soccer 2012

Hello ☺  Hope your weekend was great!!  I'm just sharing one more page using Little Sport - Fancy Pants from my Design Team kit from The Scrapbook Store.
And this page is all about soccer!!  It coincides nicely with today because it was grand final day for my oldest boy - they just missed out winning, but came runner up and won the league cup for the season.  So it was an exciting day ☺
I've used a picture of my three boys in their soccer outfits for this year.  It's been a great season☺
Here are some close-up's:
... creating chevrons with a punch using some of the pattern papers ... word sticker from the Element & Alpha sticker sheet ...  the title is AC thickers which I've painted green to match in with the papers ...

... some of my background texture work - misting, texture paste and star punch-out's ...
... banners from the die-cut banner sheet ...

As you can see, Little Sport from Fancy Pants is a wonderful collection - lots of great patterns in the papers and fun embellishments.  I hope you've been inspired ☺
Don't forget - the whole collection can be viewed at The Scrapbook Store.

its just abc

Just sharing a page I did for the Once Upon a ..... Sketch challenge - this month they have four challenges and have joined up with Colour Stories Inspiration ☺  This LO is for Challenge #2:

The colour scheme caught my eye straight away - I love it and I had some papers in my collection that matched wonderfully.  Most of the papers are from Authentique - Celebrate collection.   I've also added in some touches of Hambly.  And I love this recent photo of my boys - along with the journalling, it reflect the stage in life we are at with them. Here are some close-up's:
... my title ties in with the journalling A - adventurous B - busy C - colourful - have used American Thickers for the abc and the little letters are from Fancy Pants - Little Sport collection ... there are some circles in the background as part of the evidence.
... mini rosette - Tim Holtz die - my all time favourite ☺ - the black doily is a wooden flourish which I inked with black ink and then stamped with white ink using a pattern stamp ...
... some of the background texture and also a Hambly label - part of the evidence ...
... another mini rosette and label ... my journalling is spread out over the page as part of the testimony ...

So there you have it - case solved and a sketch completed - fun challenge - I especially love these colours together.  Thanks for coming by and hello to my newest followers ☺

precious little people

Hello - hope you are having a happy weekend ☺  Totally gorgeous here, very much Spring weather.  So I've shown you one page using Fancy Pants - Little Sport collection.  Today I'm sharing another and nothing to do with sport ☺  As I mentioned previously, the patterns in this collection are so fun and can be used for many different themes.
These 'precious little people' are from my from brother and sis-in-law - such a gorgeous photo taken by my sister ☺  Using the different patterns I've created a 'sun-burst' effect, adding in texture paste and cute flowers.  Here are some close-up's:
... strips of the pattern papers, texture paste & the  chunky chevron CW stencil, Kaisercraft resin blossoms and some ink platters ...
... MS doily lace border punch ... Kaisercraft blooms - a chipboard word I had in my stash - have inked in white and then covered in dimensional magic ... little stickers for the title are from the Alpha sticker sheet ...
... and another close-up and the texture work ...

I have a few more things to show with this collection and there will be a soccer one in that ☺ Also still to come; my step-by-step tutorial for a little project I created!!
You can check out the whole collection at The Scrapbook Shop.  You can also read the latest newsletter HERE and find out who the new design team members are - a big CONGRATULATIONS to these lovely ladies ♥
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and happy crafting ☺

you are our sweet little boy

This month, I'm working with two collections from The Scrapbook Shop - I've already shared creations using Detour from Bo Bunny - now I have some pages using the fabulous collection of papers from Fancy Pants - Little Sport.  This is very much a sport themed collection, but the gorgeous patterns from stripes, dots and chevrons allow you to create totally different themed pages as I will
show. ☺

A page with mini-polaroid pictures of my little man - he is so 'photo friendly' - these were taken on his recent fourth birthday!  Here I've used the striped and spotty papers along with some of the banners and sticker tags - here are some close-up's:
... the little flags were created from the 12x12 element & alpha stickers - I've simply attached them to hemp twine ... the two larger tags in the background are from the die-cut banners...
... using some of the pattern papers and the rolled rose die from MFT I've hand-made these flowers and also added in a Manor house creations bloom ...
... some background effects - circles, Kaisercraft texture stamp, CW stencil - mini bingo with Delta Creative texture paste and some chevrons ...  and Kaisercraft resin blossoms  - I think these are one of my favourite flowers at the moment ☺ ...
... the title is from the 12x12 elements & alpha sticker - there are so many letters and words on this sheet - it will certainly go along way ☺

Some inspiration using a selection of the fun patterns in this collection ☺  Will be back soon with some more.  Thanks for visiting ☺

we love to travel

hello - hope your week is starting off well ☺  I've been enjoying creating with Bo Bunny - Detour collection - I have just one more LO to share with you!!
It took me a little while to 'like' this page ☺  It's quite busy with the pattern background, but I just love the paper and really wanted to show it off!!  I've used a B&W photo of our car and camper on one of our many camping holidays.  Here are some close-up's:
... a tag cut from one of the pattern papers and a cute little camera charm from the Detour button pack - have also used some of the black hemp twine ...
... American Craft foam stickers which I've outlined in black marker ...  I've also used some of the packaging from the sticker pack as a mat for the photo ...
... layered chipboard stickers - these embellishments are so cute ☺ ..

Well I hope you've enjoyed my pages using Detour - Bo Bunny - I've certainly had a great time using this collection - you can see the whole collection at The Scrapbook Shop!!

i ♥ to ride my bicycle

Hey, back with another page to share using the fabulous Bo Bunny - Detour collection - really enjoying this one ☺
For this LO I used a base of Double Dot Vintage - Wild Berry - also by Bo Bunny - it matched in perfectly with this collection.  I've left a lot of white space, clustering my design to the bottom half of the page. And it's another photo of my little man on his bike - he has had the best time this Winter, riding thru puddles.  Here are some close-up's:
... a layered chipboard sticker ... some cutting out of the pattern papers - there are quite a few of the double-sided papers which have little tags and accents, ready to add to your page ...
... some of the cute 'detour' buttons ...I've even cut a little strip from the packaging of the layered chipboard stickers ... also some of my favourite washi tape in chevron ...
... here I've used my CW stencil - chunky chevron and used paint dabbers and also mist to create rows of chevron patterns ... the chevron punch-outs are from an EK Success photo corner punch - an older Stampin'Up punch ... the little metal bike is also from the detour button pack ♥ adorable ♥ ... the sticker letters are from Fancy Pants - Little Sport collection ...

Check out this entire collection at The Scrapbook Shop - (as well as lots of other gorgeous collections)

Happy weekend - we have the most gorgeous Spring weather so it's going to be a great time to be outside and enjoying it ☺

detour

Hello - hope your week has been going great - we have had the most amazing weather - storms, wind, hail, rain and cold air - it's been very much indoors weather ☺
For September I received two paper collections from The Scrapbook Shop - first up I'm sharing with you a creation using Detour from Bo Bunny - it's a travel theme collection but can be used in so many different ways - it has great colours and embellishments and has a bit of a 'grungy' feel to it.
So here's my first page:
I have quite a few pictures of my littlest boy who just loves riding his bike, especially thru puddles - these pictures have worked very well for this collection ☺
I've used an assortment of the pattern papers and placed them at different angles in a cluster. How CoOl is the arrow paper?? Here are some close-up's:

... I've cut out some of the accents on the papers and layered them - this one worked well as my title ...
... some of the buttons which I've stitched ...  also chevron washi tape which suits this collection ☺ ...
... layered chipboard sticker ... texture stamps and some cute little Kaisercraft sparklets - just for a bit of bling ☺ ...

I'm loving this collection - great colours - especially for boys and I love all the different patterns ♥  You can see the full collection at The Scrapbook Shop
I'll be back soon - I have heaps to show this month, including a step-by-step for one of my Design Team projects ☺  Thanks for coming by.

always

Hello - I'm here again - this time to share the ARTastic challenge for September ☺
Inspired by this painting you will need to create something with a black background and use geometric shapes.  Fun, hey!!
Here's what I've created:
So many of the paper collections out there have geometric shapes - I've used My Minds Eye for this LO and have cut each hexagon out separately and then adhered onto my black background.
Here are some close-up's:
... I've also used some of the mini chipboard hexagons from the same collection ...
...my title with American craft letters and also Basic Grey little letters ...

So a very simple LO from me with little fuss .... but I love it ♥

We would love for you to join us in this fun challenge - head over to the Artastic blog to check out the details and also more inspiration from the Design Team.  Looking forward to seeing what you create ☺

you fly you soar

The new sketch for The Scrapbook Shop is out - have you seen it yet?  I think you will really enjoy this sketch from Nadia:
 Here's what I've created:
Once again, I'm scrapping some pictures of my beautiful niece - my sister took these photo's and I just love them ♥
I've used some MME papers - really want to use some of my 'old' stash because the new collections are out and they are just gorgeous - I would really love to get me some ☺
Here are some close-up's:

... a cluster of pretty blooms by Manor House and Kaisercraft ... also using the very pretty Daisy Fan punch by Martha Stewart ...

... another close-up of the flowers - can you see some shimmer?  it's Studio Calico 'Shine' mist - so pretty ☺
... I've covered some small Kaisercraft butterflies with pattern paper - inked the edges and then added some pearls ... have also use my new CW mini hexagon stencil with some glimmer mist - adding some subtle texture to the background paper ...

As you can tell, I really enjoyed working with this sketch - we would love to see you play along this month - you could win a $40.00 voucher to spend at the shop!!  Pop over to the gallery to see further inspiration.
I'll have plenty to share this month from The Scrapbook Shop - my kit is awesome and I have two great collections to work with - I will be back soon to share ☺☺

cherish, dream, live

Hello - hope you have been enjoying this first day of Spring - well, here in Australia ☺  The beginning of the month brings out all the new challenges.  I've got my LO to share for White with 1 - the challenge for this month is:
White & Orange & Black
Here's what I created:
These pictures coincide with Fathers Day very nicely - a 'dad and son' moment ☺
I've used a plain sheet of orange and added some details using stamps and mist.  I found the 'crossword' paper in my stash which is by Crate Paper - and filled in some of the blocks with little letters and made words to reflect on the theme.
Here are some close-up's:

... the Tim Holtz mini rosette with a flair button to the centre - have also clustered some flowers, pearl pins, muslin, shells and black hemp twine ...
... Kaisercraft rub-on's and another mini rosette with a Kaisercraft resin blossom ...

I've kept this page simple - the pictures tell the story and it was great to make a multiple photo LO!!

As you can see, black, orange and white go together very well - we hope you can play along this month - check out more inspiration from the Creative Team at the White with 1 BLOG.

Thanks for coming by ☺
