cadens wheelbarrow

The second sketch for the month is up at Stuck?! Sketches and here is my LO:
Some fun photo's of my little one in his new wheelbarrow - it was such a hot day, he filled it with water and bubbles ☺
I've used some papers and flower pop-up's from Sassafrass with a few embellishments sprinkled in between.  Here are some close-up's:
... a cute little button from Lil Red Rocket and a Kaisercraft bloom ...
... chipboard letters and computer journalling ...
... the Sassafrass foldies - I've added in a tag, peg and wooden flower embellishment ...

... and here is the fabulous sketch to work with - I love it that it fits a series of photo's ...
This is my very last LO for the Stuck?! Sketches challenge blog - my six months is up and it's time to welcome in some new faces.  Thanks to Sara for having me - it was great having these sketches as my inspiration each month and I look forward to joining in on the other side ☺

pink lake

Happy Monday - another new week ☺
I had a go at the latest challenge from Once Upon a ... Sketch - it's all about holidays or vacations!
For something a little different, I decided to go with a scenery photo, rather than people.
Here's my LO:
This place is a holiday spot of many wonderful memories - we have been to this place many, many times and we are still enjoying it!!
My background paper is from Delish -  Dulwich Collection - and I've given it some 'ink treatment'.  And I've used lots of different things on this page - here are some close-up's:
... a hand-made bloom - this is made by me - I made it white but used glimmer mist to change the colour to suit my page ...some crochet trim and a little birdie button ...
... a stem of blooms - this is actually from a larger stem of faux flowers that I got in a discount store - they are perfect for scrap booking ☺...
... another tag - I can't seem to make a LO without them ☺ - and my journalling which I've attached to the tag.
... and here is the sketch to work with the challenge: - a very fun one too!!

...now more about the hand-made blooms - I've been creating a bunch of them and wanted to share them as a preview - they will be available in my clearance sale on Friday - I've made them in white and as you can see, they are easy to mist with inks so you can customize them for your LO's.

Hope you like ♥☺♥
I'm nearly ready to share a picture of my give away, so I will be back soon.
Thanks for coming by!!

happy day

Hey, hope you've had a wonderful weekend and feel well rested, ready to start a new week ☺
I'm just sneaking in this LO for a challenge at the My Minds Eye blog - it's a sketch challenge with the theme of YOU.
I really wanted to join in seeing as I've got a stash of new goodies from the new collection - Follow Your Heart - I just love the soft muted tones of these papers and the gorgeous embellishments that go along with them.
Anyway, here's what I've created:
These pictures are of my biggest boy - he had a fun beach day with his class mates to celebrate the end of their Primary School years.  With the sketch, I've layered lots of the pattern papers together, adding in some of the chipboard embellishments and also making some of my own.
Here are some close-up's:
... circles from the pattern paper with some of the brads ... also made a little flag with one of the pins ...
... my journalling and the chipboard title ...
... a little bunting from the chipboard embellishments ...

... and here is the sketch that was provided for this challenge:
It's a fun one, hey!!  I'm off to link it up.
I hope to be back soon with a preview of some flowers for my sale on Friday and also details of the give away ☺

adore you

I recently got some new goodies in - some of the gorgeous papers and embellishments from My Minds Eye - what a stunning collection!!
I used some of the papers and embellishments to create a LO for a challenge from
The criteria is to have at least ONE heart on the page, misting/painting and use a Charms Creations embellishment.
So here's what I've come up with:
I just ♥ these photo's of my oldest and youngest together.  My oldest has such a caring nature and is always looking out for his little brother.
Here are some close-up's:
... the Charms Creations embellishment - one of the stars - these are such a cool embellishment, especially for boys LO's!!
... chipboard accents from MME and Kaisercraft blooms ...
... I love recycling!!  The other week I had something delivered to me and in the box was some packing foam - I saved a few of the pieces and made some stamps - for this page I've used I used a 'heart' stamp - I've stamped with paint and I just love the texture the foam has created ...

I'm sure you will be seeing plenty more with these papers - it's one of my favourite collections that have come out recently.

And here is something else that I bought from the recent Charms Creations sale - one of these cute little monsters - my little one loves it!!
Thanks for coming by and the lovely comments!!

christmas card photo shoot

I really wanted to make sure that I created a LO for this photo which I used as my Christmas card for 2011 - we had such a fun time together and I love that the final picture we chose, was the location in our backyard that the boys said -  'lets have it on the trampoline, mum'  ♥♥♥♥
So I've created a LO and joined in with the challenge over at Scrap for Help - some of my lovely scrappin' on-line friends are in the design team and they very much inspired me to join in - it's the first time I've done one of their challenges ☺ this month you need to use muslin/bandage on your LO!!
So I've used muslin in the background.
All the papers are Basic Grey - Picadilly Collection and I've made lots of my own bits and pieces on this LO ☺
Here are some close-up's:
... a little bunting with twine and little pegs - i've made different shaped tags and flowers using my punches and pattern papers, then embellished with buttons and brads ...
... some Imaginarium chipboard that I've dry brushed with gesso, a rosette flower with a red doily in the background...

Speaking of doilies - it's 10 more days till my Creative Bits clearance sale - I have lots and lots of coloured doilies and I cannot wait to share them with you.  So please stay tuned for more details!
