This is Hanna

Well these are my new Hanna Stamps, all the way from the US. Kristy from Kreations By Krissy has launched her own range of stamps. Check out her blog to read all about how you can get these really cute stamp sets. (http://www.kreationsbykrissy.com)

The images have been stamped with Stazon Black and coloured-in. One of the cards has the dress paper pieced to match with background. I've teamed it up with Stampin'Up cardstock and DP. It was a lot of fun working with some different stamps. I think I'll send one of these cards to someone I know, who looooves shopping and is always buying bags!!??!!

Christmas cards

A couple more Christmas card samples, I've been working on.

Card 1:
Stamp set: Holiday Print, Scribble This
Cardstock: True Thyme, Cranberry Crisp, Confetti White
Ink: True Thyme, Cranberry Crisp
Accessories: Cranberry stitched ribbon, White gel pen

I've stamped the Thyme and Cranberry cardstock with ink using Scribble This. For the square, I've used part of the Holiday Print BG stamp, then matted onto the Thyme. Finished off with some stitched cranberry ribbon and hi-lighted the background with the white gel pen.

Card 2:
Stamp Set: Wishing You (from Spring mini) Fine Lace BG
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Cranberry Crisp, Choc Chip
Ink: Bashful Blue, Choc Chip
Accessories: Cranberry stitched ribbon, Paper peircing, Circle punch

The layout and style of this card was CASED. When I saw this card, I just loved it and had to try one myself, just with different colours. It's amazing what colours you can use for Christmas cards. So I've given you a view of the card, open and closed.

Beauty....

Baby carrots!

The first vege's in our garden are ready. The boys have been asking for the last few weeks, "when can we pull up the carrots". Well, today after church, we had a little look. Not the most perfect looking baby carrots, but they were ready to eat. Within minutes, the boys had washed some and were already munching!! Carrots are one of their favourite vege's. If I see them with an orange mouth, I know they've been eating carrots. I think the lettuce will be ready next. They are growing great!!

Stampin' for fun

Wow, check out this big pile of cards!! Yesterday afternoon and this morning, I've been stamping with Makeesha, my friend and stampin' upline. She came down from Perth and stayed overnight, so we could have this stampin' time together. Thanks so much, Keesh. It was so nice to stamp together, chat and share idea's. And I was very happy to have a nice bunch of cards for my sample box at the end of the day. Below are a couple of the cards I made.

The first card uses a colour combination that I just love and will certainly be trying it again. I was inspired by Lee-Anne's challenge on the Yahoo website. The card layout is also a little different; I've trimmed half the cardstock off the front, so the stamped image you can see is actually on the base of the card. The stamped image is from 'Sassy Stems'.
The second and third cards uses a set which I haven't done much with - 'Good Times Grow'; I thought it was a great opportunity to get it out. I've used Heat & Stick powder and glitter on the third card. First time I've used that technique and I will certainly be doing that again. Lots of sparkle and fun!!

Christmas with Certain Celery & Cranberry Crisp

It's never too early to start working on Christmas cards. These two are non-traditional cards using different colours and stamps; but it was fun.

-- Card 1 --
Stamps: Scribble This, All Year Cheer, Paisley
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Cranberry Crisp, Certain Celery, Glossy White
Ink: Cranberry Crisp, Certain Celery, Basic Black
Accessories: Circle & Oval Punch, Brad, Ribbon
Card is fairly basic, but I love this kind of layout. I've stamped the flower twice on Glossy White, coloured in with blender pen and ink and then cut out. Flowers are layered on top of each other and then I've attached with a brad. The sentiment comes from All Year Cheer and I've picked out the word 'joy' and used the oval punch to accent it. I couldn't leave it without doing some paper piercing using the Mat Pack.

-- Card 2 --
Stamp Sets: Scribble This, All Year Cheer
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Certain Celery, Cranberry Crisp
Ink: Certain Celery, Cranberry Crisp
Accessories: Spiral Punch, White gel pen, Ribbon, Mat pack
Another simple layout which was fun to work with. Certain Celery cardstock is stamped with Scribble This and I've high-lighted it with the white gel pen. I've also stamped on the Very Vanilla cardstock and then used the Spiral punch for some added interest. The sentiment comes from All Year Cheer which I've stamped on Very Vanilla and then matted onto Cranberry Crisp. I've made the edges rough by running my finger nail along each edge, a very handy technique to know!! And in the top corner there's some paper piercing, of course.

Hope you love them.

.....another relaxing day

It was another gorgeous sunny day, here in Busselton. This afternoon, I took the boys to Simmo's Ice-creamery. The boys always enjoy going there, and it's such a pretty place with a great little playground for the kids. So here are some happy pictures.

It's was feeling quite warm a little later on. So we went home to pick up our towels and some drinks, then headed to the beach near our place. The boys went for a swim. Not me!!! I sat on the beach, enjoying the sunshine and reading my book. Was so nice. And the boys thought it was so exciting to be swimming again. I know they are going to love summer and being at the beach!
When we got back home, Warren thought we'd take the boys fishing. Was a bit of fun for them; only caught two little whiting, the boys thought that was great. No photo's to show of the beach, as I was enjoying my book too much!
This kind of day is a little taste of what's to come as we head into warmer days.

School holidays...............and the winner is........

It's school holidays for the kids now. We've been busy doing little day trips and having a look around the place. On Monday I picked up my sister Aimee from the Bunbury train station; she is staying with us for a few days. That afternoon we went for a drive up the coast and had a play on the beach.

Yesterday, we went to the Chocolate Factory. The boys loved seeing all the yummy chocolate and having little samples. Of course we couldn't leave without buying some! And I had to take some pictures of the boys with these gorgeous Kangaroo Paws.

Today is another gorgeous sunny day. We've been down to the Stilts Cafe for a coffee and a little play on the beach. This afternoon, we are heading out to another park. It's been very relaxing and we are all enjoying the holidays so far!!
Well, I've drawn a winner for my card giveaway. Thanks to my sister Aimee for picking a name out of the bag. And the winner is.................JOYCE. Well done and I'll be posting these cards to you today.
Thats all for today. Take care.
