Scrap the Boys - August Challenge #1

I have another scrapbook page to share, complete with some very fresh photo's of the past weekend when we celebrated Kyle's birthday, my eldest boy.  I have my sister to thank for the amazing pics she took for me; these are just two of them.
So this LO is for the latest Scrap the Boys challenge - August challenge #1 is to include flowers.  I love nothing better than including hand-made flowers on my LO's, so I really enjoyed getting this one together.

I stayed away from Kraft this time and used a blue background, picking up the colour from his t-shirt.
I've used some pattern paper by October afternoon, which I've spray with glimmermist, then scrunched up the top edges to add some texture.  It also reveals some of the underside of the paper.
Doily, blue spotted button from Lil Red Rocket and hand-made vintage bookprint flower.
Here you can also see the effect of the pattern paper scrunched up and rolled up!

Another button by Lil Red Rocket - these are Lil Cutie buttons 1 1/2 inches - and a patchwork doily flower from my Etsy store.
Red American Craft Thickers - these are my absolute favourite alphabets to use.  I've also used some black glittery sticker letters.
Some more doilys, flowers, lace trim, collage circle and journalling.

Hope you enjoyed this one - I'm am really enjoying these monthly challenges and it's certainly helping to get my album in order too.  Thanks for coming by.
