one today - scrap the girls

Hello!!  I'm sneaking in one last scrapbook challenge before the month is out.  I loved the look of this sketch from Scrap the Girls so I played along ☺

Here's my take on the sketch:

My little niece turned ONE last week and I captured her eating her cupcake - she loved it ♥  I've dug into my stash and use assorted supplies.  The journal cards are from our local Reject Shop - they are coming up with beautiful paper craft supplies ☺  I've used some Prima flowers and used paint to create the watercolour background.
Here are a few close-up's:
Here I've layered some journal cards and then added my title with sticker letters and Kaisercraft diecut word 'today'.
These cute script letters are also from the Reject Shop - I always love wood veneer.

Well I'm off to link this up this page!!  Have a great day ♥

Bus No 64 - White with 1 Scrapbooking challenge

Hello there, hope your week is going well.  Just a couple more days and we are at school holidays.  YAY.  I can't wait.
This past week, I got to have a 'scrappy' day with a friend and created a few pages.
I'm sharing this one for the White with 1 challenge:

antique moss
I love this cute photo of my youngest waiting at the bus stop and I decided that I really wanted to record that moment.  I'm sure that one day he will love to look back and know the small details ☺
I've used some bit from the Heidi Swapp collections as well as some colour shine.
Here are a few close-up's:
These are some die-cut numbers from Heidi Swapp which I've just sprayed with the 'Citron' Colour Shine.  I love the embossed dots!

The wood veneer has been coloured in with 'Molotow' marker pen in grasshopper green.  I couldn't resist adding in this button from my stash - perfect for this page.

Thanks for popping in ♥

hello adventure - kraft + challenge

Hello there!!  I've put together this page for the challenge at Kraft + - they have some pretty cool challenges.  September is:
Here's what I've come up with:
These are some recent photo's from a hike I went on with my oldest son - something that I really wanted to document about.
I've used bits from the 'Journey' collection by Crate paper - perfect for these photo's.
Here is a closer look:
I've gone into my stash of Hambly and used some of the pattern sheets for the triangle elements of the sketch.  I've also used a stamp with Versa Mark ink to create some 'watermark' triangles in the background.
The wood veneers and accents from this collection were fun to add to the page.

Loved putting this page together.
Thanks for looking ♥

spring - sassy scrappers challenge

Hello to you all! Today I'm sharing a page that I've created for the challenge at Sassy Scrappers - It's a sketch and word challenge --- I always love a nice sketch ☺

Here's what I've come up with:
Pretty in Pink - I have a photo of one of my favourite spring time flowers - the kalanchoe - these flowers really do brighten up a space and last for a few months.
I've included the word 'spring' on my photo when I did the editing and printing out of the picture.
I've dug into my stash for goodies to suit the page and I love how it's turned  out!
Here are a few close-up's:
Some stencil work with Rose Colour Shine by Heidi Swapp.
I've used enamel dots, buttons and flairs for the circle elements of the sketch.
The 'hello' die-cut is from Kaisercraft.  I've made a couple of faux flair to co-ordinate with the pretty pattern paper.

Thanks for coming to look ♥

chunky knit crochet blanket

Hello, it's a week later and I've just finished up this blanket that I previously blogged about.
It's turned out super chunky and is a cozy addition for my sons bed ☺

I really love the texture in this blanket - it's a simple double crochet, but I've alternated between the front loop and back loop, every ten stitches.
I've already started a new crochet project - from one blanket to the next ........ I'll be sharing that one soon.
Thanks for coming by ♥

scrap the boys - september challenge

Hello and welcome to September and also ...... Spring, on this side of the world!
I'm sharing my take on the Scrap the Boys challenge - for this month we have a sketch to work with; and it's super fun!!

 Here's my page!
I've turned the sketch to one side, so I could use a landscape photo.
I've used this fun pic of all my lads, which I just love.
I'm using the Kaisercraft collection - Chase Rainbows.
The little 6x6 pads are always nice to work with - fun size - and they come with assorted tags pre-cut.
Here are some close-up's:

I was going thru my stash and found this chipboard tree which I thought matched in nicely with the photo and papers.  So I have added some colour and a few buttons and embellishments.
The title 'outdoors' is also a chipboard piece - I've used a white pen to colour and inked the edges with espresso ink!
I love using mini pegs to give it a 'banner feel'.
This collection comes with a nice stamp set with some lovely sentiments, so I've used these on the page too - 'be happy, be bright' and 'shine bright'.

Pop over the blog to see more inspiration and also check out the two fabulous prizes up for grabs.  Hope you can play along ☺
