australia day - white with 1 March challenge

Hi again - one lucky last post for March ☺
I'm sharing a page for White with 1 - the colour this month is Orange Peel.

I love this happy snap that I took on Australia Day this year and have used this as my starting point for the page.  It only has a tiny bit of orange in it, so the photo really stands out against the white background and orange embellishments.

I love going thru my stash to find treasures that I can use on my page - I've included fun embellishments, buttons and some letter stickers.  I've used a stamp set for my title and water coloured with orange paint!

I'm off to link this one up - have a wonderful weekend.  Til next time ♥

christmas day - 123 Challenge

Hello there, another page to share before the end of the month.  I'm playing along with the 123 Challenge - they have a recipe challenge as shown below:

I don't often use brown as a dominant colour so this was a nice challenge and also made me dig out some border punches ☺

I'm scrapbooking this photo of us girls - my mum and my sisters ♥  It was taken on Christmas Day - it's not a really Christmas type page but the photo really suited the theme, so I've gone with that!
I dug into my stash, finding all sorts of treasures to put on my page - even found a lovely hand-dyed doily ☺

I've used a border punch for this piece of cardstock.  The word 'fun' has been included in the stickers.
Here I've also made another border, this time with a border stamp.
I couldn't resist adding in some pops of colour to compliment the photo.

happy - Scrap the Girls March challenge

Hello and a happy Monday to you all.  We are already coming up to the end of March - time is just flying by ......
I have really loved getting back into my scrapbooking this month.  Today I'm sharing a page I did for the challenge at Scrap the Girls.  It's a 'selfie' challenge.

After a recent trip to the hairdresser, I took a shameless 'selfie' of my hairdresser curls ☺
I've used the Chasing Dreams collection by Maggie Holmes - it's so pretty and girly.

Most of my page is made up with the embellishments and stickers included in this collection.  I've done some of my favourite water colour in the background.
The tags and stickers had just the right sentiments on them and so I've used these 'bits' as my journal work.

With all the beautiful elements in this collection; this page came together nicely.

child of God - off the rails scrapbooking March challenge

Hello again ☺  Off the rails scrapbooking have this lovely mood board as their challenge for March along with the requirement of 'stitching'.

I'm playing along using this black + white photo of my youngest son!
A few things that inspired me from the Mood Board:
black + white image
colour
tags
sewing
twine basket
I've incorporated all of these things on my page.  The paper collection is 'Faith' by Simple Stories.
Here I've used some twine and done a few small cross stiches.  Using a tag punch, I've made a tag embellishment.
I've also added in some twine on the tag.
Here I've used my sewing machine to stitch onto the pattern paper.
I really love this collection from Simple Stories - there so many 'faith' elements you can add to your page with the stickers and embellishments.  I'm sure I'll be using it for another page soon ☺

albany adventure - stuck sketches

Hi there, back with another page to share.  Last week I managed to join in with a few challenges, so this week, I'll be posting them all ☺
I'm loving the sketches from Stuck Sketches - especially as they have multiple photo's.  This is great when scrapbooking a group of photo's with a similar theme.
This sketch is the March 1st sketch!

Lately I've been scrapbooking photo's from our Summer camping holiday!  I've printed off four photo's and have matted them with tags, frames and embellishments to represent the sketch.

These wonderful cork letters form part of the title.  I seem to do a lot of water colour in my background - it's a great way to add some colour without using paper and is always effective on the white base cardstock.
Another of my favourites is mini pegs!

A few more pictures scrapbooked. Win, win!!!
Thanks for a great sketch to play with Stuck Sketches.

hello - Artastic March challenge

Hey there, love the challenge over at Artastic this month!  The inspiration is the picture below and the criteria is Stencils ☺  How fun!

I'm playing along with another holiday snap.  I thought this picture worked very well with the 'arty' theme of the challenge.

I've picked out a few stencils in my stash and used them in different ways on my page - some with paint, some with pen and even a bit of thread.

With texture paste, I've used a diamond stencil and then added paint once dry.
Here is some more texture paint and also some pen work - the words are done using an alphabet stencil.
Using a faux stitching stencil, I've pierced the holes, then added the stitching with blue thread.

All the different stencils gives a very mixed media feel the page and it was fun to create!

whale world - stuck sketches Feb challenge

Hey there, just popping up one more page for the month of February.  I've used a sketch from Stuck Sketches for some holiday snaps ☺

I love that this sketch had the opportunity for more than one photo.  I've printed out a set of three to tell the story.
This paper from Pebbles Inc with little anchors was perfect for this page - I've teamed it with a few other papers in my stash.
I went thru my supplies and found complimenting embellishments.
I love this alpha stamp from Kellie Stamps - I've used some water colour paints to colour in.
I love adding layers and usually use some foam dots to create some extra height.
Banners are still a favourite of mine in the design - and I love using mini pegs.

I love how this page turned out and I think it really reflects my style of scrapbooking!
Thanks for a great sketch - Stuck Sketches ☺

love you - Jot FEB mood board challenge

Hello there!  I love the pinks and reds in this mood board for Jot Magazine - there's lots of fun elements to be inspired by.  I went with the flowers and colours and love theme ♥

I've used a photo from our wedding anniversary last year and changed it to black + white so it would work well with the colour theme.

I've used a mix of products from Pebbles Inc and Heidi Swapp.  The large numbers remind me of the 'light box look' in the mood board, so I've kept them white.   The 'love you' card has been coloured with some Colour Shine - Pink.

I've made lots of layers with the papers and added in stickers from Heidi Swapp.

I love how this page came together - such a fun challenge too!
