my top 10 creations from 2012

Hello, hope you are all well on this last day of the year ☺  Enjoy it whatever you may be doing!!   Just popping in to share my Top 10 creations from this past year and am linking it up to Kellie's blog.  A great way to reflect over the past year - I have had a blast creating over this past year, being in a few wonderful design teams as well as creating for The Scrapbook Store - so thankful for these opportunities ☺

I've picked a page from each month; so instead of 10 I have 12!!

I'm going to use some of these pages as my inspiration board for the start of the year - to get me back into the scrappin' groove.  We are having some very hot weather at the moment and are going to enjoy some camping time away.  So I will be back after that to share my new creations for 2013.  Happy new year to one and all and God bless. xx

this letter

Hello - I have one more page to share which will finish off my collection of Then & Now by Teresa Collins - I have totally LOVED working with these papers and embellishments ☺
The other day my little man was playing with this letter C and I was taking some pictures of him.  Of course, he wants to take pictures too so I let him take a few -  when I was editing my photo's I found this one I liked ☺  And decided to use it for a page.
I've used the 12x12 chevron pattern paper for the base and have done some subtle stamping using ink and also Silks Glaze.  I've gone with a banner style design - you will know it's my favourite by now.  I've added in a few hand-made embellishments and some paper lace doilies.  Here are some close-up's:

I have used a number of the die-cut accessories - the little tags and words make it so easy.  I've even used some of the packing for one of the banners along with the cute decorative brads.
My journalling is a bible text which goes well with this letter c!

a moment shared

Hello - back to share another page using product from my DT kit from The Scrapbook Store - I've been working with the Now and Then collection by Teresa Collins - loving these papers and embellishments very much.  And I've been enjoying working with some photo's of my younger years too ☺
What I love the most, is the ease at which you can put a page together using some of my favourites from this collection - the die-cut borders - strips of pattern paper ready for you to put in place - die-cut pieces from the accessory sheet - banners, tags and little words, ready to add to your page - and of course the gorgeous pattern papers.
Here are some close-up's:
... I've also used some of my favourite flowers by Prima and Kaisercraft - love adding in bits of cotton thread and twine too ...  the background stamping is done in ink and also some of the fabulous Silks Acrylic Glaze - I've simply applied the paint to my stamps and added random pieces to my page ...

this is me

Hello - I have my first page to share using my December kit from The Scrapbook Store - I've been given the fabulous collection - Then & Now by Teresa Collins - this paper is just gorgeous ☺ So happy to be working with this lovely collection!
Here is my page:
I was inspired to use some 'older' pictures of me when I was little ☺ This one was taken on my second birthday ☺  For my background I've used the 12x12 woodgrain paper - for once, just leaving it as is, with no textures or misting.  I've also used some pieces from the accessory sheet - the bunting and journal strips, also some of the die-cut borders - these make your pages come together so easily.
There is also some of the WOW chipboard which I've painted with Silks Acrylic Glaze in Silver Bells - this is gorgeous stuff to work with.
So here are some close-up's:
I've made my own ruffled flower using some of the pattern paper and a scallop edge punch, then adding in a decorative brad from this collection.  As mentioned, I've used some Acrylic Glaze on the chipboard - I've simply given it two coats to create a nice shimmer finish to the piece - as you can see I've cut the chipboard is two so that I could use it in two places on my page.

all dressed up ...

Hello - hope your week is going well ☺  I'm here to share my inspiration for the challenge at ARTastic.

The requirements for the challenge are to have large, bold pattern paper or paint and below is the inspiration picture - by Emma Hack

Here is my page:
I've gone with a similar colour palette to the painting.  My bold pattern paper is a Hambly transparency placed over a blue cardstock base - love the effect of this ☺ And I've used a very recent picture of me and my husband at a wedding we just attended.  Always nice to get a picture together ... all dressed up ☺  Here are some close-up's:
... Kaisercraft and Prima blooms ... swirls of cotton thread and string pearls ... also added in rhinestones and pearls ...
... yellow sticker letters by Prima ... the pattern cardstock is from My Minds Eye ...

Pop over to the ARTastic blog to see more inspiration for this fantastic challenge - we hope you will join us this month - great prizes up for the winner ☺
And sadly, this is my last post for ARTastic - I've been with this challenge blog for about 18 months and have really enjoyed the challenges each month.  So thank you Jane and the rest of the team - I hope to play along from the other side ☺

our christmas

Hello -  White with One have recently announced their new Design Team for the next six months and I'm thrilled to be staying on - I love their challenges!! So I'm here to share my page for the White with One - December challenge:
White & Red & Christmas - a fitting theme for this time of year and here's what I've created:
... this is not your typical Christmas page ... but our Christmas times are usually spent away camping with family and friends ... something we look forward to doing each year ☺
So there is plenty of white, dashes of red and a description of what our Christmas is all about!
Here are some close-up's:
... used gesso, muslin, garden stick, some prima flowers - have also stamped the words - love, joy peace, onto my photo - I love how this turned out ☺
... some more gorgeous prima flowers and shells from the beach ..

We hope you will have time to play along during this busy month - there are lots of great prizes including a voucher from one of our sponsors - The Scrapbook Store.  We look forward to seeing your pages ☺

this is you

December is here - and it's officially Summer ☺  The beginning of the month means all the new challenges are out.  I have my page to share for The Scrapbook Store
monthly sketch - check out this beautiful sketch:
 ... and here's what I've created:
... yep, another one of my littlest man - he's always with me, so I guess he gets the most photo's during the day while his brothers are at school.
I've used papers by Glitz Design - Cashmere Dame and Core'dinations - Leapfrog Chevrons.
Here are some close-up's:
... this flower is made using the Memory Box die-cut - Tilth Floral - I LOVE it - here I've used both pieces to create a more 3D look and added a button to the centre ...
... teeny alpha's by Glitz Design and AC thickers in yellow foam ... chevrons made using a photo-corner punch ...
... another die-cut - this one is by Poppy Stamps called Simple Banner ... I've cut out two and added some faux flair buttons in-between ... lots of computer journalling - just random thoughts about my boy ♥ ... as part of the sketch element - I've done some outlining in black pen and machine stitching ...

We hope you will find some time in this busy month to complete the sketch - there is a $40.00 voucher from The Scrapbook Store for the winner ☺  And it's also the 3rd birthday for the store - so there will be 20% off Storewide until Christmas eve (some exclusions apply) - WOW - what a great time to go shopping ☺

Thanks for coming by and I'll be back over the next few days to share more new challenges ☺
