July promotion for Stampin'Up

During July, spend $50.00 AUD and get a colour family of Watercolour Wonder Crayons or Watercolour Pencils for 25% off.

Watercolouring on stamped images is alot of fun and through-out my blog samples, I've shown how this is done by using Crayons or Pencils. Simply colour in an image with Crayons or Pencils and blend in with Aqua Painter or Blender Pen. Very versatile and by using SU crayons or pencils you can co-ordinate perfectly with SU cardstock and stamp pads.
Please contact me for more information regarding this great special.

Tyson & Liam

Today I took Tyson & Liam down to the beach so they could ride their bikes along the beach cycle path. I knew it was going to rain later on in the day, so while the sun was shining, we got out of the house into the fresh air. Liam insisted on wearing these snow goggles!! Funny boy; he actually wore them all day. They were happy to pose for some photo's; check out Liam putting his arm around Tyson. So cute. They have the best times together; always happy and having fun.
Every now and then we weigh the boys. They always think it's kind of cool to hop on the scales. So tonight they had another weigh in and guess what...... they both weighed in at 18.8 kg. And this is not the first time their weight has been identical. Well they are indentical twins; but it's still amazing.

New header

I've been wanting to make my own header for some time now...... so today I gave it a go. I only have the most basic photo editing program, so it didn't allow for much creativity. I've simply made a collage of photo's and then the title goes over the pictures. I'm happy with it; so let me know what you think!!!!

More from Blossoms Abound

I just love this stamp set, so I've made another two cards. This time I've stamped the VersaMark stamp pad over the blossom and embossed with clear embossing powder. On one of the cards, I've highlighted it with glitter. I've used Sarah DP which I love so very much. Using the mat pack, I've done some faux stitching around one card and outlined with marker pen.
The word sentiments are from Warm Words and I've rounded off the edge of the cardstock with the circle punch, by feeding the cardstock thru the punch.

Stamp sets: Script BG, Blossoms Abound, Warm words
Cardstock: Whisper White, Almost Amethyst, Vintage Violet, Sarah DP
Ink: Almost Amethyst, Vintage Violet, Certain Celetry
Accessories: Ribbon, Hodgepodge hardware, Paper piercing, Circle punch

Blossoms Abound

Just been doing up some card samples with a new stamp set called Blossoms Abound. Had to have this stamp set; the blossom is just beautiful. I love my BG stamps as well so I've used a few different ones on these cards: Script, Print Pattern & Fine Lace. Seeing as we are well into Winter time and the weather is cold and rainy at the moment; I thought some flowery, spring looking cards are just what I needed to make. Not many flowers in my garden at the moment, so I will brighten up my card room with these creations.

Speaking of the weather, we have finally had a decent amount of rain here in the SouthWest of Australia. After a long dry spell, we certainly do need lots more rain. In between the showers yesterday, we managed to have a big clean up around our yard and finish off some garden beds. It looks really neat and tidy, ready for new plants. I've got a little spot for a vegie garden which I hope to finish off soon. This is going to be something for me and the boys to work on. Kyle especially, is very keen to have a vegie garden to look after. So we will post some photo's when it's all done.

A dedication to my mum

I though I would share with you the poem I wrote for my mum on her 50th birthday:

A holiday in Bali, lots of fun
Good company, food and sun
Family all gathered here
To celebrate a birthday, for my mum so dear.
Fifty years of many good times
and doesn't she look so very fine.
A supercool nana and a wonderful mum
There's lots of lovin' to be done.
She loves to wash and vacuum clean
scrubing floors til they glisten and glean
Then it's time for a coffee and off to the shop
There the fun will never stop
Back home, in the garden to roam
Until it's time for darling Tom to come home
A cup of coffee and then a glass of wine
Then together they will dine.
My oh my, life is so fine
At fifty you're having a good time.
So we are all glad to share your special day
And hope you sure enjoy it in every way.
We pray that God may bless you
in the years ahead, in all you do.
So we give you all our love, hugs and kisses
from me all my love and best wishes.
Lots of hugs from the two terroists
Lovin' you they do the best
From Kyle, a big smile will always come your way
giving you hugs every day
And from Warren a shove into the pool
but he does think you are cool.

* The two terroists refer to Tyson & Liam - some how that became their nickname on holidays.
* Warren threw my mum in the pool just before we were going to have dinner one night; so I wanted to include that bit as a memory.

Back from Bali

Well we are back from our Bali holiday, very relaxed and refreshed after having the best time together. Here are just some of the photo's (I took about 300)
We spent lots of time at the resort, just relaxing and letting the boys enjoy themselves in the pool. The Dynasty is just a wonderful place to stay with a family; very kid friendly with a great pool including a kiddie slide.

The boys got used to their surroundings and the Balinese people very quickly. They enjoyed going out on the street looking at the shops and giving 'hi fives' to the Balinese. It was certainly a great experience for them to be in a different country and to see how the Balinese live and go about their daily life.

Going to the elephant park was a highlight of our holiday. Tyson & Liam really enjoyed the experience. They even got to sit on the elephant's neck with the elephant tamer.

Kuta Beach at sunset.

The above photo is of me, my two sisters and mum, on the night of my mum's 50th birthday. We had such a great time at a very special place, 'KuDeTa'. The food was awesome and the setting was beautiful. It was a night we will all remember.
So after two weeks of being very lazy, going out for dinner, shopping and all of the other wonderful things we enjoyed; it's time to get back to reality and settle back into normal routines again. We will certainly cherish this wonderful family holiday we could have. It was a great time and we have many memories. It was great to be able to share it with our family and friends. Thanks to everyone for your wonderful company!!
