love the life you live

 Hello there creative people ☺
Even though the Your Creative Wings shop is closed for the time being, I just wanted to share this page I created using some of their chipboard.    I've used a piece of chipboard in a number of different ways.
This Sprig Flourish reminded me of rolling waves and I felt it suited a 'beachy' kind of page.
First up, I've used the piece as a mask with some colour spray mist.
Next, I've used the negative piece as a stencil.  With texture paste, I've added in dimension to the page.
And then I've used the actual piece as a main feature.  I've given it a water colour look and added in some script stamping.
I really love how it's come together.

Here's a close up of the flourish.
I've made some faux flairs with some of the chipboard and epoxy stickers.
These chipboard pieces are called Love Candy.
I've kept them raw because of the little words and fine line details - I've just placed an epoxy sticker over the top to create the flair.  A fun embellishment! ♥
And my title: Love the Life you Live - such a great line.
I've painted it white and added in script stamping.

photo tradition

Hello all, I hope your holiday season is going great.  We've just come back from a four week road trip across Australia - I'm sure you will be seeing lots of travel photo's popping up on my pages soon ☺
Today I'm sharing this festive page that I created for Your Creative Wings!
I received this great piece of chipboard in my pack: Jingle all the Way - and decided to use it for this fun page of my boys.  We try to do a picture every year of them together - it's becoming a bit of a tradition and I'm glad they still like to pose for me ☺

I've used my water colour paints - shading in with white, green and red, keeping to the more traditional colours.  Then I've added some red glitter to the baubles and some crystal glitter to parts of the wording.  It gives a nice sparkly to the page!
The small heart and arrow chipboard comes from the Been there done that Polaroid Frame set.

There's lots of lovely chipboard pieces in the shop for your Christmas pages!

fabulous fun - scrap the boys

Hello and welcome to 2016 - my very first post for the year.
This is my last share as DT member for Scrap the Boys - I've had such a wonderful time creating for these challenges over the past year.  Now it's time for a whole new team ☺

Here is the challenge for January - a mood board.  I hope you find this one fun!

Here's my take on the challenge:

I had this rather cute photo of my boy in a tree!  Inspired by the leaves, I've crocheted some leaves and have also added in some embossing on the green card.
Here are some close-up's:

I love including handmade embellishments to my pages - here I've found a simple crochet pattern on the web to add to my page.  Behind is some embossing to represent the bamboo in the mood board.

I've done the background in the mood board colours using my water colour technique with acetate.  And then I've also added in cork stars.

Pop over to the blog to view more inspiration from the Design Team and also see what prizes are up for grabs.

Thanks to Scrap the Boys for having me on the team.  It's been fun!!! ♥♥
