... another LO!

I have another scrapbook LO to share!!  Had lots of fun with this one and used some new goodies too.
Having me in the picture with Caden allows me to add some 'girly' touches to my LO's - I always enjoy adding flowers and pretty things!
I've used papers from October Afternoon and Webster's pages.
Here's a closer look at the details:

Hand-made flowers by me: lace flower ruffle from my shop and a rolled fabric flower with pearl cluster centre.  Red button from the Chip-Chop shop!
A little journalling - not quite as neat as I would have liked - could not locate my nice writing pen!!
A red doily with button to the centre.
Another red doily with a vintage collage embellishment.
I've used American Crafts Thickers for the title.
And lastly, but certainly not least:  this gorgeous tassle lace trim is a new treasure I've found on my op-shop outings - I've added some to my Etsy store!

Thanks for coming by.

Mad for Markers - ATC make and swap challenge

Today I have a cute little ATC (artist trading card) to show you - I'm guest over at Mad for Markers and Sammi's challenge is a 'make and swap ATC'.  You can find all the details at the Mad for Markers blog!
Here's my ATC:

I've used Tilda by Magnolia Stamps - i've stamped the image in Memento Rich Cocoa and then coloured with Copics!
The base card is Kraft and the pattern paper is from October Afternoon - Thrift Shop.
For the embellishments I've used some blue roses, red pearls and tassle ribbon from Tickled Pink Stamps.
Then I've finished it off with a 'thanks' sentiment and used the SU window punch.
Here's a closer look:
I hope I've inspired you to join in with this fun challenge and I look forward to checking them out over at Mad for Markers.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #52

Hello to the Magnolia lovers out there - we have a sweet challenge for this week - you are going to enjoy this one.  The theme is: SOMETHING SWEET!
Here's my creation for the challenge:
For my card I've used 'Oops Tilda' (Yummy for your Tummy range) - she's baking up some sweet cupcakes!
I've used Kraft and Melon Mambo cardstocks, then added some pattern paper by Basic Grey as the background - I love this cupcake paper and felt it suited this challenge just right.
I've coloured Tilda with Copics and then cut out, also mounting onto some pink cardstock, then cutting out again.
I've added some ribbon, paper lace doily and a row of rhinestones along the bottom.  The paper is really busy, so I haven't added many embellishments for a change.
Here's a closer look:
Check out the Magnolia Down Under blog for details and also more inspiration from the Design Team.
I hope you have fun with this one and I look forward to seeing lots of sweet creations.

Inkspirations Challenge #29

Yay for Fridays, it's the end of the week and there's a new challenge over at Inkspirations!
Today we have this fabulous sketch and the wonderful Cindy from Canada is hosting.  She's also added a twist to the challenge - you need to include something from your stash that you've been hoarding for a while!
And here's my creation based on the sketch:
This sweet image hadn't seen any ink yet; she is August from the Honey range of stamps by CC Designs.  Very cute and fun to colour in with Copic Markers!
The background paper is by October Afternoon - Thrift Shop - you will be seeing lots of this, the papers are just gorgeous.
For the main image, I've coloured in and then also created the floorboards with my Copic Markers - I was inspired by Keesh's tutorial from last week.  I've cut this out then placed some patterned paper by Pink Paislee behind so as to create a wall-paper effect.  I've punched out circles from the red cardstock to create the scallop edge around the circle.
For something from my stash:  I have to admit that I have baskets and even more baskets of ribbon and lace - so I reached into one and found some pretty lace that needed some love.  I think it's perfect for this card!  The rub-on sentiment is also something I found hidden away.
Lastly, I made a paper flower from some of the pattern paper and SU puches, finished off with a brad.
Here's a closer look at the details:

I hope I've inspired you all to playing along for this week - you will need to link up your card over at Cindy's blog so we can all see what you've created.  I'm looking forward to checking them out, as it's my turn to pick some winners and a guest designer for the following week.

Tickled Pink Stamps Guest card

Today I have a card to show you - it's another Lil Lolita for the Lil Lolita Boutique Challenges - the latest challenge is:  NO DESIGNER PAPERS; MAKE YOUR OWN.
And here's my card:

I've used Lil Lolita - Ivy - and you can find her right here at Tickled Pink Stamps
I've gone with Old Olive, Barely Banana, Kraft and White for this card -  not colours I would usually use together, but I think they work well together - I tend not to choose too many colours for the one project - usually two main colours and the one or two complimentary colours - for the background paper I've used Fifth Ave Floral and stamped up the large rose image in the green and yellow ink.
I've also made a circle from Banana cardstock, then added the En Francais BG stamp.  There's lots of sponging around the edges of all the cardstocks.
The cute Ivy image has been coloured with Copics and I've used stickles and glitter to add a bit of shine to her dress.
For the embellishments, I've used:
* wide lace from my stash
* pearl spray and leaf - Bizzy Becs - i love these pearl sprays and have just ordered a whole heap more.
* the crochet flower was from a dear friend and I've added a Basic Grey brad to the centre
* a circle sentiment and some rhinestones.
Here's a closer look at the details:

This challenge was a bit of fun and I've really enjoyed working with these quirky images from Kellie.
I hope you are inspired to join in with this challenge - just pop over to the Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge blog to see how you can join in and also check out the amazing cards from the Design Team.
Thanks for coming by.

What's on your work desk Wednesday

Here's a bit of fun - what's on your work desk wednesday?  My craft room changes quite regularly and I know I've shared views of this space before, so I thought I'd update it.

My desk space is usually covered in mess like this - it means I'm constantly creating - well as much as my family allows me - the great thing is that I can close the door and get back to it whenever I can.

Even though my desk space is messy, I still like my room to be organised so I can find things easily - I love using craft boxes and baskets to store goodies in.  This is my newest piece of furniture - an open shelf which sits on the wall behind my desk - the shallow shelves means that things don't get lost and it's all very accessible.  For now, I store my stamps in clear boxes; each stamp company has it's own storage space - for now this works well.
The pin-up board above my computer has my calendar and favourite pictures/cards.

And I have another smaller board/shelf area which displays my many creations - it's getting to the stage where I need to be sorting them out and packaging them away.

I'll save some more for next time - thanks for coming by.

Scrapbooking...... 'moments'.

My scrapbook hiatus has come to an end - it feels like forever that I created a scrapbook layout.  However long it was; it was too long.  I whipped up this page yesterday with some new goodies that I've collected recently.

This picture of my four boys goes back to the end of April - it was one of those moments that called for a photo!
I'm loving using Kraft cardstock as my base - I've added papers from October Afternoon - fly a kite and thrift shop.
I have used a Wild Card from the October Afternoon range, doily trim and patchwork doily flower from my Etsy store, pom-pom rope from Lil Red Rocket and some cute buttons from the Chip-Chop Shop.
Both of these Etsy stores are full of yummy products!
The red chipboard letters are Thickers by American Crafts.
Here's a closer look:
...... we do not remember days, we remember moments......

Thanks for coming by, I hope to back back with some more scrapbooking inspiration soon.

Inkspirations Challenge #28

Hello again - it's Friday and it's Inkspiration Challenge time.  Makeesha has come up with some very different colours for this week - I hope you have fun with them:
Here's my little creation:

I just got one of these cute stamps from Baby Bud Designs - this one is baby Jack - they are so cute! You can find these stamps at Tickled Pink Stamps!  So I've coloured him up with Copic markers.
My base card is white and then I've layered some Choc Chip pattern paper and Elegant Eggplant.
I've been seeing Sarah-Jane's fabulous cards using the faux suede effect and have been wanting to try it out for myself.  So I did just that - I think it really suits this boy card.  It's a fun technique and I'm quite happy with my first attempt.  And the amazing thing is that it really does feel and look like suede - so cool.
I've added a sentiment using the Amy Rysavy stamps from All That Scraps, some doily trim and buttons to complete the card.
Here's a closer look at the details:

I hope I've inspired you to play along - pop over to Makeesha's website to view all the details of how to join in and be sure to link your card there.  Just by joining in, you could be next weeks guest designer!

Treasured Finds #3

It's time for another update of Treasured Finds.  I had a bit of op-shop fun yesterday and came up with all these treasures:

First up; some dutch delft blue beer mugs - the real thing, hand-painted - I couldn't let them go at $2.00 each!

Next up some candle holders - I think these are so sweet - they are matching and look hand-painted, but there's no markings as to where they are from.  Another bargain.
Some more tea-spoons to add to our collection - the boys collect tea-spoons from all round Australia - we already have quite a fascinating collection with lots of different stories to tell.

And lastly, some doilies and pieces of fabric - more cutting out and more flower making!  I even found two doily cusions - just need to find some cushion inserts.
Thanks for coming by.

Lil Lolita Boutique challenge #2

The Lil Lolita Boutique has it's second challenge up and running.  I've made a card as guest designer.
Kellie gave us an inspiration picture to work with - isn't this cake so beautiful.  I was inspired by the swirls, roses and pretty colours.

And here is my card:

I've used Lilith for this card - I think she looks so shy!
I've coloured her with Copics, then used my oval cutters to cut out and also create a mat.
I've added some little flowers with a glittery brad to her hair.
For the embellishments, I've added lace, a pearl flourish, some fabric roses hand-made by me, some smaller white flowers from the Pretties Kit (SU) and a Martha Stewart butterfly punch-out.
Here's a closer look at the details:

If you'd love to join in, head over the the Lil Lolita Boutique blog to view all the details.  There's plenty more gorgeous inspiration from the Design Team members too.  Thanks for poping by.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #50

Good morning all, it's Magnolia Down Under Challenge #50 - WOW.  We have a fun and easy one for this week - SWIRLY SWIRLS - you will enjoy this one.
I've made a collage wall-hanging with Tilda - Live your life with Grace!
I have lots of thin MDF boards that my hubby cut for me once - this is an 8x8" size and makes up a great wall-hanging. They make great gifts, but also cute little keep-sakes for your own craft room.
This one will be staying in my craft room, because I had so much fun making it.

This Tilda is from the FairyTale range which you can purchase from Tickled Pink stamps as well as many other gorgeous products.
The pattern papers are from MME - Bloom and Grow and this decided on my colours of oranges/greens.
In the background I've added a vintage story book page.
The embellishments include:
* calico flower sprayed with glimmer-mist made by me
* pearl sprays, flower and leaves from Bizzy Becs
* chipboard swirls - sprayed with glimmer-mist and made into a heart shape
* Martha Stewart punch butterflies
* pearls and rhinestones
* self-adhesive foam black letters
* lace trim and paper doilies
I've printed out the title onto vellum and then adhered onto the layout.
I've included lots of pictures so you get to view the details - there's so much texture and it looks even better in real life.

I hope you  join in with this challenge - there are two prizes you can play for - you can check out the details at the MDUC blog and be sure to visit the Design Team and see their amazing work.
Have a beautiful day.
