stuff 2 scrap inspiration

check out the Stuff 2 Scrap blog - I'll be sharing, over the next week, creative inspiration using some of the wonderful chipboard they supply:

.... and here's my craft space after a few sessions of creating ... bit messier than previous pictures.  And as this picture is from a few days ago, the papers have now spread to over my laptop!!
I'm trying to get idea's for the wall space in the corner - I'm thinking of going with some peg board and then a shelf for baskets and jars.  That's my next little project for the room and also hanging up some pictures and inspiration boards.

Thanks for coming by and have a wonderful weekend.

The 1st of June and it's officially Winter - and the sun is still shining here on this side of the country - but we've had rain which has been great.
So the beginning of the month means a new challenge at Stuff 2 Scrap - I'm hosting and I've set a very fun challenge which you can read all about on the blog.

The challenge is to use the following three colours on your LO (make these the dominant colours) – of course you can still use your neutrals.
Lime Green

Ballet Blue
Also we would love you to include FIVE buttons and of course chipboard!!

I've used this picture that I had taken on Mothers Day - love how the boys are all looking so nicely at the camera.

I've got a little arty and used a shipping tag to make this little creation - lots of collage, rub-on's, a sweet little felt bird and button flower.
A chipboard mini bubble tree - with a few embellishments - button flower and rhinestones.
A chipboard arrow - I love covering the more solid peices of chipboard with pattern papers and a few other bits like rub-ons and sticker letters.
A cluster of embellishments!

stuff 2 scrap - may challenge

The May Challenge is up at Stuff 2 Scrap - this month it's all about 'mothers' which coincides nicely with Mothers Day! You can head to the blog to view all the details - you will have til 31st May to link up your creations and be in the running for a pack of chipboard.
For my LO, I chose this old photo of me (when I was 2) with my dear mum!!
And I chose to work with the beautiful collection of papers from Cosmo Cricket - circa 1934 - I have a few of these papers and this was the first time I got to use them.  They worked perfectly with the B&W picture.
Here are some close-up's of the details:
One of the journalling blocks - I've embellished it with a bottle-cap, button, dress-makers paper and pattern paper.
One of the rosette flowers that I'm just LOVING at the moment - thanks to my very generous and kind friend Leeann who is lending me the rosette die!!
Here I've covered a chipboard heart in pattern paper and inked up the edges - then added in a paper rose.
And a chipboard board which I've just stamped with black ink and a pattern stamp from my stash!

And of course I've added in lots of other little goodies too - some of which you will be seeing in my Etsy shop very soon.  I'll be back later with some more sneak previews.

Thanks for coming by and we look forward to seeing your creations for this challenge!
