friends

Hello!!  I've joined in with another challenge from the 123 Challenges - for March the criteria is:
use the numbers 1 2 3
metallic blue
something organic
Here's what I've come up with:

I love all the papers from My Minds Eye, especially the wood grain effects.  They make the perfect backgrounds.  I've used this photo of my boys with their best friend - the three have such fun times together, especially when camping and fishing ☺
Here are some close-up's:
... a super star from Charms Creations ... some metallic blue brads ...
... something organic - a few sticks from the garden to make the bunting ...
... and my journalling with the numbers 1 2 3 ....

I really loved putting this LO together and for once...... I've used no flowers☺  It's all boy!!

OK, I'm off now to get ready for our weekend away up in Perth - we have a wedding to celebrate!  I cannot wait to share some photo's and memories of this special day.

Til next time - thanks for coming by ☺

little man

Hey everyone, hope you are having a great week.  I had a 'scrappin' day last week with a friend and I managed to get stuck into a few monthly challenges.  So much fun!!  One of them being for the Hambly Sketch Challenge.  This is my LO - using lots of Hambly of course☺
I've used a picture of my cute little nephew - whilst visiting recently, we had a wonderful walk around the garden and took some pictures - such a cute little man!!
My background is the mini brocade by Hambly.  I've used some kraft paper bags to mat the photo's, added in some washi tape and brads/flowers for some of the circle elements.
Here are some close-up's:
... a chipboard balloon designed by Leeann Pearce which I've covered in washi tape...

... i've even used some of the Hambly packaging with the little birdies ...
... letters are by American Crafts ...

Here is the sketch to work with:
I'm really enjoying creating with Hambly - just got another order in full of yummy transparencies and some rub-on's - cannot wait to get stuck into it!!
I hope to be back soon with some more LO's to share!!  Thanks for visiting.

a special tea for the bride to be

It's been a little while since I've created for the HBS monthly challenges - but I had the perfect photo for this beautiful sketch, so it was calling me to play along.
This is a picture of my youngest sister who is getting married very soon!!  We are so excited and cannot wait for this special day.  We had the Kitchen Tea on the weekend and I took some pictures.
All the papers are from Basic Grey - Kissing Booth collection - I've also used some of the paper and canvas embellishments from the same collection!
Here are some close-up's:
... I ♥ clusters of embellishments, especially flowers - here are some assorted ones from my stash, layered with chiffon ...
... a bit of gesso and ink in the background, some of the canvas and paper tags/embellishments and AC Thickers and Kasiercraft little letters ...
... some more of the letters and the journalling ...

And here is the fabulous sketch - you can find lots of inspiration for this sketch in the gallery at HBS!

Thanks for coming to visit ☺

beach bum

hello - it feels like forever that I've been here to share something - I have been busy creating though, working on some things for a shop!!  I hope to share that with you soon ☺
Today I got this LO together for the sketch challenge at Basic Grey - the sketch is by Leeann and is such a fabulous and fun sketch to play with and of course you need to use Basic Grey papers☺
So here is my take on the sketch"
So this is not your typical beachy theme LO with these pattern papers, but I decided to try and make them work anyway.  I just LOVE these photo's of my little one with his cousin♥♥.
Most of the papers are from the Picadilly collection - I've also used some of the Basic Grey fabric bloomers and sticker letters for the title.
Here are some close-up's:
... love these fabric bloomers ... Basic Grey sticker letters - I've outlined in a black pen ... and a resin bird from Polly Scrap Kits...
... the flag element of the sketch with twine and another fabric bloomer ...
... I've also added in lots of stitching ... and some stamping using Basic Grey stamps ...

And here is the fun sketch to work with:
Ok, that's all for today - thanks so much for coming by - I appreciate you looking at my work.

fun

Over at ARTastic, we have a great challenge, especially for using all those photo's from Summer!!  Using the painting as inspiration we also have some added criteria:
Palm trees or palm leaves
Photo taken at beach
2-3 beach embellishments

Here's the LO I came up with:
I got a bit 'arty' with this page and used some gesso, paint and stamps to make up some texture in the background - just enough to give it some colour.
I've used some Kaisercraft papers for the Palm Trees and the rest is from Simple Stories.
Here are some close-up's:
... the little tag banner with beach embellishments and a chipboard beach hut ...
... the chipboard beach hut designed by Leeann Pearce ...
... and some more fun embellishments from the Chip-Chop Shop ...

and here is the inspiration painting - very beachy and summery!!We would love to see you all play along this month and especially welcome newcomers!!  There are great prizes and the criteria makes for a very fun challenge.  Pop over to the blog to view all the details of how to join in and also check out the inspiration from the Design Team - we hope to see you there.
