chic Buzz Words - this collection is beautiful...
... some string, muslin, flair button from Paper Stories, resin blossom and Prima flower ...

I hope you will find some time to enter this fantastic challenge - be sure to head over to the blog at White with 1 to view all the details and also be inspired by the creations of the Creative Team.  There is also a Creative Team call-out - if you would love to join an amazing team, why not apply - see the blog for details - you have till the 13th November to apply - all the best.
Thanks for coming by and happy crafting for November ☺

four wheeler adventures

I've been enjoying some of the Basic Grey challenges of late - it's great to be able to use some of the hoards of papers that I have in my stash!!
For this challenge you need to include a chevron design in your LO or card.  So this is what I've come up with and wow - it was so much fun ♥♥
Apart from the pictures, I haven't added too much to the overall design - really wanted the chevron design to stand out too ☺
Here are some close-up's:
... details of the pattern - I've used the June bug collection ... and I've also added in a BG bloomer ...
... a hand-made paper flower with the scallop punch ... and a stamped frame onto the BG pattern paper - the frame and the background stamping has all been done using a Basic Grey stamp set ...

I think I'll keep this design in mind - it's fun to try some new things.  Thanks Basic Grey ♥
