stuff 2 scrap scrapbooking

this is one of the LO's I made to share over at Stuff 2 Scrap showcasing some of the chipboard!
Leeann's Up and Away - have sponged the chipboard with Espresso ink and then added a large button - the cloud has been covered with pattern paper and then I've sanded the edges.
Here is a new piece of chipboard - a small heart with swirls - isn't it sweet.
... and I've added in all my regular goodies that I love to play with at the moment - paper doily, vintage bookprint, paper roses, rub-on's and stamping! Paper is by Cosmo Cricket - Circa 1934

This is my last LO for a little while - my family and I are off camping for a few weeks.  Sand, sun, fishing and relaxation - have been really looking forward to this holiday. It's going to be a long drive heading north, but I'm sure it will be worth it. .... and I'll have plenty of great pictures to share when we get back.
Til then, happy crafting.

things i love....

The July challenge is up at ARTastic and this is the inspiration painting to use - included are the following criteria:
black and white photo of yourself, monocromatic - red/maroon, include a hat/glove in the LO!
And here is my LO that I created:
I've used a series of self-portrait photo's and decided to share some things that I love, by making a journalling block, printed out on copy paper.  Pattern papers are from Crate paper and I've used red for the monocromatic colour.
Here are some close-up's:

a crochet flower, chipboard frame, crate paper button collection
a vintage girl card, hand-made button, stamping with inks and paper lace doily

I enjoyed putting this one together - monocromatic is always fun and I love using red, so it was perfect for me.

Here's what I've used:
Papers: Crate paper collection, white cardstock
Accessories: Crochet flower, crate paper button collection, vintage girl button, chipboard frame, computer journalling, paper doily, Kaisercraft stamp, ink, white tag

For more details on this challenge and to see all the prizes and sponsors, be sure to visit the ARTastic blog.  There's also lots of gorgeous inspiration from the Design Team too.  We hope you will join us.

all about the fun times

The beginning of a new month ...... and we are halfway the year already!!  Doesn't time fly by so quickly!
Stuff 2 Scrap has a new challenge ready to go for July and it's hosted by Felicity.  It's all about HER favourite things:
1. paint/ink/sprays
2. masking/stamping
3. circles
4. chipboard
5. layering

And I think I would be right in saying that at the moment, these techniques are very popular.
I've pretty much covered all the criteria in my LO and really enjoying putting this one together.
Here are some close-up's:
a cute chipboard elephant from Stuff 2 Scrap
a sweet little chipboard aeroplane - this is a new item coming out soon and perfect for those little boy LO's.  Have also done lots of stamping with my texture stamps from Kaisercraft.
my title uses letters by Sassafrass and Carolee's creations

Head over to the Stuff 2 Scrap blog to view all the details - we would love to see lots of entries for this fantastic challenge for the month of July - there's some great chipboard up for grabs!!

Here's what I've used:
Papers: Crate paper, White cardstock
Accessories:  Shipping tag, chipboard, crochet flower, Crate paper collection buttons, cardboard, Sassafrass letters, Carolee's Creations tiny letters, rub-on's, inks, stamps (Kaisercrafts), twine
