precious

I've created this LO using one of the Stuck?! Sketches for this month.  It's taken me so long to join in with these sketch challenges, but I finally did and had fun with this one.
For a change, I've used a 5x7" photo, which nicely fills the page too!  And once again, it's of my youngest on our last camping trip!
I've used some of the Core'dinations - Core Impressions cardstock in the background - which has some lovely embossed textures.
There's a shipping tag, old dictionary papers, rub-on's, chipboard etc - here are some close-up's:

a small shipping tag with a ticket and owl bottlecap embellishment.  I've also added a rub-on frame to the photo.
a chipboard owl embellished with buttons, crochet flower and shipping tag.
Jillibean chipboard lettering in burlap, journalling and rub-on's.

Here's what I've used:
Papers: Core-dinations cardstock, old dictionary papers, plain cardstock, Crate paper
Accessories: Owl Bottle-top, shipping tags, crochet flower, buttons, rub-on's, chipboard owl (Stuff 2 Scrap), misting, Jillebean lettering, doily ribbon (Basic Grey), twine

So I'm just sneaking this one in, but I really hope to keep playing along with these sketch as they are a great starting point to a LO!  So thanks Stuck?! sketches.

A big thank you for the many WOW's and lovely comments in my last post - I appreciate your thoughts and nice words - it was certainly great to see them poping up on my post!
And a big hello to my newest followers too!

Thanks for coming by and hope you are all finding some crafting time!

a fishin' good time

I just love this picture of one of my boys - he's in his element - FISHING!  Because I love it so much, I've done a bit of a repetition, printing it out three times and then also enlarging it onto vellum paper.  Love this effect, especially with the vintage bookprint coming thru from underneath.
There's also stamping and rub-on's happening in the background too.

I've used it for the challenge over at Once Upon a....... Sketch.
Here are some close-up's:
my journalling - the requirement was for at least four sentences explaining why the photo is memorable.  I've printed it out and then inked the edges.
a decorated shipping tag with vintage bookprint doily, mini beach-hut chipboard and a canvas tag.
and a larger chipboard beach hut - they are just so cute with the fine details.

Here is the sketch to follow with this challenge:
Here's what I've used:
Papers:White cardstock, Cosmo Cricket
Accessories:  Chipboard, crochet flower, stamps, ink, rub-on's, Crate paper collections buttons, Fimo embellishments, vintage bookprint doily, shipping tag, canvas tag - Kaisercraft, American Craft lettering

Hope you've enjoyed this one - it was a great sketch to work with and I'm loving these challenges that include journalling.  Thanks for coming by.

create art

Happy Monday - hope you've all had a great weekend.  I managed to squeeze in some 'scrappin' time which is always a good thing.
This LO is for the 123 Challenge - use brown, include the word create and use tape - decorative/masking.
I've smeared some white paint with scumble gel onto the base cardstock to add just a little something to the background.
....... strips of pattern paper, decorative tape and a shipping tag........
Here are some close-up's:
yep, another crochet flower - chocolate and cream with a brad to the centre.
Shipping tag - stamped background, doily trip, vintage bookprint doily and journalling.
The vintage bookprint doilies are listed in my etsy shop - I have large and mini ones.
A corrugated frame over the photo and a Maya Road wooden button.
Buttons from Crate Paper collections, decorative tape, rub-on's and American craft letter stickers.

And I've finished off the page with some random lines of stitching from my sewing machine.

..... some of my favourites at the moment - dressing up shipping tags, using texture stamps by Kaisercrafts, rub-on's, crochet flowers and paper doilies.......

Here's what I've used:
Paper: Brown cardstock, lined notebook paper, kraft cardstock
Accessories: shipping tag, crochet flower, corrugated frame, Maya Road buttons, Crate Paper button collections, decorative tape, American Craft letter stickers, stitching, lace trims & vintage doilies, computer journalling, rub-on's, twine.

wonder

Love capturing moments like these - don't you wonder what's going thru their little minds.  These are some pictures of my friends little girl when we spent a day at the beach together a few months back.
They tied in nicely with the palette from The Colour Room this week.
I've used some orange cardstock as my base and just a small piece of Sassafrass.  Lots of stamping going on to make up some background patterns........ and of course clusters of embellishments, mostly handmade.
Here are some close-up's:

a crochet flower (love making these, so I think you will be seeing one of nearly every LO)
birdie button from the Chip-Chop Shop
a doily and a stamped frame onto pattern paper
a hand-made flower using pattern papers and punches, attached to a little carnival ticket
chipboard letter 'wonder' and some journalling
a butterfly punch-out, mini doily and paper rose

Here's the palette for your inspiration too:

Hope you are having a great day - we've finally had some Winter rains over this side of Australia which has been nice.  Now the sun is shining for a bit, so I think I'll take a walk with my little one and get some fresh air.
Thanks for coming by and happy crafting.

Here's what I've used:
Papers: Orange cardstock, Sassafrass
Accessories: doilies (Creative Bits), birdie button (Chip-Chop Shop), chipboard work, stamps for BG by Kaisercraft, crochet flower, paper rose, carnival ticket, rub-on, MS butterfly punch

solitude

Here's a little more inspiration for the current June Challenge over at Stuff 2 Scrap!  This picture worked well with the colours .
Here's some close-up's:
A piece of chipboard from Stuff 2 Scrap - I've painted it with blue paint, then used a Kaisercraft Stamp and white ink to add some swirls.  I've added in my buttons with a cluser of flowers, including a crochet flower that I just love making at the moment.
The title is some letters from a die-cut - I've used some pattern paper from Echo Park and have simple outlined the letters with a black pen.
My journalling and lots of little bits - hand-stitching, a doily, stamping (I found a bunch of Kaisercraft stamps that are great to use as background to add some texture)

We hope you can find some time to join in with our challenge - head over to the blog to view the details and be in the running for some fabulous chipboard!
