The Scrapbook Store - birthday autograph book

Hey - hello crafty friends.  In my DT kit for September from The Scrapbook Store, I received the cute little autograph book from the 'Say Cheese' collection by Simple Stories.  After a little bit of thinking, I decided to use it to record my youngest sons birthday.  I've included a photo from each year and a little bit about what we did.

This is the cover - I've used one of the chipboard stickers, added a title using the alpha's from the Expressions Cardstock stickers and added in some twine and a crochet heart .... which I'm really enjoying making at the moment ☺

Here are closer details of each page - all products are from this collection:
'Say Cheese' collection - Autograph Book
Chipboard Stickers
Expressions Cardstock Stickers
'Say Cheese' Pattern Papers

He's just turned five recently, so we still have lots of room in this autograph book.  I love how it's coming along and look forward to filling it up in the years to come.

Check out The Scrapbook Store online to view this collection.  And there is still time to join in with our monthly sketch challenge - you can win a $40.00 voucher - check out the gallery for the sketch and inspiration

The Scrapbook Store - Say Cheese Collection - Simple Stories

Hey everyone - I have another share using my DT kit from The Scrapbook Store.  It's been such fun, creating with the wonderful collection 'Say Cheese' by Simple Stories.  I have enjoyed the bright colours and fun chipboard elements.

I love this happy picture of one of my boys ☺  I've designed a banner style page using various items from this collection.
Here are some close-up's of the details:
The word 'magic' is a card from the Sn@p cuts - I've layered some of the pattern paper 12x12 Best Day Ever behind the word.  Then I've outlined in black pen to give it more definition.
This collection includes a few sheets of 3x4 journal cards which can be cut out - I added some stitching and stamping to this one.
These are some of the chipboard elements - I used the WHOLE sheet in my creations from this month - they are all really good ☺  I've also used some of the stickers from the Expressions Cardstock Sticker sheet.

Products used:
Pegs
Twine
Sequins
Black pen
Machine Stitching
Ink
Script stamp
Hand-made crochet heart

Please check out this entire collection online at The Scrapbook Store - this is one of those 'must have collection' that suit any theme of scrapbooking!

Life Paper Scrapbook - September Colour Challenge

Hello and happy Friday - hope you are all well and feeling crafty ☺  I have my DT inspiration for the colour challenge at Life Paper Scrapbook.  The colour inspiration has a summery feel about it and I really enjoyed putting these ones together to create a page.
Here is the colour palette:

.... and here is my page ....

I recently purchased the Project Life kit from Life Paper Scrapbook and have used some of the little bits on this page - you can check out the kit HERE.  I also bought some of the Freckled Fawn Cloud Wood Chips - they are just adorable.  As you can see I have a lot of white on my page with pops of the different colour - I really love how this one turned out.
Here are some close-up's:
I had a little fun with some background textures.  Once my modelling paste was dry I used a stamp pad, paint brush and water to create the water colour feature you can see in the background.

I've used a Stampin'Up waterbased ink pad - by pressing the ink pad into the lid you create a pool of ink.  I've dipped a wet paint brush into this to create my palette of water colour and used this to paint onto the page.  I've done this with each colour.

The little wooden cloud chips from - aren't they just so cute.  The wooden frame comes in the kit from LPS.

123 Challenge - September challenge

Hello crafty friends - hope you had a lovely weekend ☺  Last week I made some time to do the challenge over at the 123 Challenge Blog - I loved the look of their latest challenge - fun, pretty and pink and I've even managed that on a boys page ☺
Here is their September challenge:

COLOUR: PINK
WORD: SWEET
TECHNIQUE: FLORALS

... and here is my take on the challenge ....

I had recently taken these photo's of my youngest picking some strawberries from our garden.  They fit in well with the challenge requirements.
I've used all-sorts from my stash - some pop up flower by Sassafrss (older line), Glitz Papers and some embellishments from my collection. ☺
Here are some close-up's:
A cluster of flowers - I still had some of these paper foldies by Sassafrass - oh they were great and I'm glad I got to use them on this page.
Lots of pink tucked into the page ☺
And the title of course .... sweet strawberries ....... using some little Glitz letters.

Check out the 123 challenge blog - they would love to have more participants for their challenges otherwise they may be closing it down ..... that would be a shame :(

Thanks so much for coming by to visit ♥

Life Paper Scrapbook - September sketch challenge

Hello - hope your weekend is going well.  Today I'm sharing my DT take on the September sketch for Life Paper Scrapbook.  If you love to add layers, this is a great one for you ☺
I turned the sketch to the side so I could use these 'cool' pictures of my boys ☺  Here's my sketch inspiration!!

I've used some of the Kaisercraft Basecoat papers in the background.  They went well with this boyish page.
Here are a few close-up's:
I've used stamps, a flair badge and a cut-out of pattern paper for this clustered circle element of the sketch.
my title ...... Life is so good in coloured jeans.  And for this part of the sketch I've used a stamp and a cute chipboard word!!

Our fabulous sponsor for this sketch challenge is Polly! Scrap Kits. Polly! Scrap Kits is a small Australian kit club that offers monthly kits for scrapbooking and project life for a really great price. They have a blog where you can find tons of inspiration to use their kits. This year they will be offering a December Daily kit too!

Polly! Scrap Kits will be giving one randomly selected participant in this Sketch challenge a free Project Life kit. In addition, based on the submissions to this challenge, Polly! will be inviting one person to be a guest designer for an upcoming kit. They will send you the kit for free that month and feature your work using the kit on their blog and facebook page, so please show them your best work in your challenge submissions!

Simple Stories - Say Cheese Collection - The Scrapbook Store

Hello - this week has allowed me some quieter days of crafting which has been wonderful.  This is my second page using my DT Kit of 'Say Cheese' by Simple Stories for The Scrapbook Store.  I'm enjoying this collection, the colours are wonderful and the designs on the papers are so fun.
Check out the background paper of this layout ............
I managed to get a bunch of photo's of my boys last week, so I'm using a number of them for this collection ☺
The background paper in this page is the 12x12 pattern paper Fun - I really didn't want to cover it up too much.  As well as this collection, I've also used some Distress Glitter by Ranger and a Heidi Swapp stencil - here are some close-up's:

A Magic Moment is my title - the word 'magic' is a chipboard sticker from this collection.  You can also see a strip of glitter - I've placed down a strip of double-sided tape and sprinkled with the 'fired brick' Distress Glitter - adds some wonderful sparkle to the page ☺
I just LOVE chipboard stickers and the ones in this collection are so cute - they really add dimension to the page too!!
The die-cut camera is from the Sn@p cuts and I've added a chipboard sticker heart to it too.  As some background texture, I've used the Heidi Swapp 6x6 stencil Confetti with texture paste.  This stencil is just adorable - it's got hearts, stars and dots all on the one stencil!!  Love, LOVE ☺

I hope you are enjoying this collection so far - I've plenty more to share during this month ☺  In the meantime, please check The Scrapbook Store online to view the entire collection.

Products used:
Double sided tape
Modelling paste
cotton thread
mist

Simple Stories - Say Cheese - The Scrapbook Store

Hey again ☺  This month I have the wonderful task of creating with 'Say Cheese' by Simple Stories for The Scrapbook Store ...... how fun ☺
This collection is Disney Themed but don't let that stop you from taking a peek at it ..... it can be used for so many more everyday themes, as well as Project Life too.  It has a wonderful selection of colours and embellishments to work with.
Today I'm sharing my first DT page:

As well as pattern papers, there is a selection of more solid colour papers, such as this black with the subtle black dots.  Seeing as I rarely use black as my background and that I really like the whole blackboard look at the moment, I decided to use this 12x12 Black Dot/Stripe pattern paper!!  I've cut out some elements from other pattern papers in this collection and teamed it up with chipboard stickers and a new stencil by WOW Alta Matz - Moroccan 6x6.  Here are some close-up's:
I've used modelling paste along with the stencil to create this background - white really pops out from the black and I've added some splashes of mist to add colour.  There is also some sprinkling of glitter - Distressed Glitter - Fired Brick.  I really loved working with this new stencil and was super impressed with the crisp image that comes with modelling paste.
The banner and stars are Chipboard Stickers from this collection - chipboard stickers always give nice layers to your pages ☺
These are assorted elements that I've cut out from some of the papers.  Have also used some stickers from the Expressions Cardstock Stickers. So many stickers, letters and words on the one page - definitely great value ☺
And here is some more background texture with the stencil.  I've also added in a hand-made crochet heart - I love to crochet and made up a bundle of hearts the other day to use on my pages.
I've also stamped with white ink and a script stamp and used a white pen for some outlining.

Products used:
Modelling paste
sequins
crochet heart
script stamp
white ink
white pen

If you would love to create with this fabulous collection, please pop over to The Scrapbook Store to see the whole collection.  Thanks so much for coming by ♥

Scrap for Help - September challenge

Hello crafty peoples ☺  Just popping by to share my DT page for the September challenge at Scrap for Help - as there are two teams, we only create every two months, so this is my month on ☺  September's challenge is to use a soda clip on your page or project!

For this page I decided to go out of my normal style and do a collage style page, very much inspired by my scrappy friend Leeann Pearce.  I've used the soda clip as a little tag attachment to my photo, tied with some twine.  Here are some close-up's:

Lots of assorted pattern papers from my stash - that's a great thing about this style; you can use up all your 'bits' ☺ I've even added in some hambly.
On some of the papers, I've done stamping, misting and adding in sequins.  There is also machine stitching on some of the edges.
And my little soda clip (which I found in my sons junk box)!!
I've also made this arrow using a wooden stick and some heart punches - love how it's turned out ☺

So there you have it!!!  Hope you can join us at Scrap for Help this month.  Please check the blog for all the details and lots more inspiration from the Design Team.

Thanks so much for stopping by ♥
