I'm feeling right up to date with my scrappin' - these are very recent photo's of my oldest son's birthday - he just turned 12!! I've used them in the sketch from

The moment I saw this sketch, I just LOVED it and knew that I HAD to play along. And I'm glad I did - I had a great time creating this one.
Here are some close-up's:
... crochet flower, doily trim, shipping tag with rub-on's, bingo card, paper spirals (
birthdays always remind me of curled ribbons and streamers, so I've created some paper spirals by running the scissor edge along the paper to curl it) ...
.... have used lots of rub-on's from a birthday theme sheet of rub-on's....
.... misting with glimmer-mist and stamping with paint .....

OMGoodness. This just jumped out at me. LOVE IT.
What a fabulous and original take on the sketch but also, what a wonderful Birthday page. I find them so hard (a bit like school pages) but wow oh wow. This is just fabulous.
(It is my DD 4th Birthday tomorrow and she wants a chocolate cake with icing and m&ms. I was going to do cupcakes with 4 on each but this cake looks fabulous, maybe I will try something like this instead).
