Tuesday's cards - Sell-A-Bration!

Finally, I've found some time to sit down and make my first cards for the year. I've used one of
my free stamp sets which is part of the Sell-abrations promotion. (Spend $100 in Stampin'Up products and receive a FREE stamp set)
Still feeling tired from moving etc so they are rather simple cards but still effective.

Stamps: So very Punny, Simple Stripes (background), Sweet Spot
Cardstock: Taken with Teal, Rose red, Regal rose, Confetti white
Ink: Taken with Teal, Basic black, Regal rose
Accessories: Brads, Ribbon

Scalloped circle has been created using a scallop edged scissors. Today, I saw in my local craft shop a giant punch of a Scallop Oval, which I've ordered. That would make it a bit easier as it is quite hard to line up.
Stamped images have been coloured in with the Stampin'Pastels.

Tyson & Liam's 5th birthday

We celebrated the boys birthday on Saturday night (the day before their birthday) with a dinner for family and friends who had come down to Busselton. Was a great night; the boys got so spoilt with presents, hugs and kisses. It was wonderful to have so many people around to help celebrate. Thanks to those who came and hope you all enjoyed yourself!

This last weekend, the weather has been so warm. Even today, its very humid. Last night after church, we packed up some dinner and headed off to the beach for a few hours with Craig & Renae. It was so beautiful, the water was like glass. The kids had alot of fun swimming and playing cricket. Tyson & Liam even enjoyed some of their chocolate birthday cake on the beach.

We are definately loving it here in Busselton. It's wonderful to have the beach so close by, especially with this hot weather. Tommorow it's been two weeks since we arrived. This week will be busy, getting back into routine for school but the kids are looking forward to starting a new school year. Warren has been busy at work already, setting up the workshop. And at the end of the week, we get to go back up to Perth for Ben & Katie's engagement party and catch up with family and friends again. So it's all working out just great. We thank God for blessing our dreams and plans and making all things go well.

Sleeping peacefully

After lunch today, we went to Renae's for a visit. We took the boys bikes so we could take them to Stilt's playground by the beach, so they could ride their bikes on the paths for a while. And we ended up staying quite a while too. The weather was gorgeous and it was nice and relaxing sitting up on the hill overlooking the playground, having some drinks and watching the kiddies play. Could get used to this very quickly!!!

The boys are loving it here. We just need to teach them a bit more about riding their bikes on the roads, when going to and from the park. It's all so new for them, they think it's okay to ride off ahead from mum and not take too much notice of cars around them. I'm sure they will learn better soon.

So the boys were very tired tonight and fell asleep early. I couldn't resist taking a picture of them looking very peaceful. Note the Australian flags on their beds. They are getting ready for Australia Day (26th Jan) It's always nice to look at them sleeping. If only they were that quiet all the time, but then we would miss out on all the fun. My babies are nearly five. The days and years go by so quickly so every moment should be cherished. God bless their little souls.

We made it.......

After a very busy week of packing all our belongings and loading up trailers and trucks, we have made it to Busselton, our new home. It was very exciting to be able to walk into our very own home on Tuesday, 16th January. This week has been a very busy one for us all, unpacking and setting up house to make it feel like our own home. Now sitting here this Saturday night, it feels great to have most of our things unpacked and set up. (though I still haven't put Warren's clothes in the cupboard) Thanks to all those who helped us along the way, especially to Craig (my brother) who drove the truck for us!! Thanks mate.

The boys have settled in well. There's lots of room for them to ride their bikes so that's what they have been doing the most. We have been to the beach for a swim and they have been riding their bikes along the beach path. They think it's all rather exciting and try to fit as much as possible into one day. Today, Tyson and Liam were asking when we were going back to our old home. They think we are on holidays here. Once school starts, they will get to understand that this is our home.

Next week we have family and friends coming down to Busso which we are all looking forward to. On Sunday 28th it's Tyson & Liam's 5th birthday, so it will be nice for them to have family and friends to help celebrate.

I hope to post some photo's soon of some happy faces enjoying Busselton and their new home. We feel very blessed and are thankful for our wonderful new home.

Our new house

This is a picture of our new house. If all goes well, we should be there next week Tuesday. We are all very excited about moving into our own home. The boys can't wait, especially Kyle who is looking forward to having a vegie garden, walking to the beach and playing in the park just around the corner.

14 days of holiday bliss ....

Dinner time for Tyson & Liam,
camping style.
If you've got to go, you've got to go. And next to dad is a great place!!

Tyson & Liam really enjoyed this holiday. They had a ball and couldn't get enough of the sand and water. It will be a holiday they remember!

Warren taking time out to paddle to the reef.
(Don't you miss all this fun Ben & Katie)

It's not 4-wheel driving unless you get bogged,
hey Craig. Was fun to watch!!

Hot weather calls for lots of water play and fun on the beach. Some of the days we have over 40 degrees. The boys would spend all day playing in the water.

Back from holidays

Hello to you all in this new year. We have just got back from a two week holiday in Port Gregory, 'bout seven hours drive north from Perth. We had the most wonderful and relaxing holiday with family and friends. The boys were really good and had lots of fun swimming, playing on the beach and riding their bikes. The weather was awesome with the first few days being over 40 degrees. Very hot and great for the beach. We didn't catch many fish but heaps of crayfish. Yummy!! Good food, good wine and good company made for a very memorable holiday. Thanks to those who shared with us!!!!

Now we have about ten days before we make our big move to Busselton. So the next week will be very busy with packing all our possessions and getting ready to move away. I am really excited about the whole move and going to a new place. But it will be a week of mixed emotions as I am leaving so many wonderful family and friends behind. We will surely miss them all very much. And so we leave with the promise of keeping in touch and to try very hard to come up to Perth regularly. We hope to have many visitors down in Busselton to see us and our new home as well.
