love you - March Kaisercraft challenge

KC march challengeHello there.  I'm popping up one more page for March - joining in with the challenge over at Kaisercraft.
They have a nice sketch challenge this month!

Here's what I've created:
I've used the Kaleidoscope collection - papers and co-ordinating stickers.
I've printed out my photo in B + W because it's easier to match up with busy pattern papers.
Here are some close-up's:
I've kept true to the sketch - I love how it has the clustered section in the middle and is balanced out by the strip at the bottom.
The sticker sheet has lots of great words included so I've used a number of these on my page.
I'm off to link this page up at the blog - thanks so much for coming here ♥

happy together - Artastic March challenge

Hello there!  It seems this month is flying by .....  but I've managed another scrapbooking challenge.  This month Artastic have this fun piece of inspiration:

The requirement is to use wood veneer!

Here's what I've come up with:

Inspired by the picture, I've included some woodgrain into my page.  I also found some cute owl images in my stash and have made them into flair buttons - four in totoal - for each lad ☺  I added in the strip of paper with the tree's for a pop of colour!
Here are some close-up's:

I've used a die-cut for one word of my title and the other a wood veneer as part of the challenge requirement.
I love to use stamps on my pages and I happened to have a woodgrain background stamp - so this tied in nicely on the page.

Loved this challenge - there's lots of lovely inspiration on the blog at Artastic.
Thanks for popping in ☺

fun in the sun - D-lish Scraps March challenge

Hello there and happy Monday.  I created this page over the weekend for the D-lish Scraps March challenge - I purchased one of their 'just add paper' kits called Sunny Daze.
I've used some of the kit for the challenge!

Here's what I've come up with:
I've used some recent photo's of my son at the beach - our Summer has just ended but we are still getting some gorgeous 'beachy' weather, so we are making the most of it ☺
I love all the different embellishments in the kit!
Here are some close-up's:

A piece of orange tissue paper was included in the kit, so I used my scallop punch to create this puffy flower.  The crochet bunting is a cute addition to the kit ♥
I love the wood veneer title and it was perfect for my photo's.

Loved playing along with this mood board challenge - pop over to their blog to see all the details of how to join in ☺
Thanks for popping in.

summer

Hello there, hope you've had a great week.  I'm sharing a page using some products from Flutterby Designs and also a stamp set from Kellie Stamps!
We've had a great Summer and it's nice to record those moments while they are still fresh ☺
Once again, I've used the Project Life app to edit my photo and add some text.  I'm really loving the simplicity of doing it this way!
I've used photo cards from the Everyday Super Cool pack from Flutterby Designs.  The colours in this pack are great for Summer themed pages.
Here are some close-up's:
The tickets are great embellishments also with the flair buttons!
This is the 'Words of Wisdom' stencil and I've used it in two ways.
First, I've used a pen to stencil in some of the words on to my background paper.  Then I've gone over it with Heidi Swapp colour shine spray.  It's a nice layered effect.
For my title, I've used the 'stand tall alpha' from Kellie Stamps!
First, I've stamped my letters onto some watercolour paper using Memento Black. I've left enough room to be able to use a circle punch to cut out the letters.  Then I've sprayed over the letters with Heidi Swapp colour shine.  Once dry, I've cut out each letter with a 1" circle punch.
I've popped up each letter on foam dots to give some dimension!

super cool dude

Hello there, I love getting goodies in the mail - it helps with the creativity!  I received an order from Flutterby Designs and whipped up this page yesterday.

I've been doing a bit of photo editing with the Project Life Becky Higgins App - I've made a 4x6 collage - photo, filler card and journal card - all in one.  It's printed up nicely and it's so quick and easy!
Here are some closeup's of the page:

I purchased this word stencil - it has a great thickness to the stencil which gives nice texture to the page.
I've added in some water colour to the background as it suits the theme of the page.
Lots of great stuff to play around with including the flair badges.

Check out the Flutterby Designs store - they have great designs!

Thanks for popping by ♥

inspire ~~ create - mixed media canvas art

Hello there!  It's been a while since I've created anything on canvas - I was cleaning thru my craft supplies and re-organising 'stuff', finding hidden treasures and inspired by my supplies ........................... so I got about creating and came up with this piece ☺  I'm so happy with how it's turned out - it's reminded me that I love doing this form of art and I want to keep creating and painting!
I've used suppies from Prima, Kaisercraft and chipboard pieces from Your Creative Wings.  I love these colours and it looks so lovely in my craft room.
Here are some close-up's:
Prima always have the most beautiful flowers!
There's plenty of texture with stencil work and chipboard.

I have a few more idea's of some canvas pieces I'd like to make - hope to be back soon to share.
Thanks for coming by ♥

some kind of wonderful - Kraft Plus challenge

Hello there, I'm jumping in early this month on the 'scrapbooking challenge train'!  I've joined in with the challenge at Kraft Plus - they have this awesome challenge for March!

Here's what I've come up with:

I picked out another photo from our recent road trip - I love this one of my eldest and youngest lads!
I've flipped the sketch over to one side.  I've found a few papers with the houndstooth pattern on it and have included these on my page.
Here's some close-up's:

I found some fun embellishments in my stash and I even used a border punch - it's good to go back to some simple supplies and get some more use out of them ☺
I love mini pegs ♥  and the word 'hello' ♥

That's all from me for today - have a lovely weekend!
