hello - your creative wings

Hello, there!   This is my first post for Your Creative Wings as a Creative Team member☺  I've been having a wonderful time playing with the chipboard and am sharing this page today.
I've used two pieces of chipboard for this page:
Feathers on a stick and a Doily
I love a banner style design, so the feather chipboard was perfect.  The chipboard was cut in two so I could place a piece on each side of the photo.  I've stamped onto the chipboard with versa-mark ink and a doily stamp, then painted over with a DecoArt sealer.

To make the doily a little feature on the page, I've punched out a circle in pattern paper and added it to the chipboard.  Then I've made a faux flair by punching out a smaller circle from pattern paper and added a clear raised sticker.
Here's a closer look at the feathers with the stamping.  The sealer I've used has is crystal glitter by DecoArt and gives a nice shiny finish to the chipboard.

Pop over to the Your Creative Wings shop online and view all the fabulous chipboard.

I have another page to share very soon.
Thanks for popping by ♥

Hello ☺  The mid-month reveal is on at Scrap the Boys and my page has been shared on the blog.  This month, we have a mood board.  These are becoming quite popular and allow for lots of interpretation.  Lots of fun too!!

This is my page as inspiration for the challenge.  I chose a photo that reflected some of the mood board ; being in nature, wood grain and water.
Most of the products used on this page are from the Amy Tangerine - Finders Keepers collection found at my local Spotlight store ☺
Here are a few close-up's:

I love my water colour backgrounds.  I've kept the colours soft enough to just blend in with the photo.
I love all the fun stickers included in this collection.  Make it easy to create a page!

I've added two wood veneer leafy embellishments - they tied in nicely with the wood theme.
I hope you will get the chance to play along this month.  Pop over to the blog to see the two fabulous prizes you could win by creating a page!

hello there - the scrapbook store sketch challenge

Hello, hope your week is going well.  I'm playing along with the sketch challenge from The Scrapbook Store - this is the last sketch challenge they will have - I'm going to miss these fabulous sketches each month!

Here's my take on the sketch:
The sketch allows for lots of different textures which I love.  I've used some texture past with a new Kaisercraft stencil.  For the brick feature, I've cut from some pattern paper.  The circle element has been drawn in with a black pen.
I've used some colourful papers from Echo Park and embellishments by Crate Paper.
Here are a couple of close-up's:

This stencil is one by Kaisercraft - one of the 12x12 which has four stencils included on the one sheet.

I love how this page came together ♥

a beautiful moment

Hello.  The school holidays are officially over.  Three of my boys went back today and my youngest goes back tomorrow.  One last term for this year ...... seems like it just went by in a blink!!
I'm sure you will see lots of holidays pic popping up in my pages.  In the meantime, here is a 'just because' page.
I LOVE this picture of my dad and my youngest lad.  Its very heartwarming and I'm glad to have captured a special moment between them.

I've used lots of Heidi Swapp goodies.  I have a container full of bits and pieces, including papers and embellishments.  I love diving into my stash and seeing what I can create.
Here are a few close-up's:
I've been doing lots of these watercolour backgrounds lately.  They are fun and easy to do.  The wood veneer is from Pink Fresh - super cute.
The wood veneer word 'beautiful' is from our local Reject Shop - they are getting lots of nice scrapbooking supplies.  The overlay on the photo is another nice product from the same shop ☺

Last month I managed to create a few pages for some challenges and I'm hoping to squeeze in a few this month too.

crochet blanket project

Hello there.  I'm working on a fun crochet project at the moment.  It involves using up my stash of yarn and crocheting up a bundle of blankets.  I'm planning to donate them to a charity organization for new mums. ☺
So I already have these two.  Both use the granny stitch - one in a stripe design and the other in a chevron design.  These both came together quite quickly.
Now I'm onto my third using different shades of pink with white.  This one is a basic shell stitch and will take a little longer.  I'm doing ten rows in each colour to create wide stripes.
I love how this one is going .......................
I can't wait to see a pretty bundle of handmade crochet blankets - I will keep you updated on my progress ♥
