hello to you all - the school holidays are going well and we are super relaxed. It has been keeping me away from here though .................
Today, I wanted to share what I'm creating with the crochet hook. If you've been following me, you will know that I did a fair bit of crochet last year and shared some of it here. I hope to do the same in 2015.
So with a new year, I felt like starting a new project (even if I may have a few on the go already) I really wanted something 'summery' and bright!
So I dug out a pattern I had printed out some time ago, checked out my stash of yarn and topped up on a few extra colours and away I went ☺
I'm using some lovely cotton/acrylic yarn in 4ply - Moda Vera Gelato from Spotlight - the colours are super cute! I'm using this pattern which I got from HERE!
The only change I've made is in the 2nd round - I've done an extra 'yarn over' for the puff stitch - just to make it stand out a little more. I've kept to one colour for each sunburst and using white to join on.
I'm going to have to make a lot of these little circles ☺ It will be good for when i only have small amounts of time - I can quickly whip up a circle! And it's a great project for taking on my travels which I've already done a few times this Summer.
I'm using the 'join as you go' method to join each square. And I've decided to just do a random pattern with the colours - it's kind of nice to not worry about which colour will come next.
I'm just loving how this is coming along......
I'll be sure to share this project as it continues to grow ♥

It's looking really wonderful! And the thing about crochet is you can do it in little chunks....can't wait to see it finished:):)
I wish I could crochet.. I used to.. I guess I could pick it up again!! Love how your project is coming along!
This looks amazing so far. It reminds me of the blankets my grandmother made and I love the random colors.
Oh I am loving this. Uh oh, may have to take up crocheting!!
