Stayed tuned -
Over the next few days a new challenge will be going up at Stuff 2 Scrap which I'm hosting - I know you are going to love this one - the design team have made some awesome samples to inspire you. I'll maybe give you a sneak peak tommorow!!! In the meantime, you have a short amount of time to join in with our current challenge which you can find here.
I'll also be revealing which Design Team I'm going to be a part of from June 1st as well as my LO for their next challenge. My Etsy Shop - Creative Bits will be sponsoring this challenge, so I hope you will join in.
Lots of fun things happening here - thanks for coming by and as always, I really appreciate those who look at my work and leave lovely coments.

he loves to play
Caden loves to play........ at the park, especially when it's bright and sunny and there are little friends to join in!! I used these pictures for the sketch over at Once Upon A....... Sketch - the added requirement for journalling to be typed journalling at least 1-2 sentences. And what a fabulous and fun sketch.
Here are some close-up's:
a heart bunting from pattern paper and little buttons dotted around the page.
this very cute chipboard balloon - i've just sponged the edges, keeping it raw so you can see the details.
the journalling over a Maya Road transparency and a lovely teal coloured prima flower.
And here is that wonderful sketch if you want to join in........ though time is slipping away and I'm only just scraping thru myself.

saturday is a fun day
The other day I had a nice scrappin day with a friend and got this LO's completed for the 123 Challenge - the criteria is: colour Red, include the word fun and have stitching on the title.
So I had this picture of my boys in their soccer uniforms and it fit the challenge perfectly.
Have used some bold patterns in red from Cosmo Cricket and Echo Park - love these papers.
Lots of sponging along the edges and fun little embellishments.
Here's some close-up's:
i've used some American Craft Thickers in RED and added in stitching along some of the edges.
a chipboard arrow from Stuff 2 Scrap - covered in pattern paper, a bunting with twine, stamped tag, Maya Road transparency and a kraft journalling card.....
a little layered paper flower with brad and my journalling!
What a fun little challenge!
Thanks for coming by.

she is very thankful
Colour Combos Galore has a nice soft palette this week - perfect for those feminine pages, so that's just what I did. It's not often that i do a LO with my own portrait - but I'm wanting to include more of these and my thoughts for my boys - I'm sure they will love reading about stuff later on in life!
So I've added in lots of pretty bits - pattern papers, flowers, doilies and texture.
Here are some close-up's:
lots of little details - rub-on's, girly vintage button, doily, scrip stamp, decoupage vintage book print background........
a rosette flower with a paper rose, more rub-on's......
a pretty crochet pink flower, layering of photo's.......
Here is the #193 inspiration board:
Loved putting this one together and getting a bit arty with textures, paint and other bits. Lots of fun!!
Thanks for coming by and all those lovely comments - love reading them.

Some more scrappin' with Sassafrass! I've used their monthly challenge on the Sassafrass blog and a cute birthday picture of my neice Amber. I love their sketches - they have a blocking style - great if you like clean lines.
It is quite busy with all the different patterns but I love it - I've defined the edges a little more with some sponging in Espresso ink.
Here's some close-up's:
paper hearts using pattern paper and a heart punch.
i've been making assorted crochet flowers and this is one of them - i'm sure you will be seeing lots more in my LO's as I've mastered some cute flowers (finally)
and a bunting with pattern paper and buttons sewn onto the little flags!
Here's the sketch if you would like to join in too!
That's it from me today - I have a scrapping day planned for tommorow and a few more challenges that I would like to get done before the end of the month; so I'm sure I will be back soon.
Happy scrappin!!

playtime
Photo's at the park are always fun to take and fun to scrap - they generally involved bright, fun colours. I've used the May Sketch at Handmade by Suzanne - most of the stuff you see here is Sassafrass - really love their lines of paper at the moment.
Here's some close-up's:
the cloud is by Dusty Attic - I've just covered it with pattern paper and sanded the edges. Also added in some small doilies and a pin from the Chip-Chop Shop!
chipboard flowers from Sassafrass and a chipboard picket fence from Scrapware.
I've added in some background stamping with some of my large background stamps!
And here's the sketch if you want to play along: (thanks for another great sketch Michelle - this was a great one to work with)
Have a happy weekend!
Here's some close-up's:
some paper whimsies - razzle dazzle - i've layered a few together and then also added in a crochet flower.

brothers
My oldest and youngest - they are such cool dudes together!!
I've used the Bliss Terrace Kit from The Polka Dot Place to put this page together as well as using the Sketch Challenge they have going right now!! A really fun sketch by Michelle Fowler - loved this one!!
Everything is from the kit except for the paper lace doily and some of the buttons.
Here are some close-up's:
I've made this ruffled flower from some of the pattern paper and my scallop punch, then added the crochet flower and brad.
a wooden butterfly - this is my favourite embellishment!
Jillibean lettering also from the kit.
and a little bunting from pattern paper and twine.
And here is the sketch if you want to play along - you have until the 21st May!!
Thanks for coming by and happy crafting.

enjoy
This was my scrappin' effort over the weekend - the challenge over at The Colour Room - love the soft palette of #58.
And these photo's are once again of my cute Caden - took these ones on the Easter weekend when we went driving thru the bush with friends. He is quietly in his own world, enjoying a bag of chips!
I've used pattern paper from Sassafrass and Websters.
I loved the stitching on the Sassafrass, so I've also added in my own cross-stitching along-side the photo's.
Here's some close-up's:
this beautiful acrylic birdcage is from Stuff 2 Scrap - I've sponged it in blue ink and also used the same colour Stampin'Up marker pen to add further colour. Love how it turned out!!

a cluster of embellies and American Craft lettering
and another banner - I really love making these - this one is from a heart punch, buttons and twine!
Seriously, this is one pretty page for a boy, don't you think?
This would have to be one of my favourite palettes - or maybe I just had the perfect photo's!!
Thanks for coming by.

a little update for Creative Bits
Here are a few more bits and pieces I've added into my Etsy Shop - Creative Bits.
*cute bottle caps with owl and bird images - each bottle cap is finished off with a resin drop sticker to make it shine!
* extra large buttons with vintage boys and girls - these are limited and I probably won't be stocking these again, as I had this fabric in my stash and it's just about done!
* heaps more doilies in natural cream/white/ecru
*and I'm working on some hand-made flowers at the moment, so you will hopefully get to see them soon
have a happy and crafty weekend - we are off to the kids soccer games and I hope to squeeze some scrappin time in too!

treasure
These two little boys were having so much fun playing together with ice in an esky - I got to snap this cute 'cheesy' picture of them!!
I've made this LO for the challenges they are running over at Aussie Scrap Source called Style Lounge. It's all about the design team and their different styles. This past week was about Kathie Link and her 'playful style' I hope I've done it justice!
I've used some cute pattern papers from Bella Blvd, love the bright fun colours.
Here's some close-up's:
The tree and owl sticker embellies are from my stash which I got from a local discount store who have great scrapbooking supplies. I've made some rolled flowers to add to the branches. I've snuck in a doily and heart pin.
Here I've made a heart banner, adding twine and buttons.
Another doily and some 'fussy' cutting from the pattern paper - these little trees are so cute.
And another of those gorgeous crochet flowers from Sam - I've added in a brad. You can also see a chipboard word 'treasure'.
The pattern background is some stamp with paint. I'm enjoying creating different textures and backgrounds on my base page first. I have a little scrappy share for you soon that will involve my process of doing this!!

going back a few days
going back a few days........... to Mothers Day. Each year I try and get a nice picture of me and my boys. This year, the boys picked a spot in the backyard and a time-limit - it wasn't allowed to take too long because they were playing with the football.
Anyway, we got a few good ones (thanks to hubby behind my camera). I don't usually show pictures here but decided to share these ones - because these are the little people in my life who keep me busy and on my toes each day. They drive me crazy sometimes and have endless energy and are pretty good at making things messy too. But........... you know....... we wouldn't have it any other way. I feel very blessed to be a mum to these four boys.
And this is one of the gifts that I received - a handmade bracelet from beads and buttons - just my kind of thing - LOVE IT!!
I hope all the mums had a wonderful and special day.

simple pleasures
I had a little scrappin time over the weekend and managed to do a LO for The Colour Room - I love the earthy tones that are on this weeks colour palette. It's #57!!
I used this cute picture of Caden running along the beach and repeated the same picture three times.
Pattern paper is by Sassafrass and I've added in some coloured cardstock too.
Here's some close-up's:
a doily (which I have heaps of in my shop at the moment - Creative Bits!!)
bottle cap with pattern paper and a cabochon
flower is also by Sassafrass
a little chipboard bird from 2Crafty - I've stamped over this in ink
a handmade tag and storybook card also found at Creative Bits from the Storybook Kit.

some more doily delights and also a cute crochet flower from Sam who is also selling her hand-made goodies. These little flowers are a great addition and you will be seeing lots more of them on my pages. For this page, I've poped it over a crochet doily and then added a button.
Love how this one all came together and I'll be back with more scrappy shares soon.
Thanks for coming by.
