the view thru my 50mm fixed lens

Hello there and a happy Monday to you!  Just sharing a few pictures from around my home - it's been a whole month since my last post for this segment ............. life is busy ☺  It's important to have a good balance and allow for some quiet, 'slow' time.  That's why I love doing this!!  Capturing little bits thru the lens ☺

I love sage - I think of potato and leek soup ................ I've just recently planted this batch.

I have a love for succulents ............... we have quite a collection going in our garden - some also from my boys that we've collected.  Quite often we get them from markets as tiny small plants.
The days are cool, so there's plenty of time spent indoors where it's nice and warm.  My little one loves to keep busy ........................
I've been teaching him how to crochet ................ he's actually a very good student and picking it up very quickly.  This will keep those little hands busy.

Another month will soon be upon us ................. July is school holiday time which we are all looking forward to.  I'm sure I'll be capturing lots during that time.
Til next time, thanks for coming by ♥

the view thru my 50mm fixed lens

Hello, hope you are having a lovely weekend.  Winter is just around the corner; I thought I'd share some last Autumn pictures before we change to another season.
My zygocactus is flowering wonderfully!  It's my favourite plant at this time of year - the flowers are just stunning and so perfectly formed.  They don't flower for very long, but I get to see these out my kitchen window everyday, so I'm making the most of this delight!

A few weeks ago, I planted some garlic bulbs.  They have sprouted nicely, so I hope they continue growing well.  They are loving this Autumn sunshine.

The cool mornings and nights have definitely set in - this is our backyard with some 'fresh' wood, ready to be cut for our fire.

Cool mornings and nights but beautiful blue skies during the day - it's beautiful.  Autumn is a lovely season ♥

the view thru my 50mm fixed lens

Hello and a happy weekend to you all ☺
This past week has been gorgeous.  Stunning blue skies and warmish sunny days.  Autumn has been lovely.
It's in this season we have a tree in our backyard, that is covered with white flowers - I often spend time just watching the bees.  They are fascinating and I'm amazed at how busy they are, all day!
My veggie garden is loving the sun and so is our cat!
And the oldest son is still busy making stuff out of wood, even some fun things for my craft room .................... unique washi tape holders - I ♥ them.

Lots of rain is coming our way, so I'm thinking it might be a cozy weekend for indoors.
Have a great one ♥♥

the view thru my 50mm fixed lens

Hello - hope your week is going well ☺  This past weekend was a long weekend in West Australia, due to Anzac day - we made the most of this opportunity and went camping out in the bush near Nannup.  It was just beautiful - the scenery and the camping!
There is nothing quite like being out there in nature and taking the time to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.
I had a bit of fun, snapping away and capturing little bits of our adventures ☺

Thanks for visiting ☺

the view thru my 50mm fixed lens

The school holidays have been and gone.  They ended with some glorious, sunny days, which we really enjoyed.  I grabbed my camera on a few of those days and captured what was happening around our home ....................

These gorgeous flowers are prettying up a little part of my garden!

My little one just loved being at home and playing.  His constant chatter and imagination ........ he simply makes me smile and I love his energy.

There was more bike activity ------ some were painted a fresh coat of bright colour ☺  These are the boys bikes they like to take camping!

Not quite in my own yard, but very close by ........................ I couldn't resist snapping away at this beauty in contrast with the blue sky.

My oldest with his newly acquired 'toy' - he's so proud and happy.  Our elderly neighbour happened to have a wood lathe which he was happy to sell off.  So the rest is history ...........  we now have it and the boy is very enthusiastic about making all kinds of wood creations ☺

The littlest lad has been learning a new skill - throwing the ball thru the basketball hoop.  Was cute to see him in action.
I'm pretty sure, some of these pics will be making it to my scrapbook pages .............
Thanks for coming by ♥

the view thru my 50mm fixed lens

Hello there!  It's been a little while since I've done this segment.  Last one was late last year.  I'm hoping I can take it up again.  I love picking up my DSLR and capturing what is happening around my home.  It's a great way to appreciate the little things and make note of 'stuff'.

It's the start of first term school break, the kids are home and it's very much like Autumn around here.  Our front yard puts on a lovely display and a big mess too ☺

As soon as the rains start, this little man is out there with his bike and rain jacket, riding thru the puddles.

My veggie garden is still producing, even though the days are cooler.  I'm getting some decent sized capsicums and the chillies just keep coming.

I'm even getting a new batch of strawberries ☺
We lit our wood fire today, so the wood bucket is loaded up and ready for cool nights and fresh mornings.  I just love the coziness a wood fire brings!
With the boys all home, there's a bit of 'allsorts' happening.  They are always up to something, including bike fixing.
And the oldest is busy rolling brochures - a small part-time job that's keeping him occupied.

In a few days, we hope to go camping, so I plan on taking more pics with my 'real' camera; hopefully some good ones that will make it to my scrapbook page.

Thanks for coming by ♥
