wonder

hello, hope you are having a great week ☺  School has started up again and so we are back into normal routines.  I have a LO to share today for the White with 1 challenge: White & Grey & Tags/Tabs.
Tags are my favourite 'thing' to add to LO's at the moment.
Here's what I've come up with:
This is a picture of my oldest boy - I was trying to get a picture of him, but he didn't want to look :(  but I do like this side profile of him ☺  This photo was taken with my Samsung Galaxy II and I've edited it in Instagram ♥♥ - very impressed with the way it printed out.
So I've used MME once again!!  The background paper is from the Miss Caroline collection.
I've done a fair bit of misting and some gesso effects - here are close-up's:
... one of the tags - I've dry brushed it with some light grey paint, then added some mist and then did some gesso work with my new vintage doily mask from Pink Paislee ♥♥ - love the effect.
... the second tag I've also painted with light grey paint, then misted using clay mist and the CW template - have added in some embellishments to dress up the tag and also some background stamping with Basic Grey ink by Stampin' Up ...
... the title uses American Craft natural chipboard letters which I've painted grey... also some journalling from my typewriter (I'll have to share a picture one of these days - it's so cute) ...

Really enjoyed putting this one together - I know I've done this kind of design with the buntings quite a bit lately .... but I LOVE it.

Thanks for coming by and your awesome comments.

everyday

hello, I've managed to get another challenge done.  This one came together so quickly and easily.  Helps when working with great papers ☺  This LO is for the Basic Grey sketch which you can see here!!
I've used a picture of my youngest (who always seems to be stealing the show in my pages lately) and I only took this picture yesterday!! Nothing like scrapping the present.
So I've used papers from the Picadilly Collection along with some of their stickers and also the fabric bloomers.
Here's some close-up's:
... a kite made from pattern paper with a stitched brad to the centre ...
... BG sticker letters and a tree sticker embellishment ...
... some of the gorgeous fabric bloomers and type writer journalling ☺ ...

Here is the sketch!!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.  Enjoy every moment ♥

what do i love ....

Now for something a little different ...... I came across this challenge by the lovely Sandi - she is doing a fun little challenge: clip out things you love from a magazine and compile it together!!  I had a copy of Peppermint and found some lovely pictures which I've used to create this LO:

The pictures do take up most of the paper space, so I've only added in a few simple embellishments and some journalling.  Here are some close-up's:
I've used Basic Grey papers from the Kissing Booth collection - they really suit the feel of this LO!!  I've cut out some of the hearts to make a bunting ... and added in twine of course.
I've also used some of the flower cut-out's from the same collection and layered them together.  Can you also spot a Kraft tag peaking out from behind??  and some washi tape??
Journalling from my typewriter and I've machine stitched all the way around the page.

This was fun to put together.  If you want to join along, check out Sandi's blog.
Thanks for coming by ☺

good catch ...

Back again with another LO!!  The challenge at Scrap the Boys for April is all about recycling - I really enjoy using cool bits from packaging and the like, that I've collected.  I've had this denim tag from some clothing sitting on my desk for quite a while, so it was a great opportunity to use it!!  Here's what I've created:

I had these photo's of Liam and his fish - he really wanted me to make a page for this fun time that he had.  My boys always love it when I make pages about them ☺
Once again, I've used papers from My Minds Eye.
Here are some close-up's:
... a little Maya Road wooden ruler and wooden button from Prima ... and some washi tape from Sawyers Place - I've used a strip on the shipping tag ... more journalling from my vintage typewriter ♥

... a shipping tag with the journalling and also the recycled denim clothing tag ...

Another page done ☺ Thanks for coming by.

you make me so very happy

It's been a little quiet here ☺ - we've been enjoying time with family and school holidays.  I've had 'little bits' of time to scrap in between going out and enjoying the sunshine.  The April challenge at Scrap for Help is buttons.
Here is what I've created:

I've used My Minds Eye papers once again - this is my most favourite collection ☺  For the button challenge I decided to make a bunting - most buttons are from the My Minds Eye collection. Here are some close-up's:
... each button has been hand-stitched to form the bunting line ...
 ... lots of co-ordinating chipboard embellishments ...
... some journalling using my vintage typewriter which I purchased on Ebay!! ...

Another fun way to use buttons and also make a bunting.  I hope to be back soon ☺ Thanks for coming by.

tea party

Welcome to April - the start of cooler weather, falling leaves and school holidays ☺
I have my LO to share for ARTastic.  A few things have changed recently with the challenges, so make sure you pop over to the blog to check it out.  It's all good fun!!
As well as the inspiration picture, your LO needs to be themed around FOOD.
This is what I've come up with:
These photo's are from my sister recent kitchen tea and they were perfect to use for this challenge.  It was also a good excuse to make a pretty LO with flowers.
So I had fun with misting, gesso, pretty flowers and glittery letters ☺
So here are some close-up's:
... Prima flowers, Prima mask with misting, AC Thickers ...
... handmade bird button, Kaisercraft bloomers, twine, Kaisercraft pattern papers (Hummingbird) ...
... and here is the inspiration picture!!
We hope you can join us in this challenge - it's a fun and easy one and there are lots of fabulous prizes too.
Enjoy the rest of your week - we've finally had some much needed rain and it's a lovely change. Thanks for coming by!!
