adorable and sweet

Joining in with the Handmade by Suzanne sketch this month!!  Had fun with this one and went a little bit 'out of my style' with some stitching and strips of paper around the edges.
These pictures are of my little one and his little 'girl' friend - they always have a lot of fun together - these were from a recent camping trip!
Here are some close-up's:
I've used lots of Crate papers from the Random collection - including the chipboard sticker flowers and title.  I've hand-made a paper flower using the scallop punch and added in the heart button, also from the same collection.
... some printed journalling ... doily with pins ...
... a close-up of the chipboard sticker title and the stitching around the edge of the page - have also added in some Kaisercraft rub-on's ...

And here is the sketch for October - you will have a few days to play along!  You can check out the gallery here!!

Well October has flown by so quickly and next week is already a new month so there will be a whole lot of new challenges coming up - I will see you back then.  Happy crafting.

together

Caden and his little cousins - since we don't live that close to our family; it was great to get a picture of them all together on his last birthday.
This LO is for the Bird in the Word Challenge - with the word being together.  It was the perfect word for this picture.
I've used papers from Simple Stories - love this range and the colour tones.  The letters are American Thickers which I've dabbed with paint and then outlined in black.
... another rosette flower with flowers, bits of stamping and painting added in ...  I am loving all the textured stamps that are available at the moment ...

I had a lot of fun putting this one together - another little memory recorded.
Happy crafting and thanks for coming by.  Hello to my latest followers - I've just hit 150!!  Must be time for a give-away - stay tuned.

remember every little moment

It feels like I've been everywhere but here lately ... busy, busy, busy ... but all good.
Stuck?! Sketches have their second sketch for the month up and running.  Here's my inspiration:

I've used stickers and papers from the girls paperie - which is actually quite a girlish line, but I've still managed to make it work with these cute pictures of my littlest man and his cute face!!
For my circle elements of the sketch, I've used a pen and circle template (which I think was a dinner plate) and drawn it in - then I've added in stitching, rub-on's and doodling with my pen!  It's fun to find different ways to add in circles, rather than papers.
... just a few simple embellishments, buttons and sticker letters ...
... my all time favourite - Tim Holtz mini rosette ... and a crochet doily peaking out from behind ...

And here is the very fun sketch - we would love to see you play along this month.  Check out all the details on the blog!! and see much more inspiration from the other Creative Team members.

Thanks for coming by - I'll be back with another LO soon!

smiley

I think I've just created one of my most favourite LO's - I had a blast with this one.  It's for the challenge over at Scrapbookit - hosted by Chantal and you need to use RED - YELLOW - BLUE.
I started off my LO with a paint palette of the three colours and used some fancy edge paint scrappers to create the textured background - heaps of fun.
I've used Sassafrass, Hambly, Echo Park & Jenni Bowlin products.
Here are some close-up's:

... Sassafrass flower foldies - hand-made crochet flowers - hand-made stamped tag with button ...
... Jenni Bowlin sticker letters - Hambly transparency ...
... chipboard cloud painted white - yellow doily - stamped balloon - felt flower ...
... here's a close -up of the painted BG - I found these 'fancy edge paint scrappers' at my local discount store...

So that's my take on this challenge - hope you've enjoyed taking a look.  School holidays are keeping us busy - plenty of camping and catching up with family - and that means lots of great photo opportunities.  Plenty of scrap booking coming up I think!!

trees

Hello - this LO is for the challenge over at ARTastic - we having something a little different this month.  As well as being inspired by the painting - the following criteria are also required:
* include a house
* include a tree
* give you LO a spooky feel
I must admit that the 'spooky feel' was quite hard for me to achieve - I'm not into Halloween or anything spooky - but this is what I came up with.  It's quite amazing that with the right papers and elements - you can give your LO a 'dark' feel.  Also printing the photo out in sepia helped set the mood.
My background is made up of squares of Crate Paper - Random - I've stitched them like patchwork and also added in some stamping.
I've also added in a dash of Hambly - love how it frames the picture.
Here are some close-up's:
Both the house and tree are chipboard items - I've stamped some words onto the chipboard house and inked the edges.  I've also added in some hearts and buttons.  I've added in a owl bottle cap to the tree which is my 'spooky' element.
The cute bottle cap owl - sticker letters are by American Crafts and October Afternoon.

... and here is the painting for inspiration ...
We hope you will play along this month - check out the blog for lots of fantastic inspiration and details of how to join in.

Ok, I'm off to do some packing for our 'little' camping trip this weekend and hopefully squeeze in some crafting before we leave.  Thankfully I'm pretty organised as we have only just come back from a camping weekend - yep ....... we love camping.
Thanks for the lovely comments and happy crafting.

explore

It's just past the first of the month of October, it's school holidays, time seems to be flying by more and more quickly - yes, life is busy but good.  I will have a few posts for you over the next few days with new challenges up for the month.  First up we have Stuck?! Sketches!!
I loved working with this first sketch for the month.  I've used a cute picture of my littlest man who just loves being outside and exploring.
Pattern papers are from October Afternoon and also some Hambly transparencies - have started using these alot lately.  I've also added in my usual amount of stamping, flowers, doilies and chipboard.  Here's some close-up:

... a little chipboard fence - have added ink and stamps ... Sassafrass green flower - these are so awesome ... rub-on title and computer journalling ...
... more stamping, some stitching and circle punch-out's ...
... Prima flowers, doily and button ...

And here is the fabulous sketch to work with - look at all those great circle elements.  You can find all the details at the Stuck Sketches blog!!  Hope you can play along!!

Blogger is not letting me comment on some of your blogs - grrrrr - if you have any tips, I would appreciate them.  Even though I'm already signed in, it still says I have to sign in - then will re-direct me to 'nothing'.  It's really frustrating.  The blogs that open up their comment section with a seperate window do allow me to comment - if that's any help!!  Thanks.
