remembering

well, if you still have time in this busy season - the next sketch for Stuck?! Sketches is up and running.  The design team have posted some wonderful LO's on the blog!
I've flipped the sketch to the side and used this picture of my hubby and I on our recent anniversary.  I've used Prima papers, flowers, Prima chipboard and Hambly.  Here are some close-up's:
... some Dusty Attic chipboard which I've inked in white and then added glitter ...
... some of the chipboard from Prima as well as lots of flowers and doilies ...
... more chipboard and computer journalling ...

... and here is the wonderful sketch - there's lots of room for different interpretations with this one :-)... we hope you can still find some scrappin' time to play along.  Check out the blog for all the details!!

... in the meantime, I'm off to finish some packing - a few more days and we are off camping for a few weeks - can't wait ♥

more from the december journal

i'm pleased to say that my december journal is going strong - i think i doubted myself as to whether I could commit to this project - but by keeping it really simple and doing a 'little bit'  on it when ever i had some spare time - it's come together nicely.
... some days I've missed photo opportunities (grrrrr) - some days I've just captured some 'ordinary' stuff - some days have a few pages allocated if it was a bit special ...

here are a few pages to share:

... once again, it's all October Afternoon papers that I've had in my stash - some Stuff 2 Scrap star chipboard shapes, tags & cards from My Little Yellow Bicycle - (25 days of Christmas) and lots of red striped twine ♥ ...

We have a few exciting things happening soon - graduation at school and some Christmas singing for the 'aged care home' - so I won't forget my camera then- after school is all done, we are off camping for two weeks!! ☺

Thanks for coming by

december journal

i'm a little excited about sharing this next project - it's something I wanted to do last year, but it didn't eventuate ..... so after a little scurry about, gathering some supplies and goodies, I've started!!  I've called it my december journal.

... i've used all supplies from my stash and chose to use the October Afternoon line of papers - I have a few paper pads around and thought this would be a great way to use them up.  So whilst it won't entirely focus on Christmas, it will have little bits added in between.  It will also be about the events that have happened in this festive month and other little happenings along the way...
... so here are the first few pages ...

... i've kept it really simple - just adding in a few embellishments - once the whole album is completed, i'm thinking of going thru and adding some fun textures with stamps and paints ♥
... if you are doing a journal or december daily - leave me a comment as I would love to take a peak.

on christmas day

This LO is for ARTastic - it's all about Christmas and we have a beautiful inspiration picture of a 'white christmas' - something that is hard for us Aussies to imagine.  But it would be quite magical!!
The added criteria is is have a snowman and christmas tree and add in the word 'christmas'
I know I've scrapped this photo before...... but it's so cute!!
I've gotten a little messy with paint, gesso and stamps .... creating a christmas colour background.
Here are some close-up's:
... a cluster of assorted flowers, spotty button and doily ...
... a circle bunting which includes the snowman and christmas tree ...

and here is the painting - check out the ARTastic blog for all the details and more samples from the Design Team.
We hope to see lots of you playing along and look forward to checking out your LO's.
Til next time - happy crafting.

Just popping in to share this LO for Bird is the Word challenge - adore.  I had the perfect photo's - just taken last week - of my oldest and youngest together.

... Prima flowers and a cute bug button from Lil Red Rocket ...
... more flowers ... letters from Sassafrass and American Craft Thickers ...

guest designer at Handmade by Suzanne!!!

Earlier on this month, I mentioned that I'm guest designing at Handmade by Suzanne for this month - I received a kit of fabulous papers and accessories by Echo Park - Seasons Greetings.  So I've been creating LO's and other delights with these papers - you can pop over to the gallery to take a peak!
Here is one of the LO's:
I've kept the whole LO rather simple and used lots of white space ......... and my new CW template - chicken wire .... think it's going to be a favourite ♥  Suzanne has this one in the shop!
Here's some close-up's:
... a chipboard accent - these make it so easy to add something extra to your page ... also shaped sticker borders from the same range ...
... more chipboard and the wording is cut out from the Echo Park papers ...finished off with twine and a length of cut red twill ...
... and a little bunting using the Martha Stewart punch and twine ...

I've really enjoyed creating with these supplies - if you are after Christmas themed papers or other supplies, be sure to check out Handmade by Suzanne - you won't be disappointed.
There's still time to play along with this months sketch challenge too - the winner is chosen by random so everyone has a chance to get the $30.00 voucher to spend in the shop - check out the gallery for  amazing inspiration!
Thanks for coming by - I always appreciate the love you share ♥♥♥

friends

The second sketch for the month is up at Stuck?! Sketches!!  I had lots of fun with this one and got a little messy with gesso and misting.
I've sprayed glimmer mist and swipes gesso onto the background pattern paper by Echo Park.  I've also gone a little wild distressing and tearing the edges ☺
I really love this picture of my boys with their friend while we went camping together - they are really quite inseparable!
Here are some close-up's:
... a little bunting from book print ... hamburger pin from my friend Leeann ... lots of stamping and painting ...
... another little bunting and a cute button from Lil Red Rocket ...
... a handmade flower with a brad ...

and here is the sketch - this month it's been provided by the talented Crystal Goulding who is on the Creative Team.

We hope you can play along this month - check out the details on the Stuck?! Sketches blog and all the inspiration from the Creative Team.

four very special blessings

Ok, so I'm quickly sneaking this one in for Once Upon a Sketch - have been working on it for the past few days with lots of interruptions, but now it's done!
This challenge is all about why we scrap book - so I've used a picture of my four blessings as they are my inspiration.  And I ♥ working with b&w photo's as I get to match up some great colours.
I've used Jillibean Soup, Hambly, Prima flowers and the cool letters are from Cosmo Cricket. Here are some close-up's:

... a cluster of embellies including a hand-made button from my stash - you can also see some Kaisercraft wooden swirls in the background ...
... lettering by Cosmo Cricket and Carolee's Creations ...
 ... and my journalling ...

... and here is the sketch to go with the challenge.
Thanks for coming by.

four wheeler adventures

I've been enjoying some of the Basic Grey challenges of late - it's great to be able to use some of the hoards of papers that I have in my stash!!
For this challenge you need to include a chevron design in your LO or card.  So this is what I've come up with and wow - it was so much fun ♥♥
Apart from the pictures, I haven't added too much to the overall design - really wanted the chevron design to stand out too ☺
Here are some close-up's:
... details of the pattern - I've used the June bug collection ... and I've also added in a BG bloomer ...
... a hand-made paper flower with the scallop punch ... and a stamped frame onto the BG pattern paper - the frame and the background stamping has all been done using a Basic Grey stamp set ...

I think I'll keep this design in mind - it's fun to try some new things.  Thanks Basic Grey ♥

a special time

I have another LO to share using my kit from Handmade by Suzanne, with the gorgeous papers from Echo Park - Seasons Greetings - even though they are Christmas papers, I haven't actually made a Christmas themed LO - instead I've used these cute pictures of my little man and the 'otherside' of the papers.  Love the colours and the vintage paper that was included in this range.
This LO is also for the November sketch - you can check out the gallery for the details.
Here are some close-up's of the details:
... the banner is made with the Stampin'Up punch- it came together so easily - finished off with stitched ribbon and chipboard buttons from Echo Park ...
... a hand-made paper flower using a scallop punch and another chipboard button ... the chipboard accents make it so easy to embellish ...
And here is the sketch - lots of lovely layers - we hope you will play along this month and be in the draw for a $30.00 voucher from HBS - what a great prize ♥
All supplies are from Echo Park - Seasons Greetings (HBS) accept for the paper doily in the background.

Thanks for coming by - ♥ reading your comments.

you are our happy little man

The first sketch for November from  Stuck?! Sketches is up and running - I think you will LOVE this two picture sketch.  I had lots of fun with it, especially using these photo's of my cute little man ♥
I've used the remainder of paper in my stash, from Crate - Random collection - I really love line, even though the papers and embellishments are fairly girlish.
Here are some close-up's:

... a cluster of doilies, prima flower, and chipboard flower from Crate ...
... another chipboard flower with doilies and a cute sticker bunting ...
... the title uses Sassafrass letters and Crate ... also some close up details of the stitched circle - I used the Sew Easy and some yellow thread to make this ...
... and another embellishment - tissue paper flower with doily ...

and here is the fabulous sketch - we had so many great entries last month, so we hope you are all inspired to play along again.
There's lots more lovely work from the Creative Team on the blog - you can check it out here
