Lollipop Ladies - Challenge #7

Today I have a card to show you for the latest challenge over at the Lollipop Ladies - we are already up to Challenge #7.  Haven't they been so much fun?
The new challenge is all about donuts - yummy; and the added bonus is chocolate!
Here's my creation for the challenge:
I've gone with a birthday party theme - there's always donuts at a party as well as chocolate cake!
So I've used this cute image from My Favourite Things - this one is Birthday Princess.  I've stamped her in Memento Rich Cocoa Ink and coloured with Copics - I've added some stickles to the cake!
The little dress has been 'paper-pieced' using some pattern paper.
I've used my CM Oval cutter and punched out lots of smaller circles to create the scallop border.
The pattern paper is Basic Grey - Nook & Pantry - I've co-ordinated that with some Stampin'Up colours - choc chip, regal rose and a new colour - Daffodil Delight.
I've added a little cluster of embellishments - ribbon, button and some paper roses.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
Here's a closer look:

I really enjoyed putting this card together.  We hope you will join us this week - head over to the Lollipop Ladies to view all the details of how you can join in the fun.  And I look forward to seeing your lovely creations.
Thanks for coming by.

Here's the sketch to work with:

 And here's my LO:

I've used more cute pictures of Caden taken by my sister Aimee.
The base is Kraft cardstock (one of my favs) - I've used some Stampin'Up cardstock and pattern paper by October Afternoon.
Here's a closer look:
I've used lace trims and paper to create this accent along with a doily, green flower and cute birdie pin from the Chip-Chop Shop!
A paper lace doily, heart button and digital collage picture.
Lastly, I've added some spotty ribbon and ruffled along to the edge of the bag with a button - this is also from the Chip-Chop Shop

Hope you like; I had fun with this one.
Thanks for coming by.

Out of the Hat - October Challenge.

It's been a little while since I've done a challenge from Out of the Hat Scrap Challenges.  So I've finally sqeezed in a LO for their latest October challenge.
The requirements are:
* scallops
*hand-made embellishments
*book-page

Here's my LO!
I've used some pictures of my twin boys - taken on our camping trip in July.
The base is White cardstock and I've sprayed some red and blue glimmer-mist to create a subtle background.  Cardstock is by Stampin'Up, using red, blue and grey to compliment the photo's. Here's a closer look:

Scallops using vintage bookprint - I've sponged the edges.
A hand-made tag using bookprint and rub-on's for the wording.
A cute cluster using a doily from my Etsy store, two birdie pins from the Chip-Chop Shop and a star button from my stash.
And these two cute froggie buttons - aren't they just so sweet!  These are from Lil Red Rocket!

Other fun challenge from Out of the Hat - they always come up with great combinations.
Thanks for coming by.

Lollipop Ladies Challenge

Hope you are all having a great week - today I have a card for the new challenge over at the Lollipop Ladies - this one is yummy and I'm sure everyone loves: Strawberries and Cream.  The bonus challenge is layering.

Here's my card:

Strawberries and Cream reminds me of a tea-party with sponge cake and cupcakes and of course a good pot of tea!!
So I've gone with this cute image - Cupcake Kikki -  CC Designs.  I've coloured with Copic Markers and used the Labels Eight Nestabilities to cut out.  The pattern paper is by Kaisercraft - Candy Lane Collection. The 6x6 paper pad comes with die-cuts too which I've used for the little tag.  I've added the sentiment 'celebrate' along with a rose and pearl string.
I've also added in some lace trim and two pearl brads.
Here's a closer look:

We would really love for you to join in with this weeks challenge - pop over to the Lollipop Ladies challenge blog to view all the details.  Look forward to seeing your fabulous creations.

Lil Red Rocket scrapbooking birthday challenge

Over at Lil Red Rocket, they are celebrating their first birthday - this is one of my favourite Etsy stores and you will often see their fabulous and fun buttons on my LO's.  Shell is having a challenge with one of her sketches, to celebrate the first birthday and there's a really great prize too.  Pop on over to the Lil Red Rocket blog to view all the details!
So here's my LO:

I've used some cute photo's of my little boy having some fun in the backyard - these are just some of the amazing pictures that Aimee took while staying here with us!!
The background paper is from Kaisercraft and the other paper is from Bo-Bunny!
I've ruffled some spotty green ribbon along the bottom and created a little cluster: paper lace doily, co-ordinating chip-board stickers from Bo-Bunny, heart button and digital collage picture.
And this cute BIG button from Lil Red Rocket!
Some chipboard letters by American Crafts and smaller red letter AdornIT.
Here's the sketch LO for some inspiration - isn't it great - i love all the different layers and the circle element.
Hope to back soon with some more new creations - it's school holidays and we are enjoying the last few days, especially with all the gorgeous sunshine!
