Strong - Authentique - The Scrapbook Store

It's a cold Winters day, perfect for being inside and catching up on blogging!!  I just wanted to share with you a canvas I made using up some of the left-over bits in my kit from The Scrapbook Store.  I've been working with the 'Strong' collection by Authentique ☺

This canvas uses some of the pattern papers in this collection, some Prima, chipboard, Prima pegs, lots of Silks Acrylic Glaze and a few other bits and pieces in my stash.
My canvas started by adding layers of pattern paper to create the background.  I've swiped over some areas with the Yellow Rose Glaze - this colour goes more towards a mustard shade of yellow, so it's not too bright ☺
Here are some close-up's:

I've made use of some Prima packaging and added it in as a tag behind the photo.  The chipboard title has been painted with the Yellow Rose glaze.  There's a lot of background action - painting with bubble wrap, using a chevron stencil and fun little sequins.

The Prima pegs are from the Lady Bird collection and they fit in well with my colour scheme.  I've also used some Prima blooms.
Behind the photo I've made up some tags using some lined cardstock - these have been given a light coat of water and the Yellow Rose Glaze - i've also used the Glaze to do some stamping and splatters - these little pots of paint are so versatile!!
This balloon chipboard is from 2 Crafty Chipboard - I've used Silks Acrylic Glaze in Silver Bells   to give it some colour - with some stamping, ink, a Prima bloom and flair badge, the balloon has become an embellishment for my canvas!!  I've used some chevron washi tape along the edges.
I have used lots of different stamps, mediums and embellishments - if you have any questions please leave them in the comments ☺

I hope you've enjoyed my inspiration for the Strong collection by Authentique - it's available in store as well as lots of other wonderful products.  Don't forget about the EOFY sale - lots of items reduced - check them out today ☺
Enjoy your weekend ♥

Lift Chain Blog Hop - The Studio Challenges

Welcome to the next step of the Lift Chain, you should you have come here from Anna's blog  and here's my lift of her layout:

I loved using Anna's page as my inspiration - it had lots of lovely elements and I liked the overall design - the circles were especially cool and I've included them into my page.
I've used some Heidi Swapp papers along with a few flair badges from Greatest View and a few other items from my stash. ☺Here are some close-up's:

A little cluster of goodies - doily from my stash, the boy stamp is from Give a Girl a ..... STAMPS.
Two chipboard elements, the 'love' word and a mason jar by Echo Park Papers. I've wrapped some yellow twine around the jar and then added in a flair badge.  The photo sits on a shipping tag!!
The little chevron bag is also from Greatest View - I love their selection of embellishments.  I've hand-stitched through each circle element.

We would love you to lift any of the layouts along the way, please link up your creations at the side bar of The Studio blog  for a chance to win a great prize from chipboard company Tando
Please hop on to Daphne's blog for the next lift'

Strong - Authentique - The Scrapbook Store

Hey everyone - happy weekend.  Just popping in to share another page from my DT kit for The Scrapbook Store.
I think in every collection - there is that one special piece of pattern paper that is really cool and you don't want to cut it up or cover it too much.
This double-side 12x12 paper called 'Mighty' is one of those papers!!
I've used it as my base for this next page:

I've just used the one photo of my husband with his dad and our boys!!  Got to snap moments like this ☺  As I said before, the main piece of paper is 'Mighty' from this collection.  I've also used 'Foundations' 12x12 paper and cut out all the individual words on the paper to include them as part of my journal work.  I've used some chipboard by 2 Crafty and some Prima trinkets.  Here are some close-up's:

The chipboard piece " The Measure of a Man' is by 2 Crafty Chipboard - I've just inked the edges and stamped lightly with a script stamp as I did not want to loose any of the details.
I love these Prima Vintage trinkets - they just add that something extra without it being to 'flowery' ☺
And another trinket with also a close-up of the individual words that I've cut out.  I've inked the edges and added some of my script stamping too.  The strips of journal work have been printed from the computer.

That was my third page using this collection and they have all been different.  This collection is very versatile, even though it lends itself towards masculine and the Father's Day theme.  I still have my Step-by-Step to share and I'm also working on a canvas using up bits and pieces from this collection and also the Silks Acrylic Glaze.

The Scrapbook Store is having it's End Of Financial Year Sale - there are over 800 products reduced by 25% - so please check out the store to grab yourself a bargain - happy shopping ☺

Have a great weekend and hope you can find some crafting time for yourself ☺

Strong - Authentique - The Scrapbook Store

Hello - hope your week is going well.  Just popping in to share my 2nd page using the 'Strong' collection by Authentique for The Scrapbook Store.
At first glance, this really looks like quite a masculine collection, but today I've managed to put a more feminine page together.
Here it is:

The photo is a little 'selfie' of my youngest and I, taken  a year ago ☺  I've used pattern papers from the collection - the main one being 12x12 double-sided Marvelous.  It has lovely stripes and patterns and definitely has a feminine appeal about it.  I've done some machine stitching, using flowers, die-cuts and sequins. Here are some close-up's:

When a paper collection does not have many embellishments, I tend to make my own - best of all they co-ordinate, as I use the paper from the collection.  Here I've made some large rolled roses using the Die-namics MFT Die.  I've also added in some blossoms and sequins for sparkle.
The word-cut-out 'you & me' is from the 12x12 double sided paper Foundations - I've cut it out and inked the edges.  There is also a Kaisercraft bloom and a little charm - Vintage Bike - which tells a bit of a story because the photo was taken at the park which we ride too!!  My journaling is printed from the computer - I've cut the words separately, inked the edges and then used foam tape to pop them up!
Another embellishment that I've made - these are the die-cut balloons from Memory Box - I've inked the edges and added in a sequin - the paper doily gives the page another nice feminine touch ☺
And here is a super cute little wood veneer house by Prima - such sweet little details ♥

So that is another page and totally different from my previous one ☺  Hope you like ☺  If you love these products - you can check them out online at The Scrapbook Store - lots of great goodies in this shop and heaps more always coming in ☺  Thanks for coming by.

Strong - Authentique ~ The Scrapbook Store

Hello - hope you are well ☺  For the month of June, I will be creating with Strong - Authentique for The Scrapbook Store.
This collection is fairly masculine, but has some great pattern papers that you could use for lots of different themes.   I've already dug into my kit and created a few pages - all very different.  This month I will also be doing a tutorial on one of my pages using this kit.
But today, I'm sharing this first page - which includes a number of photo's:
I've used some pictures of my husband with our youngest - these have been taken almost a year ago!  Today I want to show you how I scrapped them on this page using a number of photo's from the same moment and how photo's can tell a story when you include more than one.
I've used some of the pattern papers: 12x12 double sided - Clever & 12x12 double sided - Marvelous.  Also one of my favourite masks - this chevron pattern with texture magic.
Here are some close-up's:

The chevron details - I used texture magic and also outline with a black pen.  The black foam letters are from my stash.  I've used my Silhouette to create the word 'this' as part of the title.
Another chevron pattern using some of the pattern paper and a photo corner punch.  In this section, I've created a folder to include an additional photo.
This is the additional photo with some more journalling.  It's quite easy to add more photo's to your pages by creating pockets or folders with pattern papers.  I love how this has turned out and it helps to tell the story about what happened at the moment ☺
These are some of the double sided die-cut blocks - I've tied some twine around one of the pieces.

So this is just one of my pieces of inspiration using this fabulous collection - I will be sharing more soon.  If you would like to have these papers - check out The Scrapbook Store to view the entire collection ☺
Thanks for coming by ♥

The Studio Challenge Blog - we love you

Hello.  Over the weekend, a new challenge went up at The Studio Challenges - add some stitching to your page - either by hand or machine stitching.  Easy and fun!!
Here's my DT inspiration:

I like to add stitching to my pages - sometimes using my machine and other times by hand - even though that takes a lot longer ☺  For this page, I used the WRMK Sew Easy Tool to create the stitching line and then I hand-stitched in the white thread.  I love the contrast of it against the blue pattern paper.
I've used the Pebbles - Family Ties collection with some Prima flowers and trinket - here are some close-up's:

The lovely Prima vines, blossoms and trinket.  I've also created some texture to the background with texture magic and a stencil.
A close-up of the stitching and a crochet doily -  I still have these in my stash!!
And some of the cute stickers and words in the Family Ties collection - I've lined them up to create a small banner.

For more details about this challenge - pop over to The Studio Challenge blog - also check out the inspiration from the Design Team - we hope you can play along ☺

June sketch for The Scrapbook Store

Hello to you on this first day of June and also Winter :)  It's certainly starting off very chilly!
The beginning of the month and that means new challenges.  Today I'm sharing the sketch for June from The Scrapbook Store - it's by Page Maps:

 JuneSketch
Here is my take on the sketch:
I've used an older collection from Echo Park - For the Record 2 - I love the greens and how they've worked so well with my photo.  Here are some close-up's of the details:

Here I've recycled a roll of 'finished tape' - I've adhered strips of pattern paper on the inside and outside of the roll and placed it over the photo.  I've been wanted to try this one out for a while and I love how it's turned out on this page.  I've created a flower cluster using some Prima blooms and leaves.
The chipboard pieces and stickers are also from this EP collection
Here is another view of the 'tape roll' photo frame.
These rub-on's are by Kaisercraft.

Isn't this a great sketch!!  We hope you can join in this month ☺  A random winner will be chosen for a $40.00 voucher from the store, so we look forward to seeing your page in the gallery!
