Scrapbooking on Canvas

I really wanted this photo to be on the walls of my craft room. So instead of just putting it into a frame, I decided to dress up this small canvas I had in my stash. So with a few pieces of coloured cardstock, some chipboard letters, rub-on's and a few smaller embellishments, I created this cute little wall hanging.
The chipboard letters have been inked up in Real Red and then I've applied Versamark and Clear Embossing Powder to give it some shine.
The smile definition is a rub-on and the little ladybird in the Hodgepodge Hardware frame is from Garden Whimsy. I've also used the photo corner punch and some brads to make an embellisment for the corner of photo.
Some products are Stampin'Up, others are bits and pieces I've collected along the way. It's always fun to do something 'off the page'. And I love it that I'll be able to see it everyday.

Hi, what did you do for the colour on the canvas?
Is that cardstock, ink or paint?
I tried once and had trouble with ink on the canvas, but yours looks fantastic!

Hi Zarna, the colour on the edge of canvas has been done with Stampin'Up ink, only lightly sponged, as I still wanted to see some of the white!!

What a neat way to display photos on the wall -- much more original than putting a photo in a frame! Well done! :o)

I tried a stampin' spot straight onto the canvas and it took forever!
Also dried out the spot...
